I once again have change the template to the store to this one . I love the footer and think it's the one I would like to keep, however I am having huge problems now though the template was working fine last week. I am now not seeing the right sidebar, features, specials, and the footer on the main page also there seems to be other problems though I can't figure them out .. site is http://dezertdezinez.com/store/



In the past few hours I have restored the db to an older one ( last week before putting the template in) then fixed a core file issue also set the template back to orginal files then changed the css to colors wanted and images file to what we wanted for the template and yet still no fix

Not sure what to do .. any help would be great .

For the left hand side bar, "Categories"

When I add a new product the link "All Products" get pushed all the way to the bottom. I would like the "All Products" link to be at the top of all of the other products - how do I change this?

I would also like to NOT have "New Products" show up in the left side bar - is there a way to disable this link?

There is an admin setting for this too.. I suggest you take a look around the FAQs MANY of your question scan be answered there..

Zencart is a completely new platform to me so it's hard to be able to know everything, let alone read everything about it. I've been reading as I go non stop, but sometimes asking questions in forums (like this one) to help answer a question relieves a lot of frustration for a newb. You don't have to respond if you don't want to. Telling me there's an admin section & then to go hunt for the answer in a FAQ isn't very helpful.

It looks like you have part of a blank page. Look in your /cache or /logs folder for error log files and fix the errors.

You will need to edit a php file to move the all products link. Use your developers toolkit to search for the file that needs to be edited.

If you look in the FAQ's section of this site you will find a tutorial about how to use the developers toolkit. There is also info about turning off the new products link.

I have attempted to fix this and nothing has changed it's still missing part of the page though on some pages the right and the footer are showing .. also on some pages pictures or items are not showing at all .

Do I need to take the whole thing back to the basic and uninstall all the templates but the basic then reinstall the one I want . or do I need to start the whole thing from scratch.

I have taken off the show of featured new and specials to let the right sidebar show though I would like to have them on the front page is there a way to size the center column so I can still have them on the front page ..

This is an admin side error and is not related (I believe) to the front end problems.

Just wanted to let you know that it was more of a mess so I had to reinstall everything and is now working great..
I do have one little issue that I wanted to ask .. In the header is the section useful links and would like a few pages to show there though for some reason they are not showing .. I got them in the footer and side-bar though would rather have in header then on the side ..

I am trying to add another slideshow to put on a banner like zx slideshow but it doesn't work. In the admin ->configurations -> zx slidershow and then nothing!

Hello Anne,

I was doing something very stupid. so i just change everything! thanks for the help.

Now i have a problem with my footer. is not align on the right side. on the left side is align is align with the header but on the right side goes till the end of the page. I don't care if is align with the header or like in the example is of the size of the page, but i want him to be equal on both side!

I'm sorry, I should have been a bit more descriptive, the slider navigation buttons are what they are call. But it's all good I re-read the install readme and it was in there so I move them off-screen. Also sorry for the late reply :blush:

Is there a way to make changes to the slideshow settings other than the content/quantity of slides? I'm mainly thinking of changing the speed of the slides changing but any other variables that can be messed with are good to know as well. Thanks.

Yes, you can make changes. Do a google search for easy slider to find the documentation for the slide show.

Hi Guys,

Could someone point me in the right direction please, I would like to remove the names from the catagory items on the main page as I would like to display the image only, I have tried going to ADMIN/CONIF/PRODUCT LISTING/ and changing 'Display Product Name' and also the stylesheet.css and adding,

h1#productListHeading {display: none;}

But that didn't work either, I'm not sure if I'm even barking up the right tree, lol. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Well after a little tinkering I figured it out, I just added,

.categoryListBoxContents a {visibility:hidden;}<br>.categoryListBoxContents a img{visibility:visible;}

to the bottom of the Stylesheet.css file and that fixed the problem. Thanks again!

I am happy that you solved your problem. A better solution would be display:none; as visibility:hidden since even invisible elements will take up space on the page.

Yes, I see ;) You would have to add a separate class on to the anchor tag for the category name to do a display:none; on it.

I'm having an issue where the product attributes seem to randomly shift themselves a little from product to product and are not lined up in an orderly manner. Any idea's on this one? iv gone through the original setup that comes with the installation..still no slider

our site is http://dezertdezinez.com/workspace and I am using this template
my question is about this template and viewing on a tablet .. I looked just for testing and the footer is coming up in the middle of the tablet screen on any page of the site .. is there a way to fix it? I would like to keep using this template as now I got all the pictures in and buttons and so on the way I like them .

This template is not responsive. If you want it to look good on tablets and phones, then I would recommend switching to one of our responsive template packages.

You can edit the includes/templates/yorkshire_clean/common/tpl_mega_menu.php. There are instructions in the readme file for hiding top level drop downs using css.

None of the classes are already in the stylesheet_mega_menu.css file. If you want to hide the drop downs, then you need to add them.

Whenever you get a blank page or part of a blank page, check your logs folder for errors and correct them.

My guess is that you have modules installed that have files in the override directories and you have not copied these files to the new template override directory. This must be done with any new template install.

It may not be the problem. I was only guessing. I don't have access to your site error logs and do not even know your url. You need to check your logs folder for errors and correct them.

Hi, I am trying to remove the product quantity in stock numbers and replace them with either the text "In Stock" or "Out of Stock." I have tried the steps located here (http://www.zen-cart.com/showthread.p...63#post1234463) although it doesn't appear to be working and I am suspicious it might have something to do with the template. Any suggestions on how I can make this work?

Hi I have just downloaded the theme, unzipped and added it to the theme folder but it says the style sheet is missing...

yorkshire_clean Stylesheet is missing.

Can this be downloaded separately or am I doing something wrong?

It is already included in template package. My guess is that you have not uploaded all of the package files or that you have uploaded them to the wrong place on your server.

I added the folder to the server the same way I do all my themes...

I unzip the folder and add the yorkshire_clean folder in the themes directory. Is there something I am missing? I found another theme and installed it without issue but prefer yours. Could you send me a link to download your theme from as it might not be a trusted site I got it from.

Thanks for getting back to me, I have downloaded the zip, extracted the contents to my desktop and I'm currently uploading the folder onto the server and I'll let you know how I get on.

The stylesheet is still missing apparently :(

I am sure I am putting it in the right place as I can get the other themes to work without issues.

I'm happy to donate once we get it sorted as its a really nice theme and your help on here is very much appreciated!

Other than doing the installation for you, there is not really anything that I can do to help other than to tell you that you need to upload the files to the same folder that has your includes, logs, cache, etc. folders.

Any donations are always welcome. Unfortunately, a very small percentage of people who use the template actually donate. If everyone who used the template only donated a small amount, say $5 - $10, I could devote myself full time to updating and creating new free template packages ;)

You mentioned putting the folder with the "includes, logs, cache, etc" I can't see any of that in here which is making me think your theme needs to live somewhere else?

Read the FAQ how zencart works. You are putting it in the wrong place to start.

The readme instructions for her templates are clear and gives all steps. But it seems you do not want to follow instructions at all.

No, it looks like you are uploading to a wordpress folder. Please see the readme.html file included in the template package for installation instructions.

Dear Ann,
I like this template.. it is complete.
I searched into the forum, but no found response.....

the problem i can't resolve is:

on the homepage, the center box wrapper dont'run.
when i click on "new or featured or specials" it run good but only if anyone click on it.
if someone comes from the outside, he saw a white page in the middle.

Hi Anne,

Thanks for this amazing template! We decided to use it after seeing the live demo. But we got some problems here: some icons are missing after uploading - the "search" tab on the navigation bar (the most important function we need), "Categories" window on the left side. Also the whole navigation bar with the slide show is moved up a little bit. Here is our URL: www.leddepotcanada.com. Can you please take a look and help out how to fix it?

**** Centre Box *****

Hi Anne,

Not sure if my question below has already been discussed:

On the website home page (http://www.leddepotcanada.com), the centre box doesn't show any product unless I click on "NEW". How can I default the home page to display products automatically without clicking on "NEW"? I tried to adjust "Layout Boxes Controller" but it didn't work. Looks like it doesn't control the centre boxes. Anywhere I can adjust this, or do I need to modify the php files?
