help question Order Information not being passed to Authorize.Net

    Version 1.3.9h
    No Add-ons.
    In Test Mode now.
Only display/layout customization is to page header. All other non-default settings have been set using admin.
    Authorize.net SIM
    Site hosted on Bluehost
    www.premiumpassport.com/alist/ZenCart/

When i add a product to cart, then go thru checkout, when the order gets sent over to Authorize for payment info, it does not pass the order information.

Is there any way this can be corrected? Is there something i have missed in the admin center regarding what information i need to show? I would also like the coupon code to be passed all the way thru payment to the invoice. Please advise

I need to have this online and working tomorrow if you can offer any help. Thanks in advance.

application error Re: Order Information not being passed to Authorize.Net

In addition to what i described above,

When i add a product to cart, then go thru checkout, when the order gets sent over to Authorize for payment info, it does not pass the order information. It also does not pass the order information onto the interim stages of the ZenCart checkout. i.e., Step 2 and Step 3 does not show any information about the product ordered, even before moving over to Authorize for payment info and purchase.

I have searched the forum for any info on this and can't see any clues.

    Thanks again!

What "order information" are you expecting to see? All it passes is the total due for payment. The rest of the details are in your store.

Step 1 is shipping-selection, and the product details are not shown.
Step 2 is payment-selection, and only the order subtotals are shown.
Step 3 is order-confirmation prior to collecting actual payment. All the cart contents and subtotals will show on this page. If they don't, then you've broken things on your site, either with customizations or addons, or corrupted PHP files due to bad uploads.

    I'm sorry, i wasn't specific enough.

The ITEM name appears in Step 3 but upon clicking checkout and moving to the Authorize.Net server for payment info, the ITEM name does not get passed along with the total. So on the customer email receipt (from Authorize.net) there is no way for the customer to see exactly what they have purchased.

So, the question is, is there some setting that allows the ITEM name or description in Step 3 to be passed along with the Total amount over to the Authorize.Net payment screen?

    Thanks again for your help!

Correct. Nor does the customer need to see any such details, since they'll be getting a complete detailed invoice email from your store once they've completed payment.

No, there is no such setting.

application error Re: Order Information not being passed to Authorize.Net

currently the customer receipt with missing info is coming from Authorize.Net.

so i need to change the response/receipt to
    http://www.premiumpassport.com/alist...eckout_payment

then the customer will get the correct receipt from ZenCart with the item info etc etc.

    correct?

sorry for my ignorance - i am a novice and a newbie on shopping carts. thanks again

    1. Zen Cart will automatically email the customer a detailed receipt immediately when the order is paid for and the checkout-success screen is displayed on your site. There's nothing extra you need to do for that to happen.

    2. If the second email, an Authorize.net receipt that Authorize.net is emailing to the customer is confusing your customers, then TURN THAT OFF by selecting "False" under "Customer Notifications" in your Zen Cart Authnet SIM settings. That's the default setting anyway.

great. i have turned off email notifications for Authorize.

i have placed an order using my customer account, but i have not received the email confirmation of it.

i put the same email address from my customer account on the new order email notification in email settings, and i received that new order noitification. (the email receipt that the customer gets from zencart looks great, btw)

sooo... why am i not receiving the customer confirmation from the system, and yet i am receiving the new order notification, when both go to the same email address?

    almost there.
    thanks for your help.
