Find this recent submission in ZC Plugins or available for download on my site for Zen Cart version 1.54.

Description:
This module will display category images and product images in the category/product listing. If no image exists the default no_picture.gif will display.

• Adds small product image to admin product listing page
• Adds medium product image/filename to admin new/edit product page

New for v1.6a

• Instructions re-written

• Minor admin layout updates

• Line number updates

• Minor code corrections

• No Database changes are needed

• This will work with ZC v1.53 and v1.51 - the line numbers are off a bit.

I really love this mod. It's one of the most useful ones on here IMO if you sell a lot things that have similar names, and I have it running on all my shops. Upgrading an older shop to 1.5.5 I encountered a few new snags, but they are easily fixed. For anyone who is having trouble with the below issues, these suggestions might help:

If you find that images are not showing:
Check your admin config file (in YOUR_ADMIN/includes) and be sure you have your https admin server defined properly.

If your images are showing larger than expected dimensions:
Check your settings for Heading Image Width (and Heading Image Height) under Configuration/Images. I found 150-200 was an acceptable size.

This works, just needs some updating to the instructions to get the line numbers to match. I'll be including some new features also :) Should be ready early - mid November, stay tuned.

Update: Mid update Zen Cart 1.55e... 1.55f was released - so I rebuilt the module on the 1.55f platform. It remains backwards compatible to 1.54 although you will need to carefully merge the code in older versions.

Since I see a tree structure of files, and the instruction is mostly "In this file, at this line, add these text", but made no mention of the supplied files in correlation the instructions.

So my question is, on a vanilla ZC installation, with no admin category menu modification.
Are the included files a direct 1.55f replacement of core packages?
I have took a quick glance at some of the files compared to the instructions, looks like the codes listed in the instructions are already applied to the files supplied with the zip file.

Yes, the instructions are a near line by line guide to ensure you can fit this module into whatever Zen Cart you have, old or new, vanilla or heavily modified.

**Yes, **the fileset is a direct copy from a proper - working installation on a vanilla cart that ONLY runs this one module - so you could drop in/write over your own vanilla cart. But remember you can only do this once, then you no longer have a vanilla cart ;)

So far so good in 1.56c... Even snuck in the new - One click return to the TOP - primary categories listing button :thumbsup:

I've already updated the collect_info page with category image, product image, product insert image and attribute images. Product management like copy, move and delete are ready for 1.56c as well.

Just working on the rest of the attributes, specials etc now. Still on schedule for end of week release :flex:

This is great news! Thank you very much for your dedication, I´m reallly looking forward for this :-)

All delays aside, TAP Thumb for 1.56c has evolved to include some important production buttons for navigating products and attributes found within the product pages and now supports alternate product type admin collect_info display.

You can now see what attributes if any are attached to the product!

Coding has wrapped, testing department has a review pending in the morning then module release!

Wonderful - this looks really useful! I could finally abandon the old timer called Easy Attributes!

First off, thank you so much for this update! This is such a useful addon.

I had been having an issue using this in conjunction with Image Handler 5. Specifically on the admin side resulting in a fatal php error. For anyone else having this issue, I tracked the issue down to the language file. My solution, while probably somewhat crude, was to open the admin/includes/languages/english/extra_definitions/TAP_thumb.php and commented out the bottom two lines of code so that my file only looked like this:

define('TABLE_HEADING_TAPTHUMB_IMG', 'Image');

I also renamed the file to thumb.php, as for some reason earlier in my troubleshooting I had commented out the entire file and it had not resolved my issue. Anyway, things have been working fine as far as I can tell, will report back if I encounter any anomalies. Hope this is helpful to someone. I am going to cross post in the IH5 thread as well.
