FedEx shipper and free shipping

I have tried everything I can think of using Free Shipping Options with Freeshipper turned off and I see no shipping options except free shipping for orders over $500.00 which is part of what I want. I also want to allow the customer in the 48 states to be able to expedite shipping if they like. I left Hi and AK out of the Zone I created for the lower 48 plus DC. I know I'm missing a button somewhere, but can't figure out which one.

Go to the Modules ... Order Totals ...

Click on Shipping ot_shipping ...

Do you have the Free Shipping set up for 500.00 enabled?

If you do not want that you need to set the Free Shipping to Disabled ...

I had it turned on at first with no success set at $500.00 so I tried it with it off. No joy! I think I'm doing everything as instructed but not having any success. I can get free shipping to all 50 states but no other options from FedEx. Or I can get standard FedEx with no free shipping, but not both together for the 48 free only.

There is a switch in FedEx for Free Shipping and FedEx together ... What is that set at?

Here is how it is set now:

If you want Free Shipping and FedEx to show at the same time when all Products are marked Always Free Shipping, then you need to:

1 Have all Products marked with Products Weight > 0

2 For Products that qualify for Free Shipping make sure they are marked Always Free Shipping and have the Product Weight > 0

3 Turn on FREE SHIPPING freeshipper and if only the US set up a Zone Definition with the DETAILS for who qualifies

Yes I do. http://shop.pumpsandtanks.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=75&products_id=290 I want free shipping to all orders that exceed $500.00 which can be any combination of products that add up to >= $500.00. I have the one product that is free shipping always (using free shipper) which is only $109.00 including shipping because it's drop shipped from the manufacturer for a flat shipping rate of $20.00 which is added into the price. If they were to buy that item along with $500.00 of other items or $500.00 including that item, I would still like the customer to have the option of using FecEx to expedite the order.

Are you wanting when the Product marked Always Free Shipping to show FREE SHIPPING freeshipper and FedEx for the 10lbs? The only reason I can think of is if they wanted expedited shipping, then FedEx would have to show. Although this is a hand pump and not something most folks would need in a big hurry, so FedEx probably isn't a big deal on that one item.

No, I made a couple of daring changes and they both show now. Maybe you have talked me through it. I'll play with it some more and see if I can get it to do something wrong. You need the weight for FedEx ... you need the Always Free Shipping for the FREE SHIPPER ...

NOTE: Always Free Shipping gives that warning just so you are aware you set it ...

What you need to test when you get it setup correctly is that when the Always Free shipping is in the cart with another regular Product that FedEx is using the weight from the Always Free Shipping product too so that the FedEx represents the weight of all Products.

Now if you still want 0 weight on that Always Free Shipping and FedEx is NOT suppose to include its weight, this is where you can use the 0 weight on the Always Free Shipping Product and it will always work the right way with or without other Products in the cart ...

For the Free Shipping on Orders over $500.00 you need to tell me:

1 yes or no you need it

2 if yes when over $500 is it both Domestic and International

3 when over $500 if only Free shipping should be the choice

I tried it by starting out with the one free item. Then added an item that would not be free shipping, then added an item to take the total up over $500.00. First item shows up free shipping, second item shows shipping for that item only, then the third item made it free shipping for all because of the >= $500.00. It's a little confusing doing it that way, but I think it will work the way I wanted now.

Now if you still want 0 weight on that Always Free Shipping and FedEx is NOT suppose to include its weight, this is where you can use the 0 weight on the Always Free Shipping Product and it will always work the right way with or without other Products in the cart ... Since the manufacturer drop ships this for me for a flat rate of $20.00, I would think the weight should be zero since, the shipping is included in the price the customer is paying. Does that sound right? In other in Categories, I should put those two items down as zero weight?

Turn on Modules ... Shipping ... Free Shipping Options freeoptions and set the Total >= 500.00 and set your Zone for the lower 48 plus DC on that ...

Now check those same tests for shipping that you did and does everything appear correctly?

I'll do that tomorrow when I get back to work. For all the time you spend doing this for everyone, you should be getting paid the big bucks. I do the same basic thing on my Forum and don't get paid other than what I can manage to sell. It's fun though and I wouldn't have it any other way. Looks like it's working as planned. The only thing I can see that isn't quite right is Freeshipper for the two items. If I try to send them out of the 48 + DC zone, it will not allow any shipping method. This is not a big deal however because I can never think of an instance where this has been requested. Otherwise I can mix and match and shipping works as planned.

Yes, I would think so. Since I wouldn't want to pay the free shipping out of country, they should have the option of paying it themselves.

Let's try this in steps ...

Edit the Product for Free Shipping that you marked Always Free Shipping and change 1 thing:

Product Weight: 10 (you can use whatever the real weight is)

Now add that Product for Free Shipping to the cart and test, US 48 and then Canada ...

What do you see for US?

Next, add to the cart with the Always Free Shipping Product a regular Product with weight where the price does not exceed $400.00 ...
