I noticed that it can't submit carriage value after the shipping option is selected in IE6,and show Script error In the status bar,but it can submit the shipping value in other browsers.

I have this mod installed with COWOA and all is working great...except for 2 issues that I cannot figure out at all!
1) On the Checkout page I am using the FEC dropdown box and when that is clicked it refreshes that page - so if a customer has entered their credit card information everything disappears....how can I make this stop?
2) When a custom finished an order if they DID create an account...then logs off....if they click My Account in the header to log back in the login page does not come up....but it is there when they click from the shopping cart and I can manually enter the URL and it shows....
Any suggestions?!?! THANK YOU!!!!!
Does FEC also shorten the COWOA checkout process or does it only shorten the checkout if a customer creates an account?

Im getting a problem. On the login page there is an overlap between the two columns as shown in the attachment.
I think its something to do with

I cant find any class called <fieldset class="loginFieldsetLeft"> in your CSS files provided with this mod.. nor with the CSS files included in Zen Cart. It should be containing the text not letting it run through?
Also i cant see any other references to loginColumnLeft?

I seem to have it more or less working..
But it is not remembering values
So for example if a customer does not put the password in twice the same.. or enters not enough characters for an address the red warning box comes up to tell them.. but the values that they put in before are now gone
So they have to enter everything again!

In a normal zen cart installation when you make a mistake on the signup for account you get a message like
Errors have occurred during the processing of your form.
Please make the following corrections:
* Is your birth date correct? Our system requires the date in this format: MM/DD/YYYY (eg 05/21/1970)
And then you can change what you entered. However with this... I am not getting that. It just rejects it, brings up a red box telling the mistake but all the information the customer entered is lost and they have to enter it all again!!!

I've searched the forum and haven't seen any posts dealing with the problem we're coming up against.
The module mostly works really great but on the checkout page there are duplicates of all the sections - two shopping cart contents, two discount coupons, two delivery information, two payment information, two comment boxes - and just one submit button.
The site uses several other mods including Ultimate SEO and Multisite.
When I turn Fast & Easy Checkout to false and One Page Checkout to true, it's not a One Page checkout anymore. It's 3 pages. When I turn them both on then it is one page but with the duplicates.
Can anyone offer any suggestions on what's causing this to happen? Thanks!

@ceesdk, anytime you see ALL_CAPS text, it means there's a language file missing. Try re-uploading the files in the \includes\languages\ folder. While you're at it, might be a good idea to upload the whole module just in case other files were not properly loaded the first time ;)

I love the way this make it easy to checkout but i am having one problem with it or at lease i think it is causing it, when someone type their credit card number the radio button does not get selected/checked.

I would suggest trying this, Uninstall "Easy Sign Up and Log In" & FEC I think it is now built in FEC. Make sure you have downloaded FEC from Numinix website and re-install.Quote:

The sql file may not make any difference since they should not be called since you remove the module. I would re-install the FEC sql to make sure that code is intact. You will probably get a already installed message.Quote:

Sorry, forgot to mention I ran the previous FEC uninstall sql, and uploaded the new version of FEC.
Made sure that the complete sql is installed. Delete the lines in the sql that are duplicated and run again, this will install the lines that were not installed because it hit duplicate in other lines.Quote:

You have something installed wrong. Looking at your "Log In" with a check mark in the "Same address shipping/billing" box the Shipping address information should not show. Most errors are files that should be installed in/downstream of "Includes" get installed in "Admin>Includes" or vise versa.Quote:

1.3.9h all was working fine until recently. When a customer proceeds to checkout, IE throws a 'Recovered Tab' and wan't to send the error report.

Confirmed... If I totally turn off FEC then everything works but with it on, IE trips out.
I had made my own thread earlier today and the person who helped me said to try and ask in here to see if it's something with this module. So here is my problem:
I have a customer who is trying to buy a Gift Certificate to my store but she is having trouble completing the checkout in PayPal. This is what she told me "I click paypal and submit order well then it goes to paypal and I click pay now then it goes back to your site will all the same info so I sumbit order and it does it all over again"
The person who was helping me said she had the same trouble like my customer above. She would get into PayPal and then tell it to complete the order and it would be brought right back to my checkout_payment page.
I even tried uploading from last months backup thinking that would help and it still doesn't work.

I realise it's closing the stable door after the horse has bolted, but if you havent already done so then you REALLY should set up a copy of your site on your computer. That way you can test mods to your hearts content without worry of breaking your live store.

I am having a problem with this mod. I'm using FEC v.1.9.6 and Zen-Cart v1.3.9h. On the no_account page, I fill in all the address info, click Continue, and the page just refreshes and I have to enter all the info over again. However, a customer account is created in the admin. I've gone through and reuploaded the files but no luck. Any idea what could be causing this?

I installed FEC 1.9.6 on ZenCart 1.3.9h and enabled "Checkout Without Account" in Configuration.
When I input user info on "/index.php?main_page=no_account" page, the form just refreshes itself and I can't proceed through checkout. A customer account is created though.
Any ideas on how I can fix this? The mod worked fine at first, as soon as I installed the Ceon URI mod I started to have this problem.

Yes, at least i tried to. All posts over there have to be approved first. I've yet to see any indication that it's been looked at yet.
hmm, I know it will seem a step backwards...but could you compare your backed up files to your current 'blank screen' files, then un-do each change one by one til the page appears?
If it makes you feel any better it took me 2 weeks worth of very late nihts trying to install this mod...including starting over with a different template. You will get it but it's tricky as you have a variety of other mods installed too.

Sorry folks I have moved away from zen-cart but have a few legacy clients still using zen-cart.
I can confirm FEC does work with 1.5.0 (see my clients website: saltwatersandals4u.com to see it in action) I installed the last version as is then had to go into phpadmin to activate the module by switching it to true from false. Just an FYI...
I could of added it into the menu but since I only have two clients still using zen-cart it wasn't worth my time to re-modify the add on to make the admin menu work.

While the newest version of FEC is indeed working with Zen Cart 1.5 it still has a lot of old 1.38 code in it files.
I must say, even though I know it is all free and I really do appreciate all the work that is being put in it, I was a little disappointed.
So it works, but I wouldn't call it compatible.
FEC is being used along with checkout without an account. I noticed alot of abandon carts on my website. I finally decided to email the customers to see what is going on. They are unable to login and also when they sign up and click continue it just refreshes the screen and everything is empty and never shows that they were are logged in, which they are not. THis is occuring in google chrome
Installed Fast & Easy Checkout. Problem I have: Shipping is always pre-selected and can not be changed by the customer. It always sends the pre-selected shipping to PayPal. What's even more interesting is the pre-selected and non-changeable shipping method is pretty much always different.
It's very frustrating, as it is a jewelry website and this happened a few days before St.Valentines.:(
Does anyone know where I should look for the problem? I even followed the steps in the "eliminate pre-selected shipping" thread here: http://www.zen-cart.com/forum/showthread.php?t=90218 to no avail.

If I understand what you mean that is the way FEC works, it will default on the least costly shipping method. If it does not default on a selection your customer could place an order with out paying for shipping.Quote:

In the Paypal payment configuration (payment modules) you can choose for Paypal to select the cheapest shipping option, is it possible this has anything to do with it?

I had this working fine on 1.3.9h apart from the telephone number for the delivery address which was causing the change of address to fail.
I did a file compare and up loaded the new version which was in the down load section as there seemed to be some changes. Now I cannot get the check out pages to load and the other module I have installed (AIS - Ajax Attribute Images Swapper) has also stopped working.
I can only assume this is related to a conflict with the jquery, but I cannot get the fist page of check out to load at all. Any ideas where I start to resolve.
Okay now I am confused and just wanting to check what version should be used. I have tried 1.82 - which I had working at one point I think - this seemed to have a pop up window for the change of address - I liked that. Just tried the version from Numinix and this has disappeared - now I cannot change the address - the change of address page is not editable and it does not pop up.
Is this right that this feature has gone? I am now confused over what version does what as reading the numinix history of changes he seems to have removed a few things that I liked about this module. Has anyone else found this or have I failed to re install a file following my earlier issue. (see my earlier post).
Confirmation of what is the best version to use with any ajax or jquery features would be good. Thanks

Hi, I've uploaded all the required files and patched SQL. After doing so I have been unable to log into my admin area. My admin login page is BLANK!! I am freaking out! I've now deleted all of the files, not sure how to manually uninstall the SQL patch. PLEASE HELP! Want to remove this module so I can log into admin area again. I have version 1.3.9h. :(
maybe too late, but the repeated advice all over the forum is before you update/add on any mods is to backup your site... this includes your database if the mod has sql patches etc.Quote:

Tip: to keep track of each version, adopt a naming convention like 'DatabaseName_Date_Time.sql' once you've backed up the database then and only then apply sql patches.
If it goes belly-up you can easily undo the changes by revisiting phpMyAdmin and dropping all the tables and re-importing the database that worked.

Got a couple of questions having just installed FEC on our main site (we already had it working on two of our other sites)
1. With the check box for "Same address for billing and shipping" I'd like this unchecked by default rather than checked. I can do this by changing Configuration>Fast and Easy Checkout Configuration>Copy Billing to false, but then the shipping drop-down doesn't display initially, only when you check and uncheck the box. Is there a fix for this?
2. I had a javascript banner: http://www.zen-cart.com/forum/showthread.php?t=156100 which was working perfectly well until I installed FEC, and now it's blank. Not entirely sure what's gone wrong (I assume it's to do with the CSS JS loader I uploaded before installing FEC), has anyone had similar problems?
