Shipping prices for each product?

I have setup a shop (its underway at https://www.mumsbabymagazine.com/zencart)
This is the millionth shop (it feels like) that I have tried to do and I really want this solution to work for me after attempting oscommerce and many many wordpress solutions...

I have come against one problem... I use drop shipping and therefore all of my products have differing shipping prices. I need to be able to set the price of shipping for each product when entering the product into the system.

I followed some guidance zencart had published upon setting the unitprice and turning the weight off ... it didnt work.

Please can someone help?

I have looked for it and I cannot see how it adds pay per item ... I have looked at the demo and to me it seems to do multiple payments somehow.
All I want is a box to enter what the shipping price is when I enter each item into the catalog.

I do not understand how such a comprehensive system such as zencart doesnt support this.:flex:

I have already writen a similar thread somewhere else but I have come to realise that I simply cannot do this by myself and may need some help (would anyone be willing? please email me or msg me).

Basically I send products through a drop ship setup and therefore each item may have a differing shipping cost.
I DO NOT WISH to set shipping by weight, I simply wish to set the price according to the item. I really need someone to set this up for (shipping per item).

Can anyone help? Please please please?

You can't do that with a stock Zencart installation.

Thats great but HOW DO I DO THIS? I have looked at google ceon and it doesnt seem to do it.

Are you saying you want to set up the shipping so that:
Product A is $2.50
Product B is $1.75
Product C is $7.75

and if a customer orders:
Product A Qty 3 the shipping is 3 x 2.50
Product B Qty 1 the shipping is 1 x 1.75
Product C Qty 2 the shipping is 2 x 7.75

for total shipping of $24.75 ...

Yes thats right as each item comes from a different place...

So basically for each item its ITEM COST + SHIPPING COST (this may vary according to what item it is)

Not sure that was an answer. If item A costs $2.50 to ship, how much for 3 of item A to ship? $7.50?

Are your shipping costs the same for All of manufacturer A's products, etc?

Every item will have a different shipping cost... (Nearly)
I just want to enter it myself and then it adds onto price of item and makes the total.

Are you completely opposed to answering our questions or should we ask them another way?

Are all products from a different manufacturer or could one manufacturer provide you with several different items?

Can customers order more than one of product A? If so, is it the same shipping times three if they buy three?

I don't know how to ask differently.

Have you looked at the shipping module Per Unit perweightunit ... where you enter the shipping price as the Product Weight ...

Then in the Configuration ... Shipping/Packaging ... set the Maximum Weight to 5000 and the Tare Rates to 0:0 ...

I tried the shipping rate 0:0 thing and I cant get it to configure it how I need it to..could really do with someone doing it for me lol.

Before using Zencart I played with a few ecommerce solutions based in wordpress and they all had this 'shipping cost' entry box... It was simple but they didnt have very good SEO. I am hoping zencart is good with SEO .

Do you get ONLY one sandwich from McDonald's OR their ENTIRE menu?
Do all the items from McDonald's have the same shipping cost (flat, per amount, per weight doesn't matter if it's the same for every item from McDonald's)?
If you get three sandwiches from McDonald's, do you get a different shipping cost?

Go to the Modules ... Shipping ...

Do you have installed the Per Unit perweightunit shipping module?

What are the settings in the right panel if you click on it?

What is the color of the icon under Sort Order?

What are your settings if you go to the Configuration ... Shipping/Packaging ...

Go to a Product and enter a Product Weight that is the shipping cost for that Product ...

Add that Product to your shopping cart ...

What comes up for the shipping cost?

Change the quantity to 2 ...

What comes up for the shipping cost?

I think you should first take 3-5 minutes and try the steps that I posted and see if the Shipping Costs work the way you need it to when you try it ...

Ajeh I did all that last night and whilst I got rid of everything which says weight...it doesnt seem to add anything to the price (doesnt add the shipping) at the end.

https://www.mumsbabymagazine.com/zencart (you can see there is one product in bags as an example to use). The bag is £37, the shipping should be £5.50 but I cannot get that to work...Shall i PM you the login details?

Ajeh I got my husband who is an ICT tech to look at it and he cant do it either.
