I installed the lastest v4.7ajax on my zencart v1.3.9b. did the quantity entry by attributes. but now all products have become "out of stock" shown in the shopping cart....
i checked the backend the qty is positive. how to fix that? pls help![]()
I have seen similar questions on the forum - but nothing quite like the one I need help with.......
It's about the Stock by Attribute addon that I've recently installed. On this page that displays one product and the Add To Basket button:
http://d157011.u42.jswebconsole.co.u...products_id=16
I see the dropdown for the (size) attribute but there is no quantity box where the customer can enter the amount they require. How can I add a quantity box?
**********************
If I select a size, and Add to Basket,
and the go to the Basket
the Quantity is 1 but it is not in a box so the customer cannot amend the quantity. How can I put this quantity in a box?
I'd be grateful for any help.

Sometimes you have to ask the question first then the answere seems to work itself out. Happens to me all the time. =)

I just updated to v1.3.9f. This add-on is not working as it did before. (it is allowing the purchase into my shopping cart of any stock size that is sold out)
I am sure that certain files were over written with new ones. I was wondering because it looks like some files were significantly changed. Should I use a program like Winmerge to merge the files instead of over-writing the newer files? (I am not sure exactly how to do this)
It looks like this add-on has not been upgraded in some time. I really cant understand why this feature isn't built into Zen cart by now. I mean it is pretty essential for any one that runs a store.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
My version is the most recent. Here you go.

I haven't submitted it to ccontribution area because I have one more update on it when I get off my vacation.
Thanks,

Last upgrade: Jul 15 2010 by the venerable Numinix and creinold has of course been working on his updates (which he has generously posted repeatedly throughout the two SBA support threads). I'd say this is a pretty actively updated mod..
Just so it's clear what SBA will and will not do (for others following this support thread) default Zen Cart supports disallowing checkout if items in the customer's cart are not in stock. This is a configurable setting and I've never had an issue with it working with SBA..
The ability to simply not add items to the cart when they are not in stock is also functionality supported by the default Zen Cart settings.
However since functionality like SBA (setting stock levels for product variants) is not part of Zen Cart core code, the current Zen Cart feature doesn't support disallowing a customer to add an individual product variant to their cart..
This is supposed to be a core part of the Zen Cart 2.0 release whenever it comes out.
