Changing Sidebox Shopping cart layout

I presently have a shopping cart image and when something is added to the cart I have an image of the item plus a description that appears under the shopping cart image.

What I would like is to have the shopping cart image on a white background and under the image the following text 0 item(s) in cart, with the zero changing as items are added. I don't want anything else other than the go to checkout box that appears when your still shopping.
Can I do this from within the zenCart module or do I have to download and install another Mod.

P.S.I've read several threads for the past 3/4 of an hour and can't find anything similar.

There must be someone able to help or suggest something I could do to get the look that I'm looking for.

I'm very close to going live just a couple of minor items to fix. Any help is appreciated

Sorry, I'm not sure exactly what you're asking.

Right now, when I add something to the cart on your site, I see the product image (turnoffable in Admin - Configuration - Images), the quantity, the product name and, below a line, the price, followed by the Checkout button.

How much of that don't you want in there?

What I would like, or I should say what the store owner would like, is where the Cart image is, under the image would be
0 item(s) in your cart. I don't want any of the other information to appear, only the Go To Checkout Button once item(s) are added to cart

I will change the Background color on that particular box heading to white as well.

I'd probably use this:

and hack the cart_summary.php file to remove the weight and total. You could add the cart image to the sidebox header.

I've just installed the Shopping Cart Summary Sidebox module. The only file I altered as per installation guide is the cart_summary_sidebox.php file. I removed the "weight" and "Amount. also in the : define('BOX_HEADING_CART_CONTENTS', '0 ITEM(S) IN YOUR CART:');.

The item image and description still appear in the sidebox. Do I have to alter another file.

I have turned off image in admin/configuration as well as in other admin/configuration files. but the Item image and description still appear.

Help Please

I've installed the Module Shopping Cart Summary Sidebox.
I've gotten the Style I want in My Sidebox header see: http://30408.vws.magma.ca/TTEZENCART

The problem is that when I add an item to cart I stll get the image and description plus the number of items displaying under the header.

This is what I don't want. I want that when you add something to the cart that the 0 in the header changes to 1.

I know that it must just be changing some code but I don't know which files and the Module instructions don't go far enough with their information.

That cart box isn't the cart summary box - it's the standard cart sidebox. You'll have to turn that off in Admin - Tools - Layout Boxes Controller, then activate the cart summary sidebox. Then we can see if your file edits worked.

Now all that shows is Your Cart Contents:

So what file(s) do I have alter.

I was able to change the text to the Cart + text as shown on site.
Now when I add something to cart Nothing happens. The 0 item(s) remain at zero. we are getting there.

I don't know what you've done to edit the Cart Summary sidebox files, so I would suggest you replace all the mod files with the originals, see if it works then, and then we can start removing stuff.

All I've done is alter the cart_summary_sidebox.php box with the following

This particular file mentioned above was uploaded in the includes/languages/english/extra_definitions/

You've hard-coded the '0 items in cart' into the header, so that will always be there, even if the rest starts working.

If you look here, htttp ://www.stevesh.org/zentest, you'll see I have that sidebox working (if not well styled) so it shows just the number of items.

I recommend you re-install the mod, overwriting what's there, and don't modify any files. Once it's working, then I'll let you know how I removed the image and description and price.

Ok I did as you suggested. now all that is in the sidebox is Your Cart Contents Text.

And the add-to-cart still doesn't work, suggesting that you still have files from the mod which you have edited installed.

I removed All the files associated with the module. and re-started from scratch. The only thing I added was this morning where I put the actual shopping cart image back. Everything else is the files associated with the Cart Summary Sidebox Module.

The only file I haven't returned is 5) If you want this to display in your site header,
a) Add this to your custom tpl_header.php, wherever you desire the content to be displayed:

    <div id="navMainCartSummary"><?php require(DIR_WS_MODULES . 'sideboxes/cart_summary.php'); ?></div>

Should I remove this as well.
