Anybody else go to an Market vendors website hoping to get the item a little cheaper?

Am I the only one that goes to a Marketplace vendors website hoping to get the item cheaper there? (Come on they don't have to pay the 10-20% commission if I go directly through them). Well I know that marketplace customers come to my website (maybe not as much as I would like but).... maybe hoping for a discount or looking for more information. I don't know. BTW Those of us who have market place accounts have to have the same prices on the website as the marketplace and yes they do check. But, I would like to try to start capturing this market by offering a discount like say a small percentage off for doing something.... getting on newsletter, creating an account.... I don't know... maybe have it so that they automatically get the percentage off forever after joining the mailing list? Have you guys/gals thought on this and feel okay with sharing how you are trying to catch these customers coming to your website? I was thinking of a floating banner or something?

Maybe you have a mod to recommend for this?
