I removed the integrated minify from this project, in favour over the new minify from numinix, which was updated to work with zen cart 1.5
I have TPP working, but for some reason it won't read the database values for the tabs, so it only shows the default settings. So there is some progress :wink:

When you say you are running the standalone version do you mean you are running version 1.05 of TPP or something else?

Currently using version 1.3.9h as I am waiting on a number of mods to be updated including this one before I upgrade to 1.5 plus I'm using a custom template which will need to be upgraded as well and that might take some time :(.

Thanks I didn't think of that... but that doesn't surprise with all the work I have been doing to the site of late and by turning off minify it stopped the errors from happening.

But would still like to know what is causing them if anyone has any ideas. Mainly because I am the kind of person who likes to know how everything works. I remember pulling my brothers antique grand father clock apart when I was a kid... sadly I never was able to get it back together again. So I put all the parts behind the clocks door hoping he would not notice. But he did....

Yes it surely would be a worthy edition to get it compatible with ZenCart 1.5. I only wish I had more time to learn about PHP and CSS myself so you are one up on me. I have a good understanding of HTML but sadly I don't know much about PHP and CSS. Have been thinking of going to TAFE and seeing if there is some courses for me to learn it.

I am runing 1.07 but removed the integrated minify because i am also running FEC, which also uses minify and I installd the stand aloen version from Rubiks, found here: https://github.com/yellow1912/cjloader

You could do some comparing and find out what the differences are. I know there are some big differences in the file called browser.php (this could also be the solution for your error.

Love your clock story, reminds me a lot of my own youth I also used to "de construct" everything in the house. :laugh:

As for the new version of TPP, I had a breakthrough this morning and the database values are being read now. The last thing to do is to let TPP find the css file, in the tpp folder, and rewrite the sql files and the readme.

Please tell me you are removing that minify program that got bundled in for no particular purpose to TPP.. IMHO, the author of CJ Loader should have simply submitted that CJ Loader "addition" as it's OWN add-on versus slapping it arbitrarily into TPP.. it really NEVER should have been added to TPP the way it was..

I finally have tpp working, and I must admit it was very simple. :blush: I almost don't dare to tell this, but I simply forgot to copy some files :blush::frusty::blush::blush::oops:

So now all that's left is to update the readme and resubmit the addon, unless there are some last minute requests.

OK it's official I now have a headache after ZenCarting for over twelve hours today according to my Cuckoo Clock and I still haven't completed everything I wanted to. :(

So please excuse my ignorance or tiredness should I say... but may I ask what you did to remove the integrated minify in v1.07? Or should I just uninstall v1.07 (and hope that something doesn't break :D) and install v1.05... or should I just go to bed and forget about the whole thing :laugh: ....

For the 1.5 version, don't stay up, because it may not be until it is available in the downloads section.

I meant the CJ Loader minify application that was added ARBITRARILY to TPP starting with v1.06. The addition of the CJ Loader app in my opinion has added NO VALUE to TPP and it has been a CONSISTENT source of install issues since it's introduction to TPP and needs to be KICKED TO THE CURB!!:laugh::laugh: The CJ Loader author should have submitted it as a separate add-on and not tacked it on to the TPP add-on.. (seemed somewhat self serving IHMO to do this - YEP I said it!!!:shocking:)

Hi and thanks for your reply DivaVocals.

I originally installed all the files/folders from the v1.07 release and then I had issues with errors in my cache directory. Now from memory as it was either last year or perhaps the year before. I ended up downloading a different version of the CJ Loader files from here in an attempt to stop these errors from happening:

Which in turned after being uploaded and the SQL patches run fixed the errors I was getting. So I have been using this version of CJLoader ever since.

As for the errors I was getting in my error log I cannot remember what they were and it seems I cannot find my readme file in which I make notes about errors and other important things that I come across in ZenCart and the particular mod that I am installing or uninstalling at the time :(. So I apologise as I cannot tell you anymore about the errors I was getting.

As for not using it anymore other than not uploading the min directory and running the SQL patches on a new install or deleting the min directory and running the uninstall SQL patch on a current install. Is there any changes or modifications that need to be made to the files included in v1.07 of the mod?

Do you think it's worth adding a v1.08 and finally removing it completely?

That's right, it has not been submitted yet. I had some unexpected pleasant suprises due to my 5 year anniversary with my wife. (She took me on a short holiday). So work on the module came to a halt. I will try to complete it this week, so we can finally enjoy TPP in 1.5

After much thought I decided to leave the functionality for the css / js loader intact, but to remove the actual "program" files. The loader has to be separately downloaded from Numinix, and has to be installed prior to installing the TPP add on.

Now of course you could use it without, but than you would have to use the file structure from TPP 1.05. The main reason for me not to do this was that in that case it always loads the script and css files for TPP

That's disappointing.. :yes: IMHO I think forcing folks to use that css/jss loader is a mistake particularly since:

1. the css/js loader IS NOT part of the add-on package
2. the css/js loader IS NOT not available in the free downloads either.

But mainly I think it's a mistake forcing folks to use this program anyway since as was correctly point out by Kuroi previously, it doesn't "add" anything to the basic TPP functionality.. in other words, TPP's intended functionality -- creating tabbed product pages -- doesn't NEED the css/js loader to work unless the add-on forces the issue (which it sounds like your version does). It adds functionality that shop owners really should be able to decide for themselves that they need/want and not be forced into using it because of this add-on requires it. what if shop owners really don't want to install the css/js loader why not make it an admin option instead??

I can't say I disagree with you, but I had to make a choice :wacko:. I am not sure at this point how to make it an admin option. Maybe there should be two versions? One with and one without the loader, but that's confusing to.

Sure there was a choice.. why include it at all?? Why does TPP NEED this?? It was NEVER added to this add-on to enhance this add-on's core functionality, and when I submitted the v1.07 version I am saying I made a mistake in not pulling the css/js loader out of the install package, BUT in v1.07 the css/js loader is not REQUIRED to use TPP...

Followed the steps on the Adding Global Tabs file but it doesnt seemt to work. The product info page crashed when the 3 strips of codes were pasted and uploaded to the server. Is there anything else I should be doing? Maybe in admin? Does anyone have a custom tab working?

Nope. It's there. Just click the "Plugins" tab above (on this page), then search for: tabbed. You will see both versions.

Yep search for Tabbed Products Pro, not TPP or TTP

So I understand 1.08 is not available from plugin section yet? With new design search fails when browsing from mobile and I coudn't get it working from chrome. Now it seems a bit better, but search "tabbed" would return Pro version. I have managed to find it, but 1.07 only.

Well if it was submitted it takes time to be approved.

Downloaded, installed, refreshed my page, and no tabs.. In fact not only do I have no tabs, the javascript and CSS needed to support the tabs don't load at all.. Does anyone have the v1.0.8 of TPP working with Zen Cart v1.5???

This was a fresh install, and would NOT work at all until I added the css/js loader. But, as I have VERY little time to play with the computer these days, I haven't even began to work out a solution.

BTW............everything DOES show up in the database correctly...........if that helps any?

I have installed TTP 1.08 on ZC 1.5 and everything is perfect... almost

I'm trying to get main image and Description in one line just above all the tabs.

No disrespect to Design75 at all, but I have put together (and will be submitting) an updated version of TPP that doesn't REQUIRE the CSS/JS Loader AT ALL to work. I've managed to get an auto-installer working with it too.. I'll be putting a copy up on my own website for folks to download and test if they like.. I'm working on updating the readme and some uninstall scripts, and I'll get this submitted this upcoming week..

IMHO, the CSS/JS Loader should NEVER have been latched into this add-on. It adds NO FUNCTIONAL VALUE to TPP. (with the minor exception of allowing the shopowner to set the TPP stylesheet in the admin instead of editing the TPP stylesheet)

There was never really anything wrong with v1.05 of TPP. It was stable and worked perfectly. When the v1.06X flavors of TPP were submitted, the original author of TPP stopped actively (and was vocal about it) supporting this mod. TPP v1.06X's most significant "change" was the inclusion of the CJ Loader app. Otherwise there was no REAL reason to install v1.06X at all..

IMHO the CJ Loader app should have been submitted as a separate add-on and not "stuffed" into another mod with no REAL benefit to the mod itself..

Any shop owner who WANTS TO install the CSS/JS Loader should feel free to download it from the Numinix site if they so desire. But hitching it onto TPP when it doesn't add any additional core TPP functionality is what has been problematic with every TPP release after v1.05.

Hello all, what a great addon, though I've run into a snag. I also figured out that I needed to add the CSS/JS Loader in order for the tabs to work. However, after I loaded it, I can't log into my admin side anymore. When I go to http://store.precisionma.com/administrator/ it just shows a blank page in FireFox, and in I.E. I'm getting a 500 server error. Any ideas??

Update: Interesting, when I removed the administrator\includes\auto_loaders\config.css_js_loader.php file everything popped back up just fine!

I've got none because the issue is a a result of issue with the CSS/JS Loader, and you will need to ask about the CSS/JS Loader on the Numinix forum. Your post is another PRIME example of why I will be submitting a version of TPP which does NOT require the CSS/JS Loader..

I'm guessing you haven't had a chance to do this yet as I couldn't see it on your site, I for one would appreciate a TPP that doesn't use the css/Js loader.

I couldn't understand why my install wasn't working, until searching the forum I didn't realise it requires the loader to function.

I haven't had a chance to update the readme for the updated version.. (sorry about that:blush:) I will put it up on my site tonight sans the updated readme so that folks can get the "un-encumbered" version now..

Once I finish the readme and the uninstall SQL, I will be submitting it to the free-downloads next week (God willing and the creek don't rise..).. In the meantime, I've got this version available on my website.. Once it's available in the free-downloads, it will no longer be available on my site.

Hello All this is my 1st post and im new to zencart. I have 1 problem only maybe you guys can help you all seem pros :) My Zen Cart 1.3.9h has TPP but I can seem to make it work no matter what I do my site is www.jrlelectronics.com if you look at a product there is only a description tab i need to have at least 3 moe fields so it looks more pro can you guys point me in the right direction ? BTW I have Zen Cart 1.3.9h for the language support. Thank you very much

I have the latest installed for Zencart 1.5 and have the TPP config in my admin control panel. But I am not seeing anything as far as adding them to a product. I followed the install file. I am not sure what I am missing. When I look at the product add page in the admin panel, I cannot find where I add the tabbed feature. And when I look at the actual products' page, no tabs appear.

I know this makes me look like an idiot, but I am a woodworker/hardware guy by trade and learning this as I go. Any help here is greatly appreciated!

Hi just uninstalled an old version of TTP before installing the new version and I have a blank listing in admin configuration

Done some digging and the version thats causing the problem is the 1.08a version the uninstall script dose not remove all instances from admin it leaves the blank page no matter what I try. Really need some guidence here.

Update...

I figured out what was holding me back. I had two image handlers for additional images causing trouble and preventing things from working correctly. I ditched one and stuck with Image Handler 4 and all is right with the world now. :smartalec: Lesson learned.

As I indicated on my site, you MUST uninstall any prior versions of TPP and remove the CSS/JSS Loader files before using the version I posted on my site. To be sure that you have uninstalled it correctly, you must use the uninstaller from the version of TPP that you have currently installed..

thank you. I did uninstall the SQL dump but I don't think I removed all the files that were added. I will see if that caused the problem.

oops think thats why I've ended up with a blank tpp pro config page but I need to have css/jss loader for fec and some other mods is there a way of removing the blank tpp config page from your version.

Found a way to get around it. I just pulled all the various CSS and looked at them one at a time to see what worked and what didn't. Looks good. Does exactly what I would hope for. Great product.

How do I go about just changing tab images to one of the included ones in 1.08?
And change font colour too on tab?
Couldn't spot anything in the 'how to use'...
Don't know my way around css but can try if I know what file etc.

To answer my own silly question:
At the bottom of TPP-Config in admin, is TPP Stylesheet. Change that to one of the included numbers.
Font changes with each sample as does button...
So if you've also read through the current 177 odd pages of this and spotted tricky css changes etc, try the easy way first! :)

Not able to answer this one myself though...

Have the mod set up and working for Product - General.
We also use Document - Product but can't get that working.

In admin under TPP pages to enable, I have copied the sample there but doesn't work.
Just not sure what to put in for Document-Product page type?

First Thanks DivaVocals for putting together 1.08a Unfortunately, I too have a blank Adming configuration. I've read all the forum pages on this (wow 177 pages). Most advice is to make sure all previous versions are uninstalled and all DB entries removed. However, I've just created a new site and a new DB without anything else added. So there can't be any previous versions installed.

I do have an old site pointing to an old DB using 1.08 that has Config->TPP -config and show proper admin entries. In the 1.08a verions I have Congfig -> Tabbed Products Pro - Configuration but doesn't show anything on the page.

How does one fix this? How does one use the auto installer for TPP?

Also, would love to know if anyone has any examples of coding for some tabs they've created? I the tabs and their contents here http://www.barkandstuff.com/shop/sno...ith-turtleneck

And am wondering how to get reviews inside a tab (such as review addon or something?)

Another thing I'm noticing is that when I add text above a tag inside the product description field before the <!--%Product Description--%> tag, it creates a second "Product description" tab. When I leave it blank above the first tag then I have only one "product description" tag. However, I thought that putting text or html code before the first <!--%> tag should put that info above the tabs on the product_info page?

What I'm trying to do is have words beside my picture and not just in the tabs. My image is on the right and I'd like my text to be beside it on the left of the image above the tabs.

Well I finally got it resolved. I had to uninstall SQL using 1.08a uninstall, then use the 1.08 SQL and use the Admin ->tools -> Install SQL patches

Now I have an admin-TPP Config. Yay..

I also figured out the Global Product Description tab to move the text above the first <!--% tag out of the tabs. Helps once you get an Admin consol working :)

Now, can someone please help with the css styling? I think it's in stylesheet.css and it's the .back attributes. What I would like is the text above teh tabs to be aligned left of the image. Actually, I just played a little more...if I set attributs on tab to yes (1) then the attributes move to their own tab as expected but then text above the first tag move to where you expect...beside the image...hmmm more playing to do but it's late.

(Tabbed Products Pro (TPP) v1.09) It will be posted on my site later today, and submitted to the downloads section as soon as I finish cleaning up the rest of the readme file. (Install instructions are complete)

Thanks to examples I "borrowed" :laugh: from the venerable niccol, I was able to re-work and improve the auto installer. There is no need for any external SQL install or uninstall files.. The auto-installer will now remove previous versions of TPP from the database completely (especially versions 1.06 - 1.08).

You will need to remove all previous versions of TPP and CSS/JS Loader files before installing TPP v1.09. (If you want to use the the CSS/JS Loader, you should consider downloading the latest version from the current author's site and install it separately from TPP)

I posted this because I thought others would find it useful.. It's been VERY well tested, but your mileage may vary.. I will NOT be providing any support for this..

Before I go any further I just want to say I know very very little about all of this so if anybody is kind enough to offer an answer please could you reply in simple language!

I have downloaded DivaVocals version of TPP and have installed it to the point where it shows under admin>configuration. However I am at a total loss as to how to get my descriptions tabbed??? Am I right in thinking that I have to add the tags to the product description in admin>catalogue? I have tried this but I don't seem to get any tabs on my description.
Would there be someone who would be kind enough to explain exactly where I need to put the description including tags and also could someone send me a sample description with tags to see if it works ( just a simple desription with 2 or 3 tags so that I can see where everything goes).

Yesterday we did a fresh install using the demo store information and a template that we have chosen to use on our website (at the moment we are just playing around with it so we can get our heads around it before building the actual website).

Second double check your install.. files that are needed to make tabs display is missing.. you either did not not rename the "includes/custom_template" folder to match your own template folder, or you didn't upload this folder..

That doesn't do that for me. But then again I am not using the latest version nor could I ever get the sub tags to work for some reason.

Well it will certainly produce the result I posted if you are using TPP v1.05 or greater.. and that is most certainly the result that will happen in v1.09.. as I indicated, the description tab is turned on via the admin..

v1.09 is now available in the Zen Cart downloads section and is no longer available on my website.

how to get one tab per attribute, or better separate attributes in tabs, i.e.

Attrib3


Perhaps there's a javascript mod to do but I don't know how.

Perhaps a mod of the parser function could be enough, I imagine a tag as

which would put the attrib ID # as a tab content.

Not seeing 109a on your site or in the downloads section, so wondering what progress is being made? I have tried to incorporate V109 into a 1.5.0 site with CSS JS loader (needed for FEC) and when the CSS JS loader is turned on, the TPP does not work. Was hoping TPP 109a might rectify this issue. :smile::smile:

v1.09a is a MINOR update (as I indicated in my previous post) and I don't have a status report on it (been a tad busy on paid projects).. when I do I will post it here.. v1.09 is working and should be used instead..

I will keep messing and see if I can come up with a solution to get TPP to work when CSS JS IS required, as it is in the case of the website I am working on. The client may just have to decide which they want.... TPP or FEC if I can't get them to play nicey nice with each other!

Well neither v1.09 nor 1.09a require CSS/JS Loader as versions v1.06 - v1.08 of TPP did. v1.09 is based on the last release by the original TPP author (before the CSS/JS Loaders was bullied into TPP). Not sure why the CSS/JS Loader would interfere with TPP.. The CSS/JS Loader has no active maintainer here nor is it an add-on available in the Zen Cart downloads (another of many reasons why I felt it needed to unlinked from TPP). You might check with the folks at Numinix or Rubix Integrations for assistance with configuring the CSS/JS Loader..

Thanks! I may do that. I just did a brand new install of 1.5.0 - no mods or customizations except TPP and Css JS Loader - got the same results to the product page, so there is definitely something fishy going on with the two of them not wanting to work together! LOL

Document-Product uses a different TPL file:

tpl_document_product_info_display.php

... and the required additions for TPP are not in that file.

You need to put a COPY of that file, obtained from:
/includes/templates/template_default/templates/tpl_document_product_info_display.php
into
/includes/templates/YOUR_TEMPLATE/templates/tpl_document_product_info_display.php

Then open THAT copy for editing:

Honestly I have NO IDEA what you are saying is happening, and a screen print isn't enought to help anyone figure it out.. You might want to post a link to the page so folks can see what you are speaking of..
