Shipping Rates that vary per unit

Hi all

I have racked my brains looking for a solution/add-on to this. My website has various shipping costs per unit, for example Desk A is £30 per unit and Chair B is £15 per unit.

I could probably get these into groups, eg £30 per unit desks and £20 per unit desks, etc.

Basically I am seeking advice on how can I set the shipping costs either per product or per group? Any help, guidance on add-ons will be gratefully received.

The shipping module Per Unit perweightunit is designed to allow the shipping cost to be entered in the Product Weight ...

The total weight of the order is then multiplied by the Rate in the Per Unit perweightunit shipping module ...

This would allow you to enter the Product Weight as 2.50 ... Buying this Product would then charge:
Qty 1 x 2.50 = 2.50
Qty 2 x 2.50 = 5.00
Qty 3 x 2.50 = 7.50

Then on the next Product, entering the Product Weight as 1.00 ... would then be:
Qty 1 x 1.00 = 1.00
Qty 2 x 2.00 = 2.00
Qty 3 x 3.00 = 3.00

Add 2 of the first Product and 3 of the second Product and the charge would be:
2 x 2.50 = 5.00
3 x 1.00 = 3.00

with the total shipping charge being: $8.00

To use this method, you should set the settings in the Shipping/Packaging for ...
Maximum Weight: 5000
Both Tare settings to: 0:0

Note: should you wish that later, you could charge more to Canada than to the US ... you could clone the Per Unit perweightunit shipping module and then set zones for the US and Canada ... then change the rate to something like 1.25 for Canada ...

This would increase the shipping rate to Canada by 25% ...

I can't see the Product weight?????? how do you get it on?

I really am not sure what you are asking ...

If you mean where do you put a weight for the Product ... when you add/edit a Product you will see it on the screen ... if you do not, do a search for:
weight

I am looking for a addonto help with this problem. I have product A for $4 and product B for $5 and product C for $9 and then the customer want a discount on the shipping. Is there an addon to edit multple orders in admin for the customer.
