How do you change add to cart?

You're talking about the Product Info page. Try Admin - Configuration - Product Info - Product Quantity Box Status - set to '0' Not sure if that will rewmove the box or not.

I would like to do the same as the OP. I don't want the quantity field for any of my products. Whenever the add-to-cart button is clicked, I would like it to always add one of the product to the cart.

This seems like the solution, except changing it to 0 doesn't appear to make any difference to anything. Possible bug?

I noticed the OP's site still has the quantity field on the product info pages. So I'm now wondering if this is possible?

I am looking to do this very thing on https://www.jaylyns.com however, I can get it to change on the product info page by selecting it on when new product is added. However, I have two issues with this. One is that I would have to edit all products already entered. And more importantly it disables it in the shopping cart as well. I would like to be able to have it disabled on the product info page where if they click add to cart it adds one and they can't choose qty, yet in the shopping cart be able to choose to adjust the qty. Is this possible? Thanks for any help.

just faced same problem
you can enable or disable this quantity box option on each product level

so here is the solution (tested works)

Admin-->Catalog-->Catagories/Products-->Select the catagory you want to edit-->then select the product you want to edit-->Products Quantity Box Shows -->turn it to on

it will give you warning ignore it and click update

now you wont see quantity box on the spacified product page.

This does not fix it. It give the same result as leaving the qty box status set to on from the start by setting it that way under admin>product info>Product Quantity Box Status - Adding New Products.

Silly question - Why do you not want them to be able to add more than one to the cart to start with?

To simplify what it looks like on the product page. I want them to only to be able to add one to the cart. But then in the cart itself be able to adjust the quantity. Lets say they purchase a set of party plates that come 8 per pack and they need 16 plates. They could add one to cart and then change the qty from 1 to 2 there. I just want to simplify what it looks like on the product info page and have only the button to add to cart, not the qty.

I have a similiar. question. I was able to get rid of the quantity box, however not the line that borders around the add to cart button:

how do increase the padding between the previous button and product image, so they aren't touching, as in the pic.

I'm a newb myself...

i added all my products via Easy populate and there is a fileld for setting quantity box to "0" which means turn off box. I think you can also got to your admin:
Configuration->Product Info->Product Quantity Box Status - Adding New Products

or

Configuration->product listing->Display Product Add to Cart Button

Hmm...I just tried those again -- one turns off the Qty box in the product listing but i cannot turn off the box on the main product info page.

Anyone know how to do this?
