Default Tax and GST seem to be separate

    Hi,

My tax is showing as 0% but the 10% Goods and services tax (GST) is added on afterwards.

This is not quite right as the Postage is also subject to GST.

    Should read:
    10% Tax
    Sub Total: $84.00
    Postage: $9.45
Includes GST: $8.50 ($7.64 goods and $0.84 postage)
    Total: $93.45

I am really confused as to where to start

    zc 1.5.5a
    Australia Post Shipping Module 2.1

    Thanks
    Kenton

There are several independed issues to attend to:

    1. your products are set up as not taxable or else the tax whould show as 10% for each and every product - but the tax is added to the products total

What are your settings for tax classes?

What are your settings for Zone Definitions - Taxes, Payment and Shipping?

Is 'Display Prices with Tax' set to true or false?

    2. no tax is included in the postage

Is this a fresh install of ZC 1.5.5a or was this store upgraded from a previous version?

If the store has been upgraded then look at this post:

    1) Sorry, I should have mentioned that they display correctly (tax included) on the product_info page: http://www.skysports.com.au/index.ph...roducts_id=246

    2) 1.5.5a is a new install but I did copy some database data from an old version.
    Zen Cart 1.5.5a
    Database Patch Level: 1.5.5
    v1.5.5a [2016-06-03 22:40:54] (New Installation-v155a)

I believe they are taxable as on the product page they have different gross and net values:

BUT as soon as I log in, they become tax free ...

I have one tax class: Taxable Goods.
I have Zones for each country (15 pages of them) with Australia having 8 zones, 1 per state.
    I have 1 Zone Definition:
    Zone Name: Australia;
    Zone Desc: Australian GST:
    Zone Status: Green
    Details ....
    Country: Australia
Zone: "Please Select ..." <-- THIS WAS THE PROBLEM ... Needed an entry for each state
    Tax Rates:
    Tax Class: Taxable Goods
    Zone: Australia
    Tax Rate: 10%
    Description: GST
