The attribute grid seems to be working fine, but in the admin I am getting the message "Warning: Absolute's Product Attribute Grid was detected, however the Product Option Type for Attribute Grid was not fully installed in the database. Temporarily configuring PRODUCTS_OPTIONS_TYPE_ATTRIBUTE_GRID = 23997" whenever we go to the "orders" area in the admin. I tried reinstalling it. The version I had didn't have a database option to install (no SQL file). I suspect it has something to do with this being an upgraded cart (from 1.3.8 to 1.5.1) and maybe the OLD installation left some DB table that shouldn't be there? But I can't find it. Can you help?

This message is issued by the Edit Orders plugin, as a protective measure. You might try searching that plugin's support thread for details.

Just FYI, Edit Orders lobbed it back at you guys...They said:

"Absolute's Product Attribute Grid" adds an extra "Product Option Type" to the database. However when testing compatibility with Edit Orders, we found "Absolute's Product Attribute Grid" does not follow the Zen Cart conventions (does not add the type to all locations in the database, does not use a constant, etc). This may cause unintended side effects and potential issues in the future when upgrading Zen Cart / installing additional plugins.

The "warning" will go away once the "Product Option Type" added by "Absolute's Product Attribute Grid" follows Zen Cart conventions. Please do not post "workarounds" in this thread on disabling the warning. Thank You.

They didn't exactly lob this back here as much as they clarified that the warning message states that there is an issue with THIS module. Edit Orders does a check for the existence of this module and issues that warning accordingly..

As the warning (and clarification) indicates the issue is that this module needs to be modified.. It has some flaws in the coding..

Great to see this module is still being used some 6 years after I developed and released it to the community.

Obviously since there has been a new version of Zen released, this module needs a little tweak here and there. And of course, PHP development has moved on to a more OOP approach.

If there is enough interest, this module will be re-visited, and a new, updated version, with some additional features released.

The question is..... is there any interest, and what would you like to see added?

I would love to have some help with the module and would be interested in some additions. The main addition that people wanted was to make it simple to just have products in a line.

The main addition that I would love is the ability to split the grid, or have multiple grids on the same product.

What I am aiming for is having more than one grid on the same product and the ability to have the grids tabbed behind products.

I would pay for a module that did this!

My main issue at the moment is that the attributes are not correctly being added to the cart, as seen here:

It appears the way in which your attributes has been set up is incorrect on this product. There appears to be a blank attribute along with the Doors attribute, and this is why it's not adding to your cart correctly.

There is a brand new version of stock by attributes which really fixes a number of the original problems with the mod but I'm not seeing that the attributes grid works with it. Has anyone else tried the new version?

Looking at the attributes.php file it looks like it's supposed to install a configuration key for Attribute Grid Installed and CONFIG_ATTRIBUTE_OPTION_GRID_INSTALLED but there isn't a configuration setting for this in the database. Could this be the main problem?
