    Default Form session timeout

    I'm using 1.5.1..

This is not being used for a shopping cart or online store. We use it as a catalog system for customers and our salesman.

I recently made a form that salesman need to fill out. It's a weekly call log..

Unfortunately, the 24 min limit is causing a session timeout.. I changed the php.ini gc.session_maxlifetime = 2880 or 48 minutes..

I also changed the sessions.php file to be the same...

Is there something else I should be checking?

    Thanks!

if just on the customer side, no. if on the admin side, you need to go to:

admin -> config -> my store

and change some of the values there. you also need to modify:

    include/functions/sessions.php

    best.

You could try using the "AutomaticLogin" (a.k.a. Remember Me) plugin, although the most recent version has not been validated on Zen Cart versions prior to 1.5.5.

The keyword was "customer". If the customer has an account, then AutomaticLogin will keep their session active.

Ok.. I'm trying to avoid having my salesman log in to do a call log, but if that is necessary, then I will have to do it that way!

I realize non logged in customer.. I meant just a site visitor.. I should have thought the wording out better.

I saw some old posts on keeping a shopping cart with it's items for 24 hrs for someone who is not a logged in customer.. but it's for 1.39.. which is a long way from where we are now.

Thanks and I'll pursue this automatic.login and see what it's capturing and how it's holding a session open.
