nfn but if you are turning OFF the resizing option then you arent really using IH2, at least not for what most people use it for, and so why bother installing it i the first place, imo
i have found that ih2 installed or not, if i dont have that products picture in all three folders, it doesnt come up. its so odd. and sometimes my other images come up but not the main image.

The way I am using the two is I am letting IH2 create my thumbnails. Then I have lightbox pulling the original large image for the blow up. So IH2 isn't creating the enlarged image on the fly. Plus I had to modify it to work with 1.2.7. But that was easy. Only had to modify a couple places.Quote:

Unfortunately it didn't work on my site. After testing around I found out, that it depends on product type. All my articles are of document_product, because these are ads, and there's no shipping. If I create a new item as "Product General", it just works fine.
I've tried to find anything in the scripts that looks like "product type" or something, but there seems to be nothing like that.

I had the same problem, all you need to do is copy jscript_lightbox.php from
zen_lightbox_1.2.rar_FILES/includes/modules/pages/product_info
into includes/modules/pages/documemt_product_info/ or any other product type you wish to use the lightbox with.

I think what Lala_G_Clef_Jewelry mentioned points to the problem. Light Box seems to read large sized images from the images/large folder. IH2 places large (and other) images in the weird bmz_cache folder using a filing system I'm not too familiar with.
Unless either Light Box can take images from the IH2 folders, or unless IH2 can place large images in the images/large folder, I don't know that these two would be able to work together.
Don't worry people... I'm not dead! (just really busy with work at the moment).
I've been working on adding support for IH2 and feel that I need to rebuild the contribution from the ground up using different core jscript files to create the 'lightbox'.
This shouldn't take too long and I'll try and get something uploaded before next week.
Got a quick question... If I made a ez-page for a art gallery or something like this how could I give those images the "lightbox effect"? Would it be possible with out tons of changes?

But a question: for some reason I'm seeing the thumnail (i.e. product listing) image, but not product info page images (the medium size). The text for "click for larger image" or whatever shows up, so I can click on it and it brings me the image in larger size with the light box. So I'm wondering why the medium sized images aren't showing up.
That said, the medium sized product info images do show up if I had manually uploaded the image_MED to the images/medium folder.
I tried this both with IH2 uninstalled and installed, FF and IE, and the same thing happens.

Alex, could you just tell me - is LB designed to do the same action as the default ZC image display setup, where on the product info page it checks for the _MED image and if nothing is there it displays just the base image? Or if "larger image" is clicked it checks for the _LRG file and if that's not there, it defaults to showing the base image? Because the way LB appears to be set up right now it checks for the _MED image and if it's not there it doesn't default to the base image, though if there is not _LRG image it does default to the base image. I do believe RAR files are popular in Europe whereas Zip is the preferred format in North America.

ok. just finished installing and it works great. but, i'm noticing that if i scroll down my browser a bit and then click to see the image, the black doesn't cover completely to the bottom. but, if i leave the browser scrolled all the way to the top, the black does completely cover everything. anyone notice this too, or is it something with my site?

I've installed all three, but I don't seem to have the lightbox working properly..
I've followed the instructions to the best of my abilities for image-handler and light box... are they a necessary combination? what is the best way to troubleshoot my problems?

I may not be a lightbox issue - i have changed the code so that the sidebox displays pic instead of just links... it may be in there somewhere.

Fixed it... Nothing to do withZen lightbox... CSS issue

Ive just tested lightbox and I am really hoping that what I am experiancing is not the norm.
Unless you wait for the page to open fully then lightbox does not work and instead the image will load in the same window full screen.
A normal reaction from a user would be to close the window. They are then out of your site - customer lost!!!
I hope I am being dumb! Can this be prevented?
can you please post a link to your site so we may see what it is doing...
mine opens on top of my main page, but its really a floating page, so when they click on it and close the image it goes back to the main page....

This is my first post so please bear with me. I love this mod. The only problem I have is it locks up when trying to open 2nd or 3rd images on the page. Hereis a page that I am talking about. If i have too I will remove Extra images. I do like this MOD!!

See if that helps.
Also, when the lightbox appears on your site it is displayed under the flash banner (at the top). To work round this simply place your flash code (in your header file) inside the following tag...
Also make sure that the class flash doesn't exist in any of your css files.Code:<div class="flash"> your-flash-code-goes-here </div>
This will basically tell Zen Lightbox to hide any elements with the 'flash' class.

Ok, I got it to work with 1.3.6 but I had to merge the /includes/modules/additional_images.php files.
I was pretty sure that Zen Lightbox would work with 1.3.6 without any changes.
Anyway... I'm just upgrading to 1.3.6 (from 1.3.5) now and will then try installing Zen Lightbox on both my upgraded shop and a fresh install of 1.3.6.
I'll post my results back later. :)
How do I resize the image that opens?? It's too big because you have to scroll down to close the window. I've messed with the CSS lightbox file
Scrap the above, from reading all posts the large image is the size you upload it, which is fine. Before they we're just fitting onto the screen.
I need to move the popup image so it starts nearer the top!!! Also is it possible to do an onclick close image like the original popup???

I've just installed it today and it works great!. Just a little problem with the 'wrong order of Additional Images'. It's a tricky one.
When I click on the 'Main Medium image', it shows the button 'Prev' instead of 'Next'. Which apparently is not right order according to normal human sense.

Hey Alex, can you think of a way to use this for category images?
If people click on the category image they expect to be taken to the category, right? So would using Zen Lightbox to display large category images caue problems (navigational) for your visitors?
Also, can Zen Cart currently display a larger category image if you click on it? If so, the answer is yes - Zen Lightbox will be able to display larger category images.

Actually what I'm interested in doing is not using individual product images at all. What I'm wanting is to use small category and sub category pictures which are used to display applications of the product, which for my products are a far more interesting way to show them.Quote:

Whats wierd is that when I load the Main image through the traditional add item method, it will show in lightbox and the additionals wont work.
When I use imagehandler to load all three images, none of them work.

I just wanted to say thanks for this GREAT contribution! I've got it installed on my site which runs Zen Version 1.3.0.1 with IH2 and it works flawlessly. The image presentation looks so much better now.
I do have a quick question, what will happen if someone is viewing the site that has javascript disabled?
It opens a new browser window with the LRG image, the next best thing really.
Note: this is the lightbox contrib as I don't use IH2.

Alex, first of all, a big thank you for such a fantastic contribution! It looks absolutely amazing! I am relatively new to Zencart, and at this stage i have not installed the lightbox as yet. This is really due to the reason that (and i have seen this on many sites) that, if the page has not completely loaded, the images will just show up without any of the effects.
I was wondering, when would we expect to see an updated version that resolves this problem? perhaps if page has not completely loaded that it would revert back to the old popups? my main concern is for the few customers out there that are still using dialup.

Is Zen Lightbox capable of being used to do a popup image for attributes. For example, you have a product that is available in blue and red, Main picture, and blue and red as attributes, but when the potential buyer clicks on red or blue, it pops an image of the product in the selected color ??

I have a related question, and im asking you because you have already done wonders with javascript on Zen.
I want to write a Javascript that will add an image of a frame to the product image - so the user can select a frame colour and style.
I have gif images of the frames and was thingking about using the CSS float absolute position to position a floating gif over the image.
is this easy to do?
does anyone have any ideas how this could be done?

I've just installed Lightbox (over IH2), and am very happy with the Lightbox effect.
How do I turn off the mouseover popup of the medium size image that appears when the mouse passes over the small image?
I've searched the fora, but with no useful results.

Hey... I know it was mentioned once back on page one of this forum, but I never saw an answer and it is still a "problem"... on the Reviews page, clicking on the image (and/or "enlarge image" link) doesn't use Lightbox. I'm not sure if there are other places this is appliciable, but how hard is it to add lightbox to any given image enlargement link? It'd be cool if you could include those instructions so that people with various mods can add it themselves without bugging you to support every possible setup.

That is an IH2 feature... nothing to do with light box. But I'll give you a hint... Admin -> Configuration --> Images ---> IH zoom small images ----> "No"Quote:
