I receive this message no mater what state the customer it trying to checkout with. I'm trying to setup only one state with sales tax and all other states tax free but It doesn't seem to let me check out of any state. Any suggestions?

Sounds like you added your Zone to your Payment Module ...

What Payment Module(s) do you have installed on your site?

For a week I have been trying to solve this "Sorry, we are not accepting payments from your region at this time" with no success. My store http://www.scrollsawartist.com refuses to accept payment. I added all zones, deleted all zones, set them over and over bit no joy.

Please could someone advise

My payment modules are only PayPal and PayPal express, and the shipping modules I have installed are just the default ones that came with ZC 1.37. Goods testing with are all 0 weight digital downloads, so shipping is 0 for all of them.

I have this problem when i add freeshipping items. Goes away when I add an item with a shipping value

Nevermind. I see I didn't have the FreeShipping module installed. Works now.

I had this problem too. I solved it by renaming my "admin" folder to "!admin" or similar (just to move it, not delete it) and then re-uploading the clean install of admin. I edited copied my modified configure file and added it to my new "admin" folder. I repeated this whole process with the catalog/includes folder (re-uploaded the clean install, fixed the configure.php file). Then I went to admin->modules->payment and uninstalled authorize.net AIM & reinstalled it. After I put in all my values, it worked perfectly. I'm sure it was an error on my end.

I read other threads and I think a solid answer that isn't directly mentioned that may have caused this is setting up a zone in your payment module.

When it asks for Payment Zone, leave it as none or it will be only available to that zone.

I really hope Ajeh or DrByte con confirm this or not! Going to ask one of my patient customers to try payment again! BRB!

Yes, as Ajeh posted earlier, adding an incorrect zone restriction to your payment module can result in the error message stated.

Just now, i have faced this trouble.. because i have selected misunderstandingly in the Payment Module .. i have given "Payment zone" with some zone

I think, my Billing address zone was not match with that zone.

i have changed the "Payment Zone" into None and now it working !!

Hi I have a similar problem with "Sorry, we are not accepting payments from your region at this time." showing up only when a Free Item is in the cart. When an item with a price is in the cart, all works fine.

PMT Module (AIM) has "none" for zone

Shipping - free shipping is on with no zone along with COD store pick up and a zipship mod where it pulls from your zip code.

If you choose store pick up ($0) allowed with any billing/ shipping address then I should not get the "sorry" message. ... yet I do. Any help is appreciated.

I've got a free item, with free shipping installed, product is free set in the item description, and zones set as none in the payment module. However I am still getting the 'Sorry, we are not accepting payments from your region at this time.' error.

Again, if there is a costed item in the basket then the error is removed.

The thing is I still want people to go through the credit card entering process with this free item.

Go to the Modules ... Payments ... and turn on the Zen Cart Free Charger freecharger ...

Does the checkout work now?

When there is a $0.00 charge, there is nothing to send for a credit card process ... why would you even want to do that? :unsure:

Yep , checkout does work with the Zen Cart Free Charger turned on. I was seeing if there was a way to set up a dummy item at no cost/no shipping so that updated CC numbers could be submitted to us securely...

If I were getting something for not charge and no shipping for a $0.00 order and had to give you my credit card information ... I'd go elsewhere ...

ok, I have the PalPal IPN and Express Checkout installed (the express just now activated)

until now I have not been aware of the error message but one of my customers pointed it out in the comments sections...thank goodness and I appreciate it very much cause he is right, it would be a determent to come back.

Now after reading all the replies here am I to understand...that if you have free items for zero price that we must also activate the freecharger???

To check out with $0.00 charge for products in the cart and $0.00 shipping for a total of $0.00 ... you need to install the Zen Cart Free Charge Card freecharger in order to checkout ...

NOTE: you can call that the:
Billy Bob's Free Charge Card
Get out of Jail Free Card

or anything else that you want in the language files ...

NOTE: why in the world would you have both PayPal IPN (standard) and PayPal Express installed at the same time? :huh:
