Analytics js tag

Hello:

I followed the instructions to add the google analytics property tag as a js.:cool:

All pages show it (as a call to a script, NOT as a script exposed on the page).

15 Days later Analytics says not found. And that if 48 hours have passed and it hasn't found it, check if it's installed correctly.:shocking:

In their help they say that must be inmediatly after the HEAD tag. ( And it isn't there, is in the middle of HEAD section ) But I guess that shouldn't matter much.

Has this happened to anyone? Anyone know what might be happening ? Thank you very much.

Ever get an answer to your question? I am having the same issue.

Generally, when they ask for > immediately after the <head> tag or > just before the </body> tagthey mean exactly that.

In 1.5.8a, right after the head would be around line 55 of includes/templates/YOUR_TEMPLATE/common/html_header.php.

Editing the includes/templates/YOUR_TEMPLATE/common/html_header.php file....

I copied and pasted the goggle analytics script just below the <head> tag.

2 minutes later, Analytics found the property on its own and triggered data collection.

Remember to remove the analytics js file from the /html/xxxxx/includes/templates/YOUR_TEMPLATE/jscript directory if you use this system.
