How do I make my domain name go directly to my store? That way If some one types in my domain name it will automatically take them to to my store url ?

If Zen Cart is installed in the root directory, the url should already point to it. (see both sites in my sig)

it's in my public_html. It just goes to my index :(

If it's in public_html, the url should be going to it directly. If you have an index.html in your public_html, either delete it or rename it because it will load instead of index.php (your ZC store).

Why did you do that? It's not what I said. I said if you have INDEX.HTML in your public_html, you have to delete or rename it.
If you have Zen Cart unzipped on your local drive, upload index.php to your website again.
Can you post the url for your site?

i didn't delete the one in my zen cart, just the one I had for my site before i got zen cart

You have Zen Cart installed in /store, not in the public_html directly. You can move everything from /store to public_html and edit admin/includes/configure.php and includes/configure.php to point to the root instead of /store

You have Zen Cart installed in its own folder which is why the url isn't pointing directly to it. You'll have to move all the folders and files under /store to the root (public_html) and change the two configure.php files I mentioned earlier to point to the root instead of /store. I had to do the same for the Fan Odyssey site in my sig when I moved it from its own folder to the root to replace the old site.

That's what I did for my store. I'm still debating on whether or not that was the best way to handle it. My ZenCart is in "/store", so I have this code in my index.html on the server root:

You might Google for meta refresh and see what the experts say about that .

Because it's silly to have a redirect when you can just have your site readily accessible from your url. As Kim hinted, spiders and bots (which index your site to make it available to searching with Google, Yahoo...) don't like redirections.
Just put the site in the root and change the two config files. It's cleaner, simpler and just plain makes more sense.

yeah.... I also want to change it in my zen cart admin site in the sessions area before changing it to public_html or else nothing will work....heh. think I'll leave that for morning maybe

Aaah, I must admit that I didn't think about that because for the clients I mostly do Zen work for, there is always something else...a blog, a gallery, a forum, etc... and they're all in other directories so I usually just do either a splash page or just a simple redirect.
