Advice on "recent orders" not showing

Hello, i just moved the store from a domain to anoher, i successfully imported the database from one domain to another one.

I've succesfully uploaded all the files into the new server, and while i was testing the store with the new configuration, i decided to check it with a test orded (just using the credit card module)

I managed to create some orders to which i received the order id with an address to check them.

However, when i log into the admin area, those new orders are not shown in the recent orders box, however, if i search for them using the id i can see them, also, if i check the reports, i can see the total of the orders in that day, and it sums well.

I've checked modules OT_total (i think that's the name) and it's installed, so i tried uninstalled it and reinstalling it (also re-uploading it)

I've set the chmod correctly, in the databse also, re configured the: "name"_KEY value of configurations with the directory of the cache.

Right now i'm clueless as to what to do, and any advice would come in really handy!

Thank you.

Re: Advice on "recent orders" not showing

First, check that the two configure.php files have the same URLs, databases etc.

/includes/configure.php
/admin/includes/configure.php

Check the orders_total table in your database does contain an orders_id for the ot_total in the class field ...

Check that the orders_total_id field in the orders_total table of your database is set to auto_increment in the Extra column ...

OH GOD, the last id here is the one prior to the database change, so the error, must be here, the new orders are not here, but :

orders_total_id ---	auto_increment

it is set to auto increment, can this be a php file problem then?

However we are much closer to the source of the problem than before!

Re: Advice on "recent orders" not showing

It would be strange since i've checked both configure files and they are pointing to the newest one.

Re: Advice on "recent orders" not showing

can this error be due to mysql 5 running in the new server because i'm also getting now a 'p.products_id' in 'on clause' error!

I'm going to try to patch it with the user patch and see if it works.

Mochino:

when i log into the admin area, those new orders are not shown in the recent orders box, however, if i search for them using the id i can see themWhen you "find" them that way, what's listed as the order-status setting? And if you "edit" the order, what order status is listed with the comments section?

Also, under Admin->modules->order total, what are your settings ?

And, under Admin->Localization->Order Status, what do you have listed ?

Re: Advice on "recent orders" not showing

thank you so much for your support, i decided to give an update a try since the version incompatibilietes with mysql 5 in the new server.

Seems like everything is working well now,

But my template is no longer working, it doesn't show all side boxes etc in the page, is this common or am i doing something wrong?

Right now i'm trying to re-do all the template based on the default one, just to be sure.

When you install a template (or change it), all your boxes are reset causing them to be turned off. You have to go to the "Layout Boxes Controller" and rearrange them again. Maybe that's your problem?

So this is caused because of PHP5?

A customer is having same issue, and he's on a PHP5.2 server... Any recommendations?

My problem was that the old server was running a 1.2. version, so the whole template crashed when trying to load in the new version.

The error was caused due to migration of database from mysql 4 to mysql 5, my advice would be to upgrade to the latest version of zencart, as always backing up your database prior to anything.

Just to be sure, are talking about recent orders not showing up, or a template crash?

Re: Advice on "recent orders" not showing

I am talking about orders not showing up. The template mention was to help the fellow member...

From what i've researched, the Orders Total module is the one that manages which recent orders are showing up, so:

first thing i tried was to check if it was enabled, after that, i made a test order (you can try setting up the Credit card payment module so it won't be tried to charged and you will be allowed to test them)

After that, i tried uninstalling and reinstalling it (re uploading the module to check corruption of the file, that way i was sure it was not a problem with the file

Then, check via phpMyadmin or Mysql Query Browser, the contents of the database table (i can't remember which one it was, but it was something like: orders, total)

If that doesn't help, try checking if there was a file structure change in the server, maybe the host server somehow changed their structure so the path to the customer's package changed before the /web folder

I don't know if there's a way in which you guys would be able to see the log file of the application (mysql or zencart's one, in case it exists), maybe it can help you to find an error.

I guess what i would do after that is to create a mirror database, and reinstalling the software in another path, and then adding every plugin or template the actual software has setp by step and checking it it's broking something, please, if you find the problem, tell me what was wrong, it would be interesting to know.

Re: Advice on "recent orders" not showing

Apparently SOMEONE changed those setting defaults of total order...etc. I changed them back and made a test... It appeared. Let's see what happen on next order.

Is there a way to make the other order that weren't appearing to appear? (is there a magic trick?). (I can go to the database and change stuff if it's necessary).

Thanks!

From what i could guess you would had to: Either re-process them as already payed somehow, or manually add what those values would look like in the table registry of orders.

I wish i could help you more but i've been working with zencart for just about a week.

Glad i could help.

Sometimes when converting between MySQL versions the export/import may lose the auto_increment settings on the tables. This is common between MySQL 3 and MySQL 4 ... haven't seen it when going from 4 to 5, but I suppose it's possible.
Ajeh suggested checking auto-increment issues earlier.
