Email just stopped working - I'm blacklisted

I noticed a couple of days ago not all new customer emails were being mailed. Today nothing works not even the contact us page.
I have made no changes.
They are not showing up in the spam filters,just disappearing off the face of the earth

What are your email settings in the Admin?

As Kim said, please post your email settings from your Admin area.

If it "suddenly" stopped working, perhaps you can ask your host a different question ... namely ... what happened "a couple days ago" (whenever it stopped) that could possibly be related to any email troubles.
Were there any password changes?
Account changes?
Server changes?
Email software changes?
etc

I will email my host again with a list of questions. Sometimes its like talking to someone 10000 miles away sitting on a computer in the dark. Wait. that is what Im doing!

It has to do something with the host because it was working great. I did get some contact mail today but I am not sure if thats all of them. I did not get the ones I sent to myself. Nothing goes out of the admin. Can it have something to do with my personal Internet Povider heare at home?
A lot of my clients use the site to find me. I am going to have to remove the contact links so I dont miss one.

Try changing your email transport method to SMTP and see if that helps.

Your hosts response is a little misleading, since they are saying that their mail servers are running fine. Yes they are, but they are not accepting mail from your website.
It may be that in the normal course of updating packages on their server, something has kicked in a higher default security level, and it now won't accept PHP script generated emails.

Another test you might try will confirm whether or not your PHP setup on the server is configured to use the "PHP" email-transport-method:

1. Grab the /zc_install/techsupp.php file from the master Zen Cart fileset.
2. Edit the file and insert an email address where shown on the first 3 lines. (recommend NOT using a "free" email address).
3. Save the file and upload it to your webserver (don't need to use the zc_install folder ... just put it in the same folder as your index.php and ipn_main_handler.php, typically in public_html)
4. Now access the file using your browser http://my_site.com/techsupp.php
5. Follow the prompts to send an email message. It will go to the address you entered into the file before uploading.

Do you get the email?

It seems that my host will accept emails from my web page but my personal internet provider at home wont accept them any more.

I had all my admin notifications routed to my personal email at home. It worked great untill last week. Then only a few got thru and now none.

I changed the admin route back to my host email address and they make it.

So it seems that my Internet provider at home has decided not to let mail from my website by. The few test customers I have say they are not getting the coupons and emails from my web site. The conformation that it was sent goes to my host email address.

So now I am getting conformation of orders and new accounts but I think my customers are not getting their emails from me.

I went to the blacklist site I found somewhere in the ZCsupport and it says my host is listed by 1 of 172 lists called "spamcannibal"

What does this me? and what am I going to do? i have tried to contact my home internet company but they have not got back to me.

I have just found my IP address on a blacklist and it says

PLEASE Turn OFF Sender Address Verification and Challenge/Response!!

I will try to figure out what that means.

Ian, I'm a bit confused. As I understand it, you were using SMTP for mail but had switched to PHP?
I can understand that using SMTP could get your IP blacklisted for various good or bad reasons if you were sending directly to external mail servers, but I would expect that with PHP it would be going through your hosting service email servers.
Any reconfig would thus be on your hosting companies part?

Sender address verification means that the receiving mail server attempts to send a dummy message back to the sending email address, to check that it is a valid email address.
Challenge/response can mean several things, but normally means that if an email is received, and the sender is not on a 'whitelist' of permitted senders, a 'challenge' is sent back to the sender, usually a CAPTCHA or similar human only readable gotcha. If the sender responds correctly, the mail is forwarded to the recipient, otherwise it's binned.

I have always used php as the setting. The only thing I can think of is that my emails admin such as new customer,orders,things like that I set to go to my personal email at home not my webserver email([email protected]). But thats how I noticed things were not getting thru.

So my home computer has an IP that is blacklisted. Does this mean my network at work will work fine. First I need to figure out how it happened.

Wont my IP here at home change sometime soon and then Ill be fine.Again, first I need to figure out how it happened so I dont do it again.

I will beg them to take me off the list and prove to the word I am not the monster say say I am. Its weird, I feel like I am in trouble. lol

I unpluged my router and got a new IP address and its blacklisted too. Not sure how they did that.

I sent a removal request to the blacklist.

There were problems with your removal request.

This is clearly a dynamic or residential IP address.
It cannot be removed. This has NO impact on your ability to send email through your ISP.

If you switch the email to your Domain email instead of your ISP does it work?

i have switched it and Yes I am getting copies of emails to my domain email. Its my customers that are not getting them.
