The problem with the javascript banner is that it's interfering with javascript from the new module. I had this happen last week and finally figured it out. Delete javascript files one by one from the server files until you see the banner start working. That way you can isolate the one that is the problem =)

I'm currently setting up a shop using Zen Cart 1.3.9 (not live yet), and want to add the Stock by Attributes 1-4-14 mod. The problem I have encountered it that it need to modify both the order/php files (admin and template), which have already been altered by "Fast and Easy Checkout 1.10.0".
I've compared both files from each mod in WinMerge, but there are so many altered lines that I'm not sure how to proceed.
Do I simply get WinMerge to merge both files into one or will this not work?
Any help getting this mod to work with my fec mod would be most appreciated!

I have a couple of questions. First, I've got FEC up and running on my dad's website (not officially live yet) and it seems to work fine, as long as you want to pay via PayPal or check/money order. I also have Checkout by Amazon installed, but it doesn't show up as a payment option. How can I add it?
Second question... I'm considering installing this on my e-commerce website as well, but I've altered significantly more files on my site than on his... including orders.php which I know is part of the FEC install, and html_header.php which I know the CSS JS Loader adds in... I keep hearing people talk about "merging" files... is this a manual process or is there some program that can magically do this and not bork everything all up? Do I have to manually go through line by line and see what's different? And wouldn't that be really hard since FEC is based on 1.3.9 code and I have 1.5.0 code? A little nudge in the right direction on how to successfully install FEC into a site that has already modified files would be most welcome.
Also on my site I have Amazon *and* Google Checkout (don't have Google on his yet because he uses Advanced Shipper and it's not compatible yet) and I want those to both show up as payment options... so again I need to know how to do that.
Lastly... I see they have an AJAX version for $75. It has some tempting features like login through Facebook... has anyone tried it? Is it worth it? I'll have to sell a lot of lip balm to pay for a $75 module... And if I were to get it, would it be better for me to hold off on the regular one and do a fresh install of the AJAX version, or can you "upgrade" from one to the other? (I think I already know the answer there, but I'm asking anyway.)
Merging files can be done with programs like winmerge. It shows you the differences between two files and you can decide to copy it yes or no.
I was tempted to buy the ajax version from Numinix to, but i didn't. They told me all the files were fro zen cart 1.5 but they also say that about the free versions (which i already stated somewhere isn't trough.) It is working fine, but you have to pay extra attention to what to merge
I have WinMerge, so I can see the differences between the files; you are saying that the actual merging I have to do by hand, though, checking line by line for differences and copying over relevant code?
You actually use the file merging program to do this, but this support thread isn't the right place to discuss how to use Winmerge..Quote:

To anyone else running into a "blank page" problem - check the /cache/ folder for a myDebug file, that should lead you in the direction of the problem.

Hi. I hope someone here can give me some advice.
I don't really want my customers to have the option of creating an account but I can't find the way to successfully turn them off.
I have Fast and Easy Checkout installed and have turned off (ie set to False) the following
Fast and Easy Checkout
Easy Sign-Up and Login
Checkout without account
Checkout without account only is set to true.
That still gives me the option to sign in to an existing account or create a new one.
With "Checkout without account only" set to false as well, I get a "Whoops your session has expired" message.
What am I missing?

In addition to the Ajax version you will need "HighSlide" which is $25.00. This allows the customer to change shipping or billing address without leaving the "Checkout" page. I did purchase both and beleive it is worth it over time to help prevent customers giving up on their purchase by leaving the Checkout page to change their address. I also think it gives a more professional appearance.Quote:

I have FEC installed. In the settings, I have Shipping Address set to true and Copy Billing set to true, but the Same Address for Shipping/Billing checkbox on the create account page is still unchecked. If a customer doesn't check this, they get an error saying that their first name must be more than 2 characters, because the billing information isn't being copied to the shipping information. Can anyone help me to get this box checked by default? BTW, it does appear checked in the COWOA checkout.
I think I'm going round in circles and need a bit of help.
I've installed Zencart 1.5 and the latest FEC. When I try to checkout, where I have to give the billing and shipping information, the drop down list for billing contains all my store's zones but the same list for shipping is empty. In my 1.3.9h store with FEC, both lists were there. All my searching is leading me nowhere. Anyone got any ideas?
I am having this same problem. If I set it to Fast & Easy Checkout "TRUE", no default payment method is selected. Then, you enter the card info & if you don't select the radio dial it gives you an error and you have to re-enter. If I set to Fast & Easy Checkout "FALSE" it works fine.Quote:

I can tell you this, if the mod is installed correctly it will work. So what I would do is compare FEC to the installed files in your Zencart. If you don't find any file in a wrong folder or missing then most likely you have a file that is merged wrong and is not playing nice with FEC. Use Beyond Compare or free Winmerge.Quote:

I installed the FAEC Ajax on my new shop (not live yet...). Although there will always be more then one step, this LOOKS/IS more user friendly imo.
Normaly customers go to checkout and then:
- login or register ->
- register page -> confirm ->
- checkout shipping ->
- checkout payment ->
- checkout confirmation.
With FAEC (Ajax):
- login or register (with COWAO option) ->
- step one to fill out all the adress details ->
- step two to choose payment and shipping and confirm.
FEAC Ajax has some extra options (not sure what excactly, have to compare again.. :P ) but I think in the basics it's the same.
Not sure if both versions can do this, but with FEAC Ajax:
Using giftvouchers and discounts, this also will be displayed in step two. Giftwrap module can also be combined and will also be displayed in step two. Login with Facebook account is also supported, but needs extra module (just like Giftwrap btw..)

The sql of FEC 1.10 was written for Zen cart 1.5, so it also tries to write values in the database for the new admin tables. These tables do not exist in zen cart 1.39. FEC will still work though, but during installation you will get those warnings

I'm using v1.3.9h, and just installed FEC and CSS JS Loader (latest versions). Previously I was using COWOA, which worked fine but I now want to make use of the account creation side of things and FEC seemed the way to go.
When "One Page Checkout" is true, the checkout page hangs on my website rather than going to PayPal. When is it false it works. Also, if I change the default shipping choice and continue, it reverts back to the default shipping again.
My research tells me that there is a problem with the jquery files not being loaded properly with CSS JS Loader, but I don't know how to rectify it.
Can anybody help?

Hi don't know about your issue with one page checkout I don't use on my site with FEC.
Though I did notice when you click the PayPal Express Checkout it doesn't add your postage.
Have you looked into how many other mods are accessing jquery and whether there may be a conflict with other jquery files.
Not to worry about the postage showing up in PayPal, it does add it properly.
I've set this mod up on another site with no problems, using all the same mods I have on mine. How do I check to see if there is a conflict, or that the required scripts are being loaded properly?

Ok. I've narrowed it down to the html_header.php file included with cjloader. I uploaded the original cjloader file again (over my altered one) and the One Page Checkout worked fine, but at least two of the style sheets failed to load (the most important two!), so my site doesn't look right.
Stylesheet.css has this at the top, which calls up two extra stylesheets:
These are the two missing files. I guess I could just copy the info from them both into stylesheet.css, but would like to figure out why they aren't loading in case other stylesheets are failing to load too.Code:@import url("layout.css");

Order Comments not working properly.
I have installed Fast & Easy Checkout, and the module itself appears to be working fine. The issue I am experiencing is that the order comments section (where the admin may add notes for the customer) is not working properly. The default for the comments box is to email the customer and allow them to view the comment in their account. Regardless of which option I select the comments are always emailed and viewable.
There are often times where I want to add hidden notes just for the staff to view, now this is no longer working. Does anybody have any insight?

How can I make changes to login.php template file to make it go to "ACCOUNT" page when they log-in?
What I mean is that when you login to any store and you just come to check your orders, etc. and you don't have anything in your shopping cart, the system will direct you automatically to the index page, which I don't want. Just in case, I don't want this because I have a non-SSL sidebox which I can't change the link to https because it won't work.
I am using latest fec with 1.5 and have just noticed on Checkout Without An Account I have 2 State/province boxes 1 is a drop down and the other is a normal box that needs filling in ..I have checked it against another site and that is OK ..Have also reloaded all FEC files too
any ideas please

See, I don't want to hide the sidebox for non logged users. The problem is that I had hidden the sidebox from SSL pages to avoid the issue (the whole sidecolumn BTW). But when a customer logs in (without having anything in their cart, just going directly) the system will send them to the main page with SSL (https://) and then the non-encrypted warning shows up.

I've been searching this thread and I don't find anyone having this issue.
I have a customer with FEC installed. The other day we were having the issue of not being able to change the shipping method on the checkout page. It just wasn't changing it, it was leaving the default, no matter what.... I then installed the cjloader module and that fixed the issue.
This week the issue reappeared. What am I supposed to do now? I tried clearing/resetting the 2 files in configuration (cache) but no success.
Is this a known issue? I have FEC installed on my store, but I don't have this issue though.

After I installed fec the Fast and Easy Checkout Configuration shows 'Checkout Without Account" TRUE or FALSE.
So setting this to TRUE I imagine would activate it to work as a COWOA?
I have installed this mod and love it.
There is however a minor problem on my site.
Since loading this mod, when you go to the checkout my header image moves up and my footer also moves up. Only by a few pixels but it is very annoying.
Can anyone help with this

I have installed this add-on and am having problems with it. When I click "checkout" it proceeds to say "your order is being processed..." but then when I look in the admin panel under "orders" it does not show any new orders... What is going on with this?
(BTW...you MUST be a registered member to check out for this site...and we need it to stay that way...is there some setting I have wrong or?)
Does it go any further than the 'your order is being processed' or does it just hang there? Do you get confirmation email of purchase?Quote:

Hi I wonder if someone could help me... I have added an additional field on my checkout page using this http://www.zen-cart.com/showthread.p...ld-to-Checkout. I have the field showing on the form but when I go to submit the order it comes up with the processing, then goes to WARNING: An Error occurred, please refresh the page and try again. Now I have altered the tpl_checkout_stacked.php and put the original file back on to see if it is this causing the problem and its still the same. I have also altered includes/classes/order.php and put the original back which fixed the problem. can anyone see from the below code what could be causing the issue. Obviously I know that the line numbers are slightly out.

Ok, nearly there. So far, we've added the field to the template, added the column to the database, and editted the order class to record the value. We now need to get the input and pass it to the order class.

For those looking at paying for the Fast Easy Checkout, I would be wait first. We paid for 2 modules for a retail/wholesale site we have, it has now been a few months and we still have problems which haven't been resolved.

I am having trouble with completing my purchase. I am at the checkout page and if I check the button to check out with Paypal it then goes to the next page saying order is being processed and then it goes right back to the checkout page. If I check the button to pay with check or money order it works just fine and it completes my checkout.
I have had this installed for a long time now and I never noticed any problems with it. I did switch to a new template and I made sure that all the files were uploaded to the new template but I am at a loss of what is going on. I haven't seen anything in my cache folder for any bugs when I test it out.

Never mind on this. :) I emailed the lady who helped me upgrade my cart and she helped me figure it out. It looks like the PayPal had issues with the zip code matching the city/state on my test customer account. It's all fixed now. :)Quote:

After installing Fast and Easy Checkout, when I do a search, the search results use the checkout_payments template
/includes/languages/english/extra_definitions/theme/checkout_payment.php
instead of the tpl_advanced_search_default.php template

I don't know why this started happening or where to go to fix it. Any suggestions?
I am using ZC V1.3.9b
I got it working right, finally.
What I had to do was add a copy of
/includes/languages/english/advanced_search_result.php
to
/includes/languages/english/extra_definitions/theme/advanced_search_result.php
This is the language definitions file. I don't know why it affects template selection, though. It is a mystery.
Does other Plug ins effect this?
i installed this and im not seeing the option to check out without account and when i check out orders dont go through
You need to turn it on first - Configuration > Fast and Easy Checkout Configuration
HI I'm using FEC set to COWOA only (I never get returning customers due to my products) is there a way of my T & Cs and privacy statements opening in a new page as at the moment if you click the link it takes you to the page but when you return to the no account page all the information is wiped:censored:
