HTML Menu Missing when Creating EZ Pages (??)

When creating new EZ Pages I have little html knowledge so am making the pages in dreamweaver and copying them across into the html text section of the appropriate EZ-Page. When looking at a youtube video I noticed the user has an html menu bar above the text area where they can choose centre, bold, add image etc - I have none of that. Am I missing a setting somewhere? This would make creating new pages so much easier and mean I can move away from dreamweaver.

download from the plugins for admin any one of the html editors like CKEditor or TinyMCE.. or both. once installed, activate by going to admin, Configuration>My Store>HTML Editor and selecting the editor from the drop down menu..

I am not good at plugins or coding etc and have a very customised website. Are these plugins easy to install or do they involve core overwrites etc (which I avoid where possible as deleted my website once when trying to install a template!! - thank heavens for backups!!)

The CKEditor plugin is just a bunch of files that you upload. It doesn't destroy any core files.

They have indeed become easy to install. I can't speak for tinyMCE entirely as I haven't installed it since ZC 1.5.1 or so, but CKEditor basically has become a load of files to the server without any overwrites. I would think though that TinyMCE in preparation for more recent versions would have been made/provided the same way.

I installed CKEditor and it's working like a dream.
My first successful plugin install so am so pleased.
