Ok, having a bit of an issue here.
One page checkout. When using a coupon code and after applying the coupon code and go to continue the checkout process.
Click on confirm, page resets removing payment information.
Using Beanstream payment module.
Page resets to internal page: index.php?main_page=checkout&fecaction=null
Could this be incompatibility with the Beanstream module?

I've installed FEC 1.8.1 running on Zencart v1.3.8a
I've encountered a few problems:

Problem: When the checkbox for "Same Address for Shipping/Billing" is checked the shipping address fields do not dissapear as they do with my current old version/install.
Any input is greatly appreciated!
I just installed this on my 1.3.9D and the shipping check box field works fine. I wonder if it is a problem with your cs js loader.

I am also getting a ton of emails saying that the shipping rates are not showing up, but I don't believe that is FEC..

You'll have to add the add on to add that feature. It will set no account under anyone name in the main admin page that bought using COWOA.
on another note...
Numinix stated they will be updating their mods to be 1.3.9 compatible sometime after June 14th.

I looked thru this thread trying to see if anyone else had this problem...please redirect if you know where it is.
With FEC, at checkout, customer hits confirm button, then takes them to another page labeled confirmation. But does not stay on this page but for a second or two and then automatic direct to Paypal. I am using PayPal Express.
How do I get rid of this last confirmation page and have go directly to Paypal? or make page stay longer and customer has to hit confirm button at end of page?

Correct you can added it, because FEC uses COWOA mod codes in it's module to make it compatible with COWOA.
Okay those buttons kind of workin IE.
When click the change/Edit address buttons does not work in firefox or IE
Coupon/discount update buttons work in IE but not firefox.
Problem lies in part of browser compatibility and the jquery files
I am looking into the file jquery_checkout.php and jquery_fec_change_new_address.js found in the includes/template/your_template/jscript/jquery/ directory
Seems this is the source of the problem.

This is more than likely a dumb mistake on my part, however I cannot get this modification to work. I have installed the CSS/Javascript loader, and it seems to be working fine (pretty cool performance boost, I must say). I then followed the instructions in the "documentation.html" file, to the very best of my understanding, at least. I am using version 1.3.8a and I have several mods installed, including the Ultimate SEO URLs mod. The issue that I'm running across is that the Fast and Easy Checkout interface in the admin is there, and runs just fine, but when I make any changes whatsoever...like just turning Fast and Easy Checkout ON, for example, nothing happens to the checkout process at all. It's as if there was no mod installed at all. I'm at a loss. Any ideas?

I have this installed an a 1.3.9d store, and it's working great, except customers who choose to COWOA are not receiving an order confirmation e-mail. Any ideas why this might be happening?

So I have successfully installed COWOA and Authorize.net for the payment gateway, but when testing an order from my website, http://www.tregreekboutique.com/zencart, and choosing the COWOA option, there are two payment methods for entering credit card info.
To test, products are listed in either Fraternities or Sororities categories under the subcategory Apparel.
One option has a field for the CCV code and the other does not. The issue is when entering payment info with the CCV code, an error is received that the Authorize.net account is not active.
When using the option without the CCV code the order is processed successfully.
Trying to figure out why there are 2 payment options and why it cannot be processed with the CCV code.
Anyone else run into this issue? If so, how was it resolved?

Yes, I did. Such a strange thing, the installation of the mod appears to be working properly in the administrative area, however doesn't appear to be working in the store area. The only guess that I have is that Ultimate SEO URLs is somehow screwing it up. And the only reason that I guess that is that I HAVE seen documentation stating that Ultimate SEO and this mod have some compatibility issues.
There shouldn't be any issues now that Ultimate SEO URLs has the ability to set the module to only work for certain pages. If you leave this field blank it will work for all pages which will cause issues with FEC. But, the module would still be loading...Quote:

We are all having the same problem not just those buttons but the change address buttons for both billing and shipping has the same problems. It has browser compatibility problems. Works in IE but not in firefox. I just found out experimenting today, that I can get it to work in firefox if you disable javascript in firefox option settings, the button work, when I re-enable it and it stop working again.
In my website,the Coupon/discount update buttons don't work in both ie and firefox.
But the change address buttons for both billing and shipping have no problem.

Hello all,
I'm trying to figure out how to properly use the Gift Card/Certificate functionality as far as allowing customers to purchase and then utilize.
I followed these Zen Cart instructions to setup a Gift Card product: https://www.zen-cart.com/tutorials/index.php?article=64
I had no problems going through checkout and purchasing the card. The order in the back end shows it correctly, etc.
The issue is that when I release the gift funds to the customer (either by queuing via the back end or auto-releasing it), it doesn't send any code to the customer. It sends an email telling the customer their funds have been released to them, but just links them to the store home. I assume that in most cases, a customer would log in and access some sort of screen where they can email their gift card funds to friends or themselves which would create a gift certificate code; however, because I'm using the no account aspect of FEC, this is an issue.
Has anyone encountered this issue and is there a work around?

I found this has been my issue for some time after uninstalling and re-stalling my template that FEC was driving this issue. No longer have it (FEC is uninstalled), but has anyone had the issue that "Redeem Gift Certificate" is on the homepage title at the top bar, on various other pages, etc. Pretty much most of the pages had Redeem Gift Certificate on them. Any ideas? Love to install this again if I could!
Numinix is planning on releasing a new version tommorrow. Once release try it and see if it fixes your problem.

Yes it does work. There are a couple of little bugs with the change address and gift certificate and promo code buttons. But yes it works.

I use Zen Cart 1.3.9d with FEC 1.8.1.
I recently found the address issue with PayPal.
It seems FEC module passes the shipping address (especially international addresses) in invalid format to PayPal.
This is the error message I get from PayPal.
Unable to process payment. Please contact the merchant as the shipping address provided by the merchant is invalid, and the merchant has requested that your order must be shipped to that address.

I added the COWOA mod a while ago and it works great! I just added the order status add on, but wasn't sure where the add-on appears. Should a link appear once a customer logs into their account? I haven't seen any changes and wanted to be sure I haven't missed anything. Using version 1.3.8.

I did it and it helped a little. Now customer is forwarded to a blank page. I didn't have time to read all posts but I will do it this weekend and I will try to figure out what is wrong. If you have any idea, could you share it, please?

It looks like this file was changed for zencart 1.3.9d that the fec module does not reflect. Does this file need to be updated for this module or do I just use the jscript_form_check.php that comes with the module?

I have a problem, though: it seems that ever since I have loaded FEC, the automated checkout email that is send to the vendor has changed. Now it has omitted the item number. Does this sound like FEC had any hand in changing the way this is constructed?
If not, any ideas where to look to fix this problem?

I actually had to remove [disabling in admin didn't stop the problems] all the FEC code because it messed up my entire ordering/checkout process with v1.3.9d. :[
PayPal Pro stopped talking to ZenCart. I'd receive no info whatsoever in regards to payment.
Product attributes stopped showing in order screen, even though the customers selected the color, size, etc... when they ordered.
Only the first product in an order [minus attributes] would show in order screen.
When I disabled FEC in admin, it would just show a blank checkout_success page. The CSS for FEC was still being used, ergo the fully removing all code.
I don't know if anyone else was having similar issues, but thought I'd put it out there in case it helps. Does anyone know if FEC is going to be updated soonish? :]
How I am so grateful to people who produce software and share it.
Not only has zencart saved me lots financially with its easy to use platform but implementing the simple numinix gateway was just as easy.

Does anyone have any ideas for changing the order in which the order total is calculated? I want the shipping to be calculated LAST after discount coupons and group pricing. I currently have a 30% volume buyer discount to any purchases above $500, but the shipping is calculated BEFORE that discount, which is not what I need. I've been poking around the ot_group_pricing, tpl_checkout_stacked.php, and order_total.php, but I can't for the life of me figure out how to achieve this.
I tried changing the sort order of the order total modules in the admin panel to no avail. I believe that is merely the order in which they are displayed.
Hello all! This has been a problem for some time and I am tired of people calling asking what it wrong! I have been trying to figure it out for about 6 hours and gone through almost every page on this thread (took awhile) :lamo:
In the checkout process when it gets to shipping method there is nothing selected. If you try to select the shipping method it just loops the page and once again nothing is selected. Right now I just have free shipping installed but if I add other shipping modules it does the same thing and no shipping method ever gets selected. Becuase I only have one shipping method I have been able to get away with it but its driving me crazy. If i disable FEC the shipping methods will work. Any ideas are greatly appreciated.

I have fast and easy checkout working the only problem is at the checkout page, click on the change shipping address or change billing address... when the grey box opens up the loading screen just keeps circulating and never does anything, any ideas?
Fixed about problem, it was with my seo mapping. BIG problem. 3 customers cannot checkout when they use the safari browser, the click "confirm order" and it goes to a blank screen. And I am not recieving the order. Please advise.
Hello I have just launched my new site, 5 orders were lost. I followed up with the customers (using recover cart) and they reported they are using apple computers. When they hit confirm order the screen goes blank. On my end I am not seeing any orders and their credit cards are not being charged. So there is an compatibility error with FEC and safari anyone know of a fix?

I looked through all the previous posts (at least to the best of my knowledge) and I couldn't find any solution for the coupon update problem, so I thought I'd offer up my (possibly retarded, but apparently functional) fix. Just a heads up, my products are virtual, and people aren't updating shipping or billing info, so that may make a difference as to why this worked for me, and might screw things up for you.
First, the issue:
If a customer typed in the coupon code and clicked the redeem/update button, the order total would update and the coupon code would show just like it was supposed to. But then, if they confirmed the order, they would just get bounced back to the checkout page with no coupon code as if they'd never entered it to begin with. This problem wasn't unique to 1.8.1, it had actually been happening in previous installs which is why I upgraded to 1.8.1 instead of waiting until I upgraded my Zencart install to 1.3.9 to upgrade.
My crappy solution:
I noticed that after you put in the coupon code, the url changed from having an fecaction of null to an fecaction of update. This led me to the header_php.php file for the checkout page where I saw that the update case was giving my confirm button an action that just redirected to the checkout page - probably because of my lack of shipping details.
Sooo, in includes/modules/pages/checkout/header_php.php I changed the code around line 442 from:
to include a redirect to the checkout page with a null action:Code:}

I have installed the fec module to my zencart and I am wanting to use the gift message option.
I have it set to true and on the checkout page there is the box for customers to type their message in, but then it doesnt come through to the confirmation page or the invoice, or even the packing slip. The packing slip has a section that says GIFT MESSAGE: but the actual message left doesnt show up here.
so i have no way of actually seeing what the customer has typed here.
has anyone else had the same problem or can anyone suggest a fix please?

just wanted to note that my problem above ended up being an issue with the language file for the payment module and not related to the fast & easy checkout mod. must have done this during an upgrade or with another mod by accident. oops! anyway it's fixed now :)
I am having trouble installing the "CSS JS Loader" that is required for the latest version of Fast and Easy Checkout (FEC) to work.
The process hangs right in the 1st Step, when I try install the "SQL Patch" using this file "cj_loader_install.sql"
The broswer run for a few seconds after clicking the "Send" button and then just hangs .... !
I have tried different browsers but same result.
I am running
- ZenCart Version 1.3.9e
- Windows 2008 Server (IIS 7)
- PHP Version 5.2.13
- MySQL 5.0.51a
Can someone plz suggest any solution ?

Alright, I managed to install the CSS JS loader scripts and then installed the latest version of Fast and easy check out (FEC) on the latest version of Zencart (1.3.9e)
After installing, my Home Page is all messed up, looks like its not loading the CSS file.
I am using the default Zen Cart theme.
I followed all the instructions by "Numinix". I do not have any other Add-On installed.
This is the 1st add-on I installed.
Can any body plz advise, what's wrong ?
What the link to download the version of this mod which works with 1.3.8 vesion of zen cart?
Hey there, I'm trying to install version 1.8.3 of fec on a 1.3.7 zencart and I'm getting the following error:
Fatal error: Call to undefined function zen_get_multiple_tax_rates() in C:\xampp\htdocs\bmlc\includes\classes\order.php on line 450
I followed the instructions for 1.3.7, making the changes in the admin/includes/functions/general.php and admin/includes/languages/english/orders.php files and then followed the instructions for installing as directed by the readme.
step 1 - the JS Loader seemed to install ok, and step 2, upload all the files, fair enough, but step 3: then rename includes/templates/your_template to your template name seems odd. I already have a folder named for my template. Also all the files from the fec download have 'classic' as the folder name, was I meant to rename them or something?
I'm confused.
I searched the thread but only found a couple of posts asking something similar but the responses didn't make sense. I'm I just being stupid?
Hummmm.... OK, I've searched through this thread and the thread on numinix's site looking for answers. There's a bunch of people confused about what to name their folders, ie whether to rename all the classic folders to your_template but I'm buggered if I can see an answer - although it is late now :wacko:.
I also discovered that there maybe a problem with the SSU url mod, but I've turned it off and on and doesn't seem to make a difference and besides, from what I've read on it's thread and elsewhere it's compatible with FEC anyhoos. I'm at a bit of a loss so I started again (again, again) from scratch.
My template happens to be called IrishGifts and even though the instructions tell me to upload the files and then change the name of one folder, I decided that I'd follow the same pattern that has worked with other mods and change all the folders named 'classic' to 'IrishGifts'. Followed the rest of the instructions but still get the same error. IE:

I've googled the b'jesus out that error but I haven't the knowledge to spot if there's an answer in the results.

You can probably remove that line. I believe it came about in 1.3.9 as it is not in 1 .3 8s order.php file.Quote:

For future updates, I would like the option to verify the address or zip code with the state and the option not to allow PO Box numbers for the shipping address. I know there is mods for these but the PO Box mod bans po box numbers for billing and shipping.
Why not upgrade your zen-cart to 1.3.9. Has many bug fixes and most important security fixes.

Hi, I was using v1.8.1 and was having problems with the gift certificate and discount coupon buttons. They don't work when I put in the code and hit the button to redeem. It looks like the buttons are not hyperlinked or the links are broken. I upgraded to v1.8.3 but this doesn't solve the issue. Please help. Thanks.

Yes those buttons work. Not the Gift Certificate and Discount Coupon buttons. Am I the only having this problem?
