Charge members each month for a membership?

I just wanted to know if you can charge members each month for a membership using this program if you can can you please tell me how I go about doing this.

This might be an old thread but that caught my eye. I have set up some video teaching lessons for a graphic program and currently, we have them set up in a forum that has to be manually approved and rechecked for a specific duration. I am thinking of going another route, and give monthly access to the videos upon membership, but this would require automatic recurring system (even if the access removal would be done manually).

So my question is, instead of a one larger fee for a longer term access, is there a way zencart can manage to sell a recuring membership fee (which could then be smaller if someone only wants one month access and cancel after)?

You would also have problems with payment processing.

If you use a payment gateway SAGEPAY you can setup that to take an initial payment and auto payments for x length of time...

Would you mind giving me a bit more information on SAGEPAY? I have never heard of it.

Never mind. I thought it had to do with a variation of Paypal, but i see it is not.

But, as far as I am aware, not via the Zen Cart Sage Pay modules. If I'm wrong then I apologise, but you also need to have your Sage Pay account set up to permit you to take recurring payments - and they don't give that to everyone.
