html editor showing as code on site

Hello, this is my first post so please forgive me if I am missing anything really simple. On my (just downloaded) version of Zen when I use the html area editor I can toggle between html code and text no problem and all looks ok both ways. However when I save, whichever method I use all the markup appears on the site. I have used these type of editors before and I am sure that I am missing something really easy but I just cant see what it is.
I am using a "lite_red" skin on the site which is located at http://www.preciousponies.co.uk and is still in the early build stages. Thanks to anyone who can help in advance. Best wishes : Dom
