Fast and Easy Checkout is not displaying

Has anyone successfully installed the Fast and Easy Checkout for Zen car version 1.3.9h.?? I need your help....

I just installed the files for Fast and Easy Checkout add-on on my host server, and installed the sql file via tools - install sql patches. I uploaded the file, but the instructions said to copy and paste the file. I don't think this should make a difference...
When I check my site, the shopping cart and checkout looks the same. The layout hasn't changed.

I installed the files to their respective folders
includes- english - mytemplate folder
includes-modules - mytemplate folder
includes - templates- mytemplate folder

Have I missed out something during the install??

It's a tricky mod to add if you already have mods installed, but achievable. Firstly let's check a few things off... Do you have the FEC settings page in admin config? Secondly have you installed CJ loader? You need it to make FEC work. Then you need to ensure that you have MERGED your files, not just over written them with the files from FEC.

I have access to the FEC admin configuration, and I selected the true otion to activate it.
I didn't install the ch loader though.
I overwrited the existing admin and includes folder.

How would you merge the files??.... I hope is easy to do.

Google 'winmerge' and install it to your PC, it's free or invest (a worthwhile investment) in 'beyond compare'.

Off top of my head I can't remember the link, but I'm sure it's mentioned in the FEC install package, if not just google it. FEC will not work without CJ loader.

Yes download CJ loader to your PC then upload the files to your cpanel hosting account. You misunderstood my meaning of 'google it', I meant search for CJ loader and winmerge. why? Because if you install a mod, let's call it 'mod A' by over writing files, then you wish to install another mod, 'mod B', if you over write the same files again then 'mod A' has gone. If you MERGE the files then you have 'mod A' AND ?mod B' without breaking anything.

I downloaded the cj loader to the host server, I placed the mins and plugin folders in the root zen cart folder.
I overwrited the includes with the includes folder that cam with the cj loader.
Now when I try to login to my zen cart admin - I get a blank page. What have I done wrong..... ??? crap!!!

Have I uploaded these folders to the correct directories??

Just restore the files that you have over written with the ORIGINAL files from your initial install...assuming you made a backup...you did make a backup before trying to install a mod didn't you?
Then merge the files that would be over written by the mod. Do you have a local working version of your site on your p.c? It's always best to add a mod to your offline p.c version before going love with a mod, that way you can install and check without any damage. Search WAMP in the free addons area.

Yes, that is where you went wrong.

Luckily for me I made back ups of my site.... I am in the process of restoring the files back to what they were prior to me installing the add-on.
This wamp add-on sounds good.
I still need your help mate with merging the files......
I will let you know when I have finished restoring my folders.

This Wamp server is for zen cart version 1.3.7. I am using version 1.3.9. Will this still work??

Yep, WAMP works with any type of website files, all it's doing is creating a 'hosting' on your computer, VERY handy. Just follow the instructions carefully.

The one that suits your computer, 64 or 32 BIT and the same version of PHP that your LIVE server uses.
