Add commercial plugins to the plugin section

I am just wondering on everyones thoughts on including commercial plugins into the plugin section. Many of the commercial plugins currently availible are from core contributers to zencart and I believe it would help the core contributers make some extra money and thus help further fund the need to progress zencart.

Currently there doesnt seem to be any official repository for finding commercial plugins apart from google searches?

I use many commercial plugins and believe that it makes zencart extremely better with just some of those availible. I dont think it needs to go as far as a full store front on the zencart website however just a link to the authors store page would be a good start.

However I believe this topic is quite a bit more complex as there would be some thoughts of who can get the ability to post paid plugins and then if this would take away the ability to post paid plugins in the future. Also I am not sure on the licensing issues as zen-cart is open-source.

Maybe the ability to post paid plugins could be dependant on core contributions.

I think it is a good thing to start a discussion on this!

Re: Add commercial plugins to the plugin section

The ones that come to mind straight away are

@lat9 - Attribute Image Swapper
@Carlwhat - Updated Square Webpay Module
@JSWeb UK Company - A few plugins here such as SagePay/Opayo
@lat9 - Favourites wishlist
@swyguy - many different promo plugins

I believe theres lots and lots out there that users just dont know about because they ahve to search through members signatures/profiles to find them!
