I have not had this problem before the latest update---do not get me wrong I am not talking down about the updates...very needed and being only human things do go wrong from time to time.
However this time only Safari and Google were affected as I said now they just have the IH2 image floating at the top of the page so it looks like there is no hover image at all.
About those links you posted...I use model number/names also but I do not add them to the name of the image. I do put the name down below where the model name is listed in the description page but without ANY non letter/number characters.... gl-mavkadress like that
I do use brackets in the actual name of the product to signify what item the textures are for but they do not bother any other aspect of the description or images.
Maybe they need to remove the brackets and only use the model numbers in the proper place and not the images??
Just a thought is all...for we all put our shops the way we like them to be.

I have a couple of specific symptoms - and would like to know if the specific actions will work for me.
I have the lightbox 1.5 working well in default locations in my store. Lightbox opens properly, shows the caption, and the close icon, using IE7. Same as Firefox.
In the EZ pages, the caption is not showing up - which is OK - because i haven't put it there. :-)
I also have a pop up window that shows my graphics - and have installed the lightbox there as well. I'm playing around with the captions - I've finally gotten one caption to show up - but the close button has never shown up here. Any clue why? and how I can get it to show up? the close button shows up on ezpages and on the product info page.
Additionally - I'm having issues with chrome and safari,
pics don't show up in the lightbox.
With chrome - not at all.
With safari - product info page works great, and ez pages works great. I get no image on my special popup page.
I'm so confused after reading the last 50 pages or so of this thread - is it possible to coalesce the two issues into a couple of posts?
Once that's done, I'll be happy to create a document or two for the updates/changes needed. :-)

unzip the the slimbox.zip file and upload the slimbox.php file to \includes\classes\zen_lightbox\, replacing the existing one.
Open the MooTools Core 1.3 file in a text editor. Highlight and copy the code, then paste the code into the two files (removing the code that's in them)
/includes/templates/Your_Template/jscript/
zen_lightbox_mootools_custom.js
zen_lightbox_mootools_default.js

I have this problem as well...unwanted product code to the left of the main image, within the #productMainImage div eg. [wlap-potpourri]"> where wlap-potpourri is the actual product code and the rest is unwanted residual markup. I installed this after I installed IH2, I forgot that they shared a file in modules and have now got the lightbox installed showing in admin bit not really working correctly, when i select the larger image it opens the box but theres no image showing.
How can I correct this?
Will I need to uninstall and reinstall?

Installed the Chrome fixes as noted here but I am having the same issues as ccbearyeh and the lightbox does not work. The picture opens up in the same page now and requires you to back button to the product. Any ideas? I can restore things back to the way they where, but I really would like this to work in Chrome. Mozilla is having major issues with Windows seven and memory leaks.
Has anyone been able to customize the size of the image window that pops up? Some of my uploaded pictures are quite large and they fill the screen with lightbox. Is there a way to limit how large the images are when the open?

I tried mootools 1.3 / slimbox.zip fix several times without success
Then, in a snowy unsleeping night, I found in /includes/templates/CUSTOM_TEMPLATE/jscript/slimbox I had 2 files (maybe from previous unsuccessful tries?):
mootools-release-1.11.slim.js.original.slimbox
and
mootools-release-1.11.slim.js
I tried to rename mootools-release-1.11.slim.js to mootools-release-1.11.slim.js.test.backup and mootools-release-1.11.slim.js.original.slimbox to tomootools-release-1.11.slim.js
Then I tried to re-apply mootools 1.3 / slimbox.zip fix

Hi Guys - i've had a read through some of the back pages but i'm having trouble with this mod. It looks like its going to work - starts to show the lightbox then just opens the image full screen. I've checked, checked and checked again that the files are in the right places.

I've checked the permissions of the files too. I've had another lightbox work before which stopped working.. i thought it was the same as this one but could that be causing the issues?
When i installed the patch i tried it in zc_admin and it said 4 statements run and didn't warn that any didnt. I did also try running it through phpadmin but it said configuration_table does not exist?
Any ideas?

Are you running any other mods aside from Lightbox?What version of ZC are you runing cause it looks like maybe you need to merge both the zen
tpl_modules_main_product_image.php and additional_images with the matching ones in lightbox.

yes they share the additional_images.php file so that one needs to be merged. Just place a ~ at the end of yours that is installed right now then upload the attached one from my working store....see if that helps..let us know.Quote:

SOLVED...had to re-write some of code now it will work either on a fresh install or upgrade.

Hi All, I've taken some time and updated Zen Lightbox to 1.6b
- Compatibility with ZC 1.3.9h
- Migrated to jQuery from MooTools
- Updated to latest slimbox 2.04
- Updated stylesheet to match latest slimbox
I've tested installing it a few times and it seems to be working OK, but I'd like a few other brave souls to uninstall ver1.5 and give it a try before loading it on the Add-Ons page.
Note: I have only tested this with ZC 1.3.9h so if anyone has ver a-g that could test it too that would be great.

I just changed the css file so the prev and next images show without the need to hover.
Removed #lbPrevLink:hover and #lbNextLink:hover and moved the call to images into #lbPrevLink and #lbNextLink like so.....

Sorry if this was already mentioned but I could not seem to find it through all the updates. Can you explain what files need to be changed to resolve the chrome issue (when the lightbox opens and just stalls - no image). I'm using v1.5. Everything seems to work fine except for chrome.
I have a custom deployment on mine and it was a pain to get the lightbox originally installed so a clean install would be a real hassle.

Hm, I have a question that may be a little stupid sounding, however, I'm wondering if this mod would be compatible with the Magic Zoom?
In the new 1.6 version of lightbox, Close on Overlay Click is set to False, but clicking on the overlay does indeed close the lightbox. So is there some funky about the 1.6 code for that setting? I fully removed all 1.5 files and ran uninstall.sql before installing 1.6, so my install of 1.6 should have been completely fresh and clean.
I also noticed that the mouse cursor, over the overlay, changes to a hand (like a hand over a link), whereas in 1.5 the mouse cursor did not change to a link hand over the overlay.
Anyway, developers have any comment about the click on overlay behavior (apparently) not following the setting?
In the new version 1.6 of Lightbox, neither of the following settings in Admin >> Zen Lightbox are functioning/controlling click behavior.
The reason for this appears to be because the new version of the slimbox.php file (\includes\classes\zen_lightbox) does not include the event handlers that are needed for these controls to function.

It works great on fire fox, ie & safari but not on google chrome!

Good to know this as we weren't aware that the Zen Lightbox module even had been recently updated AND had specific code which supported IH2.. The Fual Slimbox module requires some minor file merging to work with IH2, and it was always understood that the same applied to Zen Lightbox..
Unless I am misunderstanding what I see looking at the Zen Lightbox code for the additional_images.php file, and what you posted here, CLEARLY Zen Lightbox does not require any of the IH2 files be merged.. (It looks as if all you have to do is simply overwrite the additional_images.php from IH2 with the one from Zen Lightbox and every thing works together)
Perhaps when time permits we will update the IH2 documentation accordingly to minimize any confusion going forward..

Today I just found that the newer version (v1.6) of Zen Lightbox for 1.3.9 was uploaded last month. So I installed it to my 1.3.9h zencart where image handler2 was already installed.
But here I got a problem! In the product description page, the lightbox function works perfectly! However the gallery mode is not working at all.

I have swatch images for the attributes and additional images(named according to the additional image rule) and they are listed below the main image and product description.
To troubleshoot,
1) I checked into 'Configuration - Zen Lightbox' and 'Gallery Mode' was on.2) I tried uninstall IH2.3) I also tried to merge two 'additional images.php' in 'includes/modules' from 'IH2' and 'Zen Lightbox' but they seem identical using 'Compare plug-in in Notepad++.4) I deleted IH2 image cache.5) Using keyword 'gallery' I look thoroughly into this thread and no answer related to my situation was found!Nothing seems to work for me! :no:
I've currently turned on BOTH IH2 and Zen Lightbox 1.6.
My ultimate goal for the product description page in terms images is to have:
1) additional images inside the lightbox generated by clicking the main image2) swatches to indicate which additional image corresponds to the particular color/print attribute.
Please, anybody, help me on this topic.

yeah, there has been some discussion recently on the IH main thread (DivaVocals) about the additional_images.php file. Lightbox seems to have the IH code built into that file pretty well. You could still merge the two files instead of total overwrite, but I always get complete functionality when overwriting the IH file w/ the Lightbox file.

Works great my shared host auto installed and upgraded my install I had to edit the install.sql to reflect the table names so it could install in phpmyadmin

Daniel, now I'm confused, this file (zen_lightbox.php) was/is present in 1.6b2, and my install of 1.6b2 has always showed 'image 1 of 2" etc. just fine. Am I not understanding something about this most recent post of yours?Quote:
