ColorBox for Zen Cart

This contribution adds ColorBox (http://colorpowered.com/colorbox/) support to Zen Cart. ColorBox is excellent replacement for good old LightBox. ColorBox is a light-weight, customizable lightbox plugin for jQuery. All large product images will be displayed within a ColorBox. Additional product images are displayed within a simple gallery interface. This eliminates the need for popup windows and makes your website much more user friendly. Support multilanguages. Support ImageHandler. |

V2.1.1, What changed: - Updated installer/updater to exclude operation if the logoff was selected. - Relocated code that was disabling a properly formatted/named Image Handler 4 image to allow IH4 and zen colorbox to continue to operate together. - Completed the incorporation of the code template code to minimize code rewriting/retyping. This also removed a javascript error that was generated on the checkout_payment page. - Incorporate ZC 1.5.5 code into the includes/modules/YOUR_TEMPLATE/additional_images.php file including notifiers and the comments at the top of the file. - Removed the obsolete language="javascript" parameters from the HTML <script> tags. |

V2.1, What changed: - Added an additional installer feature to support improved installation/version control and offers version notification/updating without remembering a specific line in a file which helps with auto-notification of available updates. - Added action for the installer to run only from the admin and if installed on the catalog side to log an error and then disappear as well to run only when not logging in so that notifications will be seen. - Split javascript related files to support incorporation into other plugins. - Moved some of the script related tags to an outside "helper" file in order to support use/reuse of the color box base code in other plugins such as Attribute Image Swap. - Removed unbalanced unused html code to allow for validation of the web page. - Simplified the calling process of the code to display the color box by referencing/calling the code instead of requiring full replacement for each minor change. - Flushed out some of the additional popup notes that were being worked on by DivaVocals and Daniel Hopkins. - Updated the jQuery version to 1.12.4 - Updated the Colorbox version to 1.6.4 - Modified instructions to show SQL queries that are more representative of the current expectation to only assign values in the query to those necessary to support the queries result and not include additional fields such as auto-incrementers, fields that have default values unrelated to the plugin, and to not expect that the number of fields in the table are fixed to just the fields provided in the original installation. What this means overall is that operation of Zen Colorbox has been improved by the changes made to the underlying colorbox code, that out-of-the-box html validation should not be disturbed, that the program is now more flexible for use/incorporation into other plugins without having to rewrite or even really copy code from this plugin, and knowledge of the version is a little more streamlined for other developers. |
