It would have been simpler if you had said, "I read help file <link> and it said to change file <filename>. I am using 1.5.8 and I don't see the file <filename>."
Please help us help you. The filenames for the language files all changed in 1.5.8 and I thought I had updated the documentation, but apparently I missed a handful of locations. If you say, "Is <link> out of date?" that's a REALLY fast question to answer.
Re: Can't tfind needed file
gifs may be obsolete, but png are uncompressed, you might want to consider using a newer image format such as webp as they are good quality with very low filesize, which means your page loads faster, and they are better for seo. I recently converted everything on my site from png to webp and was shocked at how many of the png files I was using were over 1mb :)

Good suggestion, will see if gimp can convert to that format, the file was .png originally, never converted.

@swguy
Will try to let you know as time permits, I am a really busy person, have to juggle zencart. Linux, doctor visits, my job, playing chess, and my wife.
Re: Can't tfind needed file
The documentation should be fixed now, but being more specific when you ask questions will get you help faster.

Indeed, it would have rendered this question unnecessary and the procedure would have been a contribution, but alas!, things don't come to my mind instantly.

FYi I already solved the problem,will post answer in similar thread I created today, will post the solution shortly.
BTW, I found the file by using tools provided by my Linux distro and my brain, it would have been simpler to just post location of file instead of engaging in discussion, I could not accept the solution of renaming my file to something.gif because it was a .png and I did not want to transform it into a .gif because it is an obsolete and poor format.
You do realize there is a search feature in the admin, right? Tools, developers tool kit...
