Zencart is a completely new platform to me so it's hard to be able to know everything, let alone read everything about it. I've been reading as I go non stop, but sometimes asking questions in forums (like this one) to help answer a question relieves a lot of frustration for a newb. You don't have to respond if you don't want to. Telling me there's an admin section & then to go hunt for the answer in a FAQ isn't very helpful.

I don't mind pointing you in the right direction, but if you are going to be cusotmizing your own site, you should be prepared to do your own legwork ;-)

It looks like you have part of a blank page. Look in your /cache or /logs folder for error log files and fix the errors.

the error I am getting is [21-Apr-2013 14:22:39] PHP Warning: htmlspecialchars() [<a href='function.htmlspecialchars'>function.htmlspecialchars</a>]: Invalid multibyte sequence in argument in /home/james333/public_html/store/zc_admin/define_pages_editor.php on line 188

I have attempted to fix this and nothing has changed it's still missing part of the page though on some pages the right and the footer are showing .. also on some pages pictures or items are not showing at all .

Do I need to take the whole thing back to the basic and uninstall all the templates but the basic then reinstall the one I want . or do I need to start the whole thing from scratch.

I have taken off the show of featured new and specials to let the right sidebar show though I would like to have them on the front page is there a way to size the center column so I can still have them on the front page ..

This is an admin side error and is not related (I believe) to the front end problems.

Just wanted to let you know that it was more of a mess so I had to reinstall everything and is now working great..
I do have one little issue that I wanted to ask .. In the header is the section useful links and would like a few pages to show there though for some reason they are not showing .. I got them in the footer and side-bar though would rather have in header then on the side ..
The site is http://dezertdezinez.com/workspace

only plug-ins are the zc_backup

and the sideboxes are secure ( live chat, logo and logo1)

Did you turn on the ezpages_drop_menu.php box as per the instructions in the readme.html file?

I am trying to add another slideshow to put on a banner like zx slideshow but it doesn't work. In the admin ->configurations -> zx slidershow and then nothing!

Is it something of the template or am i doing somethnig wrong?
