Zen Lightbox addon [Support Thread]

If Zen Cart can do this (ie - do what you want, but display images in new browser windows) then it shouldn't be too hard to get Zen Lightbox to do it.

I'll have a look into this and see what happens.

I don't know if this has been mentioned before, but I noticed that when there's a symbol such at as quotation mark in the product name everything gets cut off after it when it's shown in the light box at the bottom of the picture. At least this is happening in 1.3.6. To see, create a product with a " in it and then view the image with the light box.

I have a related question, and im asking you because you have already done wonders with javascript on Zen.

I want to write a Javascript that will add an image of a frame to the product image - so the user can select a frame colour and style.

I have gif images of the frames and was thingking about using the CSS float absolute position to position a floating gif over the image.

is this easy to do?
does anyone have any ideas how this could be done?

I remember having an issues with ' in product names, but didn't know that other symbols were causing issues.

I can certinly look at fixing this in one of the next releases.

Do you have a link to a demo store/product we could look at?

I can't think of an easy way to do this (at the moment). However, you could create all the images with frames on and then display them as additional images on your site. Then Zen Lightbox can be used to scroll through the images.

While it's not exactly what you want it will be much easier to setup.

This is not a question, just a thank you....
This is great...I added what was needed and now it works on all product types including the gift certificate value mod.

I love this, your hard work is greatly appreciated.
By the way using this with 1.3.6...

If they follow directions complely, works fine no problems.

I'm currently working on the next version of Zen Lightbox. I'll add a few new features and make it fully functional with 1.3.6. The current version will work with 1.3.6, but may require some tweaking.

Anyway... glad you're liking it! If you, or anyone else, has any feature requests please let me know.

I would recommend installing Image Handler 2.

See if that helps.

Also, when the lightbox appears on your site it is displayed under the flash banner (at the top). To work round this simply place your flash code (in your header file) inside the following tag...

<div class="flash"> your-flash-code-goes-here </div>

Also make sure that the class flash doesn't exist in any of your css files.

This will basically tell Zen Lightbox to hide any elements with the 'flash' class.

I applied this fix to my tpl_header file and it fixed the issue with the flash banner but now my header sales text isn't displaying except for when the light box is displayed.

How do I turn off the mouseover popup of the medium size image that appears when the mouse passes over the small image?
I've searched the fora, but with no useful results.

Hey... I know it was mentioned once back on page one of this forum, but I never saw an answer and it is still a "problem"... on the Reviews page, clicking on the image (and/or "enlarge image" link) doesn't use Lightbox. I'm not sure if there are other places this is appliciable, but how hard is it to add lightbox to any given image enlargement link? It'd be cool if you could include those instructions so that people with various mods can add it themselves without bugging you to support every possible setup.

That is an IH2 feature... nothing to do with light box. But I'll give you a hint... Admin -> Configuration --> Images ---> IH zoom small images ----> "No"
