Default No CSS nor ADMIN when using localhost

    Hi folks,

Had a problem that has been hampering development and after scanning the forum for any threads that may help I still have the same problem.

I am developing my zencart on a local development enviornment (windows IIS 5.1, php 5). When I'm actually sat at that server (using LOCALHOST) I can access the zencart and Admin absolutely fine and indeed that is where I do most of my customising. However, I sometimes work from a laptop on the LAN. When trying to access the zencart from there, I get just the raw HTML with no CSS whatsoever. Even worse, when I try to access ADMIN, I get page not found.

I have tried the usuall .htaaccess and file / folder permissions tricks but neither have any effect. I also have another Zencart I am developing in exactly the same setup and that works fine from any machine on the LAN and is accessed in exactly the same method.

The urls that I use on any PC on the LAN via are:

SERVERNAME/as/catalog - to test my changes
SERVERNAME/as/catalog/admin - to configure the setup

When sat at the webserver I use the above but replace SERVERNAME of course with LOCALHOST.

My wwwroot folders are all accessible as I have other PHP webpages there that render no problem at all.

    Any help appreciated.
    Neil.

It would then seem that the problem is in the url you are trying to access your zen cart.

The url is the same as anyother website on your server.

Thanks, but my URLS are correct.
I still have no joy in getting this fixed. I have been through every folder permission / htaccess file that I can find - still nothing. I wonder if there is an IIS setting I need to look out for and change ?

    Thanks
    Neil.
