customer pending approved placed an order

how is it possible that a customer who is appending approval place an order and check out. Worse still how can they add a product that is marked 'call for price' to their shopping cart which shows at €0.00. I have brought this up under hacks as I am worried how this can happen. To boot, when I click on order ID link, copied to the store admin, it directs to another customer order????????:shocking:

Was the product always call for price?

Was the customer always not approved?

Perhaps not, I may have had it priced at some stage but changed it to call for price. Yes I believe the customer was always in this case not approved.

I am in real bother at the mo now. A customer is after placing quite a large order, but the the total doesn't seem to be exactly right and the VAT has not been added at the end, it calculates the VAT but has not added it on. I have just tried a few tests myself and its fine but this customers order has been process without the VAT. Everything going wrong at one time. HELP using 1.3.9h

Was there a time that you did not use Customer Approval that the customer could have added the Product to their cart ... then later you started to use Customer Approval ... then later you made this Product Call for Price ... then later this customer returned to your site and logged in restoring their old cart with this product in it? :unsure:

no this customer only signed up on Sunday and not been approved and the order was made on Monday, and was not approved. Why do you think the link on the Order ID went to another order ID.

With regard the other issue. I have copied the order to excel, yes the sub total is correct and the discount and VAT all fine, except it has not added the VAT to the sub total see below:

Sub-Total: €534.95
Delivery Charge: (Nationwide): €0.00
Ardara Sweet Co. Discount Offer: -€13.95
Value Added Tax 23% 2012: €119.83
Total: €517.79

Please help on this one, I'll have to refund the customer soon in order to get this right. There is 50 items in their cart. I have done two since this and VAT is going on.

Do you import your Products or enter them individually in your Zen Cart Admin?

sorry about this, my partner said he accidently approved her yesterday and unapproved her straight away as it appeared that this was not a genuine customer. we get a lot of competitors trying to check prices etc. so may be this was the reason. However the product was marked call for price prior to sunday anyway.

EZ populate when uploading the bulk of the products but of late just put them on as I go, not as many new ones. use ez when there is a quantity of products really

Would an import of products change the products_id vs the products_id of the products in a saved cart?

I do not use EZ populate so I do not know the affects of an import and products_id and whether they change or stay the same etc.

I haven't use EZ for a few months, so no importing has gone on.

This VAT thing is weird, I have added over 50 products to my own cart and discounts included but the VAT is going on it okay, I am just wondering whether it has something to do with the zones?

HI Yeh it is the zone issue, I am using zone table and it seems counties in the second defined zone is not picking up the VAT, I have separate zones based on shipping rates, but just one overall VAT rate for the country so not sure why it does not go onto all zones

Sorry back to my original query. I have someone else who has just created an account and is awaiting approval but have placed an order while approval is appending? We have an option to of online bank transfer so it'll be interesting if they made the payment as shipping doesn't happen until payment is made. But why is this happening, hope you can she some light.

If the person logged on before under another name, does the admin remember the IP or something?? worried

Have you tried to create a new customer account to see if you can:

1 add to cart

2 checkout

thanks for getting back to me. Yes several times and it will not let be view prices or anything like that until authorisation is given so cannot understand why this and yesterday's customer got to do this. Could someone be hacking the website? or just a coincidental glitch?:wacko:

You would need to check your site against clean code and look for issues that could be a tell tale indicator of a hack ...

I can add to cart as a guest from your sideboxes as they are not setup to follow the rules of the Customer Authorization ...

Created an account and checkout without authorization ... :lamo:

You need to fix those buy now buttons to follow the rules ...

Hi, I could see you working away and couldn't believe it. Thank you soooo much, you know never even thought of that or even tested this until now. So relieved cause really thought I had been hacked someway.:clap:
I assume there is a bit of code that will fix this for the carousel sideboxes.
