UPS Pricing to much

Hi Guys,

I setup UPS pricing on my site and i think its charging little too much for my kind of store...

Here are my options

Right now for 1 day its charging 30 dollars same city and from la to ny its charging 65 dollars. I think this is little to much since its small and light items.

Is there a way where I can lower this prices?

Could you check your settings in the Configuration ... Shipping/Packaging ... and see what the Tare Rates are ...

By default, for example, the small/medium Tare Rate setting for 0:3 is adding 3lbs to each order ... if you do not want this, change them to: 0:0

i actually am having the same issue.

all my tare rates are set at 0:0. and i have all the same basic settings the original poster has.

You need to provide some sort of examples of the Ship From and Ship to addresses and the weight that you are shipping in order for us to test this and the amounts that you are seeing on the shipping methods ...

You also might want to compare the rates generated by the shipping estimator on the UPS website. For smaller packages their rates can be ridiculous. If your tare is set correctly then it's probably right.

UPS.com says $9 something.

and my work is on a college campus, and we actually have a ups calculator here in our warehouse, and they told me it was $5.11 to ship it ground (which is the only method we are shipping).
