authorize.net help needed

Good afternoon,

I configured ZEN CART with my clients authroize.net account and I get the error below:
"Your credit card could not be authorized for this reason. Please correct any information and try again or contact us for further assistance."

I'm setup using AIM, hosted through camelot and I'm using a shared SSL. Right now the site is at https://www.dockslocks.net but once I get the bugs worked out, it will run through https://www.dockslocks.com. I'm at a loss, it looks as if it should work but nothing. I tested other modules and those worked fine.

Any help will be greatly apprecated,

Re: authorize.net help needed

Are you set up for "production" mode in both your Zen Cart admin for authorize.net as well as your account settings on the authorize.net website?

Re: authorize.net help needed

Currently, I'm setup in test mode in both my zen cart and the authorize.net account. But, I also tried it in production mode (both zen and authorize.net) and used the supplied # that would get declined and go tthe same error.

Re: authorize.net help needed

Just some more information:
I did have my cart hosted at 1and1 and was getting the same errors. After reading a few posts, I thought for sure that switching to a certified host would be the solution but I was wrong. Is there anything that I need to activate at auth.net or is the transaction key all I needed to generate.

Re: authorize.net help needed

I've tried regenerating the key many times without any luck. I don't think it's the hosting but stumped at what it is. BTW, I am using the duel pricing mod. I'm wondering if this might be contributing to the problem.

Thanks,

Re: authorize.net help needed

Looks like I'm in business. The problem was that I had to change the direct response within the merchant account to the following:
Deliminated: Yes
default field separator: comma
Field Encapsulation Character: left blank.

After I made those changes, my test transactions went through. Thanks for the help.

Re: authorize.net help needed

I'm getting the same exact thing

"Your credit card could not be authorized for this reason. Please correct any information and try again or contact us for further assistance."

I tried what you did about direct response and it didn't help.

Re: authorize.net help needed

I have had a similar problem. Nothing was wrong with Zen Cart or Authorize.net

It turned out that the client was using an ATM card with visa, there was a daily limit on how much the card could be charged.

Re: authorize.net help needed

Remember that this error,

Your credit card could not be authorized for this reason.

NO ERROR LISTED

Please correct any information and try again or contact us for further assistance."

may also be a cURL issue,
if curl is called by proxy then you will need to make a few changes,
there are a few hosts that I know that do this,

IF this is still an issue contact your host and see if they are using cURL by Proxy

Re: authorize.net help needed

Who is your host?

I'm guessing it must be GoDaddy?

It's WebstrikeSolutions. And they don't use cURl by Proxy. I asked. i htink theproblem might be on the Authorize.net side. I'll get to the bottom of this and post my resultys in case anyone else has this issue.

Re: authorize.net help needed

Set enable-database-storage to true in the Zen Cart auth.net-aim module.
Then do a transaction.
THen use phpMyADmin to look at the results in the authorizenet_aim table in your database.... perhaps you may find some clues...

I did what you said, although I didn't make a table to store the credit card number. I just didn't know what to name the table. Now I realize that I have no idea what I'm looking for. The transaction is listed, though.

I did get some auto receipts from authorize.net that may be of use. They all look the same, wtih the same info. unbder results is says AVS Not Applicable.

============== RESULTS ==============
Response : This transaction has been approved.
Authorization Code : 000000
Transaction ID : 0
Address Verification : AVS Not Applicable

I'm going to call Authorize.net today. Something tells me the problem is on their side. I could be wrong, but at least I'll have that base covered.

Re: authorize.net help needed

I called Authorize.net and they told me I need to find out how to get the respose reason code. It's a 3 or 4 digit number. Does anyone know where I can find it?

Re: authorize.net help needed

Now I'm looking in the database at the authorizenet table, where there is a field called respose_code that has a TYPE int(1) and a DEFAULT of 0. If this is the response reason code then shouldn't the TYPE be int(3)? I was told the respose reason code would be a 2 or three digit number. Also, there is nothing listed under response_text. In the received field there is -1. Under sent it has what looks like my ID and transaction key listed. There are numbers and letters listed under session_id.

As for the order table, nothing is listed there.

Does any of this make sense to anyone?

Re: authorize.net help needed

perhaps you can simply post the contents of the most recent transaction details from your authorizenet table?
