Use product listing row layout for certain sub categories only

Most of my product listing pages display the products in columns, but I would like the products to display in rows instead in a few specific categories. Is there a way to do this?

Hope you don't mind a question.... i do not even know how to get products listed in rows vs. in a vertical column. My products get a row each with description... I just want an array of product images, with no descriptions either.

Please tell me how would I get row listing (for all categories).

No problem, you need to install the Column Grid Layout mod from the downloads section.

Well I have it sort of working. All I wanted was for the subcategory to display a list of products like this:

Product 1
Product 2
Product 3

With no images, prices, etc., just text links to the product. It is doing that now, however, they are spaced really far apart and unevenly, like this:

Product 1

Product 2



Product 3

Product 4

I have tried and tried, but I can't figure out how to get them to line up nicely without also affecting the other product listings using a column grid display.

Any ideas?
