Centering Logo

Hi,

Can anyone put me out of my misery and tell me where to go to centre the bloomin logo. I must have looked over old posts and FAQ's for hours, I have cracked - any help would be great. I know it is somewhere simple!!!!:(

Oh and also how to put borders around the left side boxes??

In your stylesheet.css find this line:

#logo, .centerBoxContents, .specialsListBoxContents, .categoryListBoxContents, .centerBoxContentsAlsoPurch, .attribImg {float: left;}

and change it to:

#logo {text-align: center;}
.centerBoxContents, .specialsListBoxContents, .categoryListBoxContents, .centerBoxContentsAlsoPurch, .attribImg {float: left;}

My other issue is the colors on the left and right. Tried everything I could find on the forums. I'm trying to get it to look like my main site (sssoaps.com) Mainly balck & white. And also need to remove the pic link at the very bottom. I can start a new thread if needed. Thanks!

checked your site and to me your logo appears centered or am I missing something.

Well for me it's not showing as centered. Cleared my cache and all that. Hmmm. Well now to figure out the columns.

I show centered in Firefox and left in IE6. But you did not do what Clyde suggested in the earlier post. You have - > #logo, .centerBoxContents, .specialsListBoxContents, .categoryListBoxContents, .centerBoxContentsAlsoPurch, .attribImg {

float: center;
}

While he suggests - > #logo {text-align: center;}

.centerBoxContents, .specialsListBoxContents, .categoryListBoxContents, .centerBoxContentsAlsoPurch, .attribImg {float: left;}

Clyde knows more CSS than me but that looks like it would work.

float: center

Good reason not to do that!

What is the proper command if not 'float'?

If you include an image in a selector i.e.:

#logo {background-image: url(../images/image.jpg);
/You can specify the image position with/
background-position: center center;}

PS You can float: left or right but not center

If you do a google search for CSS Tutorial(s) you'll come up with literally thousands of results. The top three or four results are probably the best.

Ok changed it to what you posted here and I still do not see it as being centered. Still shows up left in IE for me,

I checked the CSS for your site and found this:

  text-align: center;

}

  background-repeat: repeat-x; /* change this to no-repeat;

I seriously must be the biggest idiot because I keep making the changes you suggest and I can't see any changes. I'd hate to scratch useing Zen just because I can't figure out 3 simple changes :cry:

Don't despair. I have several times made repeated changes only to discover I was editing the correct file but in the wrong folder. Or, that I was upload the correct file to the wrong folder on the website, or that was editing the wrong file, or .... You get the picture.

Good news. You logo appears centered in IE6 and FF on my computer. Yippee!

Thanks! I finally just started over and got it to work. Still some minor tweaking and then the fun of uploading products. Maybe by this time next eyar I'll have it all set :laugh:

I'm going to keep working on this but it is puzzling me. My banner is centered in IE and Avant but not Firefox (which I use most). https://www.memories-forever.net/shopping
