    Default Re: Simple Category Tree

    I'm having the follow problem:
    Anytime someone tries to checkout with paypal, I am getting arrays in my Paypal_Action_EC*.log files for ALL categories, ALL subcats, and ALL products.

    Why might it be related to Improved SiteMap? I don't know that it is, but I just find it strange that it is ALL products, all categories, etc. Basically it spits out everything one would expect, such as the cart total, contents, etc., and then goes into the "category_tree" array. The below is a snippet of this, showing the start, then I cut out a large section and show the tail end of log. This is creating 47,398 lines total in the log...

    =================================
    as you could imagine this takes a painfully long time to complete the checkout process. I'm also pretty sure all of this data is slowing other areas of our site as well. I'm not using the simple category tree as a standalone mod, but I am using all subcats mod. Does anyone know how I might modify the files so that the simple_categories_tree array doesn't get loaded when unnecessary? Or can I get rid of it and still have all subcats functional?

    what is simple category tree mod actually do??

    I actually wants all products in a category mod.. but when i install the mod, it wasn't working as i expected with 1.3.9f... so i am not sure if it compatibility or i didn't install properly.

    after I installed the mod instead of seeing all products in subcat when click on main cat. It only display one product out of the subcat.

    thank you

    I hve been working on getting this to work on my store for two days now and can't get the categories to show up in my sidebox. I don't know if this tread is still active but I'm really stuck now and can't think what to do next.
    After debugging I am not getting any errors but I'm not sure about the output on my /templates/categories.php page I am currently using
    PHP Code:

    $content
    $_SESSION['category_tree']->buildCategoryString('ul''li'''$_GET['cPath'], 1falsetrue);
    But no joy box is still empty. Any help would be appreciated.
    Thanks

    hello, i installed all_subcats_products mod, i'm having same issue, it works for the existed categories, it also works for the products added to existed categories, but if i add a new category, the products in the new category doesn't show up on main category page. is there any way to fix it?

    Many thanks for the show sub category products mod. I installed it and it is doing it's job.

    There's just one problem... It's doing its job too well. I no longer have control over the main page, as far as I can see tpl_index_default.php is no longer being called on the main page, and consequently the index define page is not working either. I don't necessarily mind the products being listed on the main page, but I do want to include the usual stuff at the top (or at least the define page).

    Does anyone now how I can get the normal stuff to display on the home page, with the sub cat mod still working when a user clicks on a top category?

    Thanks
