Can anyone please let me know if my site is loading?

has been working fine in the past but seems the images are no longer loading at a reasonable speed. If anyone can confirm before I read the HOW-TO: Image Preparation thread :wink2:

I am in USA and it loaded fine for me...

Loaded OK but slowly - go ahead and read that How To because you need to! :D Your images need serious optimisation.

Can someone give a few seconds help please?

I've read the image thread and understand what I need to do. However, I've just tried to download some of the pics I don't have backed up and the FTP is transferring at only 2kbs and then timing out.

I've then checked the below sites which are hosted on the same server, and the pics on these are also slow at loading here. May I ask if anyone has problems loading the images on:

The host keeps saying, it's nothing to do with them, but I can't understand how it can be me when all other sites I go on load perfectly well. btw, all sites have worked with no probs in the past - just this past few days.

If anyone can please let me know if there's any slow loading images, it would be muchly appreciated!

I checked and thay all loaded fine as far as I could see...no time outs anyway. What type of connection are you on?

I'm on a 1MB connection.

I reformatted/reinstalled everything today and it's still not loading any images on any of the sites. The FTP still times out also.

Could anyone shed any light on this i.e. why only the sites I have hosted on dataflame are not showing images wheras all other sites I go on work perfectly fine.

Yep... Dataflame. They keep saying there is nothing wrong with their servers and to clear my cache/cookies :frusty:

I don't think it's the size that's the problem, even though I admit that needs sorting. I can't get cheshiremultimedia.co.uk centralskatepark.co.uk to load fully and the images there and cheekymonkeybmx.co.uk are by no means massive. Do these load ok?

Loading the site and FTP are completely different issues????

I was thinking the loading issues with the other sites was maybe to do with their servers, seeing at the ftp transfers are much slower also and both problems have began occuring at the same time.

FTP uploading is throttled by the speed of your ISP for your upload i.e. DSL can be 768k down and 150k up, cable 1.5m down and 400k up.

Yep, I understand that.. it used to download to my computer much faster than it is now though.

My main concern is that I can't see my sites even though everyone else can. Am awaiting a response from my ISP but can't understand how it can only be the sites I've produced - can't be to do with the fact I have the same images on my computer or anything like that? strange I know.

Most broadband connection are on dynamic IP's - I had one the was being rejected for an unk reason.

Check what you current IP is
Try disconnecting/turning off your BB modem for a period and restarting.
Re-check you IP you should have a different IP now
Now try to connect to your site

It seems I have a static/fixed IP address.

At least I now know it's not the site host (as the sites are loading on other peoples computers)

or our computers - have reformatted them both and everything works fine apart from the sites mentioned.

I'm guessing it must be to do with the ISP so still waiting a response from them.

Your site loads fine for me, here in The Netherlands. All the images work okay as well.

You've not inadvertently told your browser not to display images have you?
