HI,
I followed the instructions in the readme, and it does not say anything about running an sql and i do not see any sql file.
Here is the download...is this what you got? If so.....
http://www.zen-cart.com/downloads.php?do=file&id=202
Here is the folder in that package with the sql files - I would read carefully in the instructions for this part of the install:
stock_by_attribute\legacy\
This must be the issue...especially if this is your first time installing an SBA mod.
ty for your reply according to his instructions the legacy file is for the people upgrading and for those who want to upgrade the database manually whatever that means. There are no instructions for these files under his clean install instructions. But what does concern me are the instructions to rename includes/modules/your_template to my template name. The only file under this is the pages folder. Was i really supposed to change the name of the pages folder to my template name?
now in my template are 2 folders that have to do with the cart, that seem to be new. However these folders are shown under includes/modules/pages in my main directory. Should these files have been placed in the main includes/modules/pages as they are originally? Or will my system recognize the new folders under my template as the ones they need to use that are not under a pages directory?
I wish I had more time...but I'd recommend you read the zencart template over-ride information in your docs folder within your zencart installation files.
yeah, it seems he has it covered withso if you have done that it should take care of the sql issue.Quote:
Once you have backed up your database and all files are uploaded, go to http://your_store_url/stock_by_attr_install.php to update the database.
Thanks again for your reply. I did run that file and as per the guy above also got a msg the install was successful, but obviously it wasn't. Because I got the same results he did no stock by attributes option in the catalog menu in the admin panel. But thank you soo much for trying to help, it is very sweet of you. Maybe the plugin writer will eventually look at this support thread.
Its ok...been there done that.....and have learned so much here.
If you know how to look at your database with MySql-Front or another sql program....and see if the table: products_with_attributes_stock was created.
If not there...tables should be alphabetical - you can run the sql through the zencart admin > tools > Install SQL Patches.
Normally I run SQL through MySql-Front but his instructions says you can use this zen admin tool to do it.
I recommend that you use this one instead:

I feel like this is one of the greatest and almost essential addon features of zen-cart, but current state of this plugin module is messy and frustrating to say the least. There are way too many versions going around and shoddy implementations of the code that probably shouldn't have been done or put up in the plugin section, but regardless, it is what we are stuck with.
Creinold provided a very beta initial version where he integrated with another plugin (dynamic dropdowns). But dynamic dropdowns itself was also a very poor and beta release with a ton of bugs, which are still presenting themselves in the above SBA plugin link in its current state. I believe the single dropdown option and the multi dropdown are broken and are not practical to be used. Only sequential dropdowns is functional.
However, the above link I provided restores the ability to use radio button options.
I've also addressed most major bugs that have persisted with SBA in the past in the above release, most importantly, the RESTOCK items feature when deleting an order actually works.
It's generally agreed upon that checkboxes, files, and textbox attributes should be options that store owners can integrate into their product listings, but that they should not affect stock levels. I'm still investigating a viable solution to be able to make this ability functional.
As far as the dynamic dropdown bugs, I'll try to address those issues ASAP, and if I can't, then I will simply just rerelease a version of SBA that takes out the dynamic dropdowns completely. Also, I am going to integrate product attribute grids into SBA. Meanwhile, if you need a functional SBA, use the link I provided. I've tested it, and it's the version I use in my live store, so it works. Just be aware of the issues concerning dynamicdropdowns if that's the style of attributes you need to implement in your store.
I agree that textbox, text, and file type of attributes should be excluded from SBA.. However, with regards to checkboxes, I'm not sure that is a completely true statement for all shopowners.. at the VERY least a shopowner should be able to decide when a checkbox, radiobox, or dropdown attribute is created whether or not there will be stock associated with the that particular attribute.. (Some attributes may be OPTIONAL or have a default value and may not have a stock level associated with it) This IMHO would provide a shopowner with GREATER flexibility when managing SBA..
I am really hoping that someone has a beta copy of Ceon's Product Variants that can be finished testing and released in some way. It has most/all of the missing features this module needs to be indispensable for those of us using attributes.
I appreciate your work on this.
I'm wondering if what you are saying here is that the version uploaded to the plugin area here is not a working mod?
here: http://www.zen-cart.com/downloads.php?do=file&id=202
I'm doing a clean install of zencart V1.5.1 then upgrading from 1.3.9h in order to correct alot of problems with an old active store and the ability to use a mod like this is essential. Is the version you are working on in your link based on your experience the best shot I've got? Thanks for any insight.
OH....have to take that back....everything looks great in the admin but my storefront disappeared. Blank. back to the drawing board....
just a file edit in functions_lookups.php.....thanks to the logs > mydebug for pointing that out.
Does this plugin work Easy Populate 4?
I can't say whether the one uploaded really works or not since I've never bothered testing it.
But I know that the one I uploaded in my server works. It's the version I use in my live store which runs 1.5.1, and it addresses all the bugs as stated in my previous post.
Like you, I basically did a clean install of my store on 1.5.1 and added on all essential plugin mods.
Then I ran a database patch from the zen-cart upgrade feature (explained in more detail in the zen-cart docs) to patch my database from 1.3.9h to 1.5.1. Then i went through each of my plugins sql patches and compared them with the 1.3.9h version of that plugin's sql patch. For the most part, the sql commands for the 1.5.1 plugins are the same as 1.3.9h version of the plugins, which is good, minimal work involved.
Concerning SBA in particular...if you compare the sql patch for the 1.3.9h version of SBA to this one, it's quite different, but for my store, it was okay to to run the 1.5.1 sql patch over my existing database without uninstalling the sql patch for the old SBA first. You'll see some errors, but that's due to the fact that some of the tables already exist and the sba 1.5.1 patch is simply trying to create them again, so it's no big deal.
You can get a very clean upgrade path if you do it that way, and of course, my advise is to of course do all this on a test install first, over a test duplicate database.
I have gotten used to some features not working in SBA but this new install does allow me to "save" a change and then sync the quantities.
PROBLEMS: I guess you are aware of this, or maybe it is the sql thing. I'm not sure what the dynamic drop down feature was...never installed that mod...but when I try and use the search I can not get back to the stock by attributes list. I have to log out and back in to get back the list. Otherwise it just shows me what I searched for. If I hit the reset button I just get an empty result and have to log out and in to admin to get my list back.
Also, when I Add Quantity For Product Variant it does not show me the existing stock levels.
Another problem: It is putting the item back in stock but not by attribute from Edit Orders Mod. It does sync the stock back in if I delete an entire order from the customers orders page and choose the check box to restock.
I think you can hit the "search" button again when the textbox is empty and it will show all your items.
Yes when you delete an order it should sync back all attribute quantities. It never worked in prior versions of SBA, but I addressed that issue in this version.
The edit orders mod itself is entirely separate, so it wasn't coded to restock quantities by attributes. That would require editing the code in the edit orders mod files itself, rather than anything to do with SBA files.
There's a laundry list of things to do with this SBA mod as it is, all of which I won't even be able to work on anytime soon as I have my actual zen-cart business to run...so unfortunately I don't think I'll ever be able to address the Edit Orders problem. My only suggestion is that if you have to manually adjust an order's quantities with edit orders, it is to also manually adjust SBA quantities in the SBA menu. I don't imagine this to happen quite often with your business does it? Where you have to manually adjust quantities with edit orders...
Meanwhile, I'll add the "Reset" link bug to the things I'll fix along with the other SBA stuff....with no timetable to complete (sorry).
I did some further comparisons as I have both shops running and you are right, most of that was a problem that has been being worked around already, except for the have to log out thing. If we just avoid those functions and stay on the SBA page the "save" buttons do work, unlike the mod as I had it for 1.3.9h
I'm wondering if you have the stock quantities showing for the item attributes that are out of stock? That does work on the old mod when Configuration > Stock > "Show available stock level in cart when less than order" is set to true. This is not working with the new mod. Wondering if there is some other setting I'm missing?
I do like that the drop downs do not offer an attribute that is out of stock, (new feature in Config > Stock?...awesome!) but will find a way to make sure that is clear to the customer.
That is working now....once a started a new session the stock quantities for the out of stock attribute is working when Configuration > Stock > "Show available stock level in cart when less than order" is set to true.
But I wonder if the old coding that provided that feature to not show the attributes that are out of stock in SBA is overriding my admin setting to show them?
Is there a way to mass populate to SBA?
If you are upgrading you should be able to retain your attributes and stock by importing the stock by attributes table into the new database
If you are looking for a way to batch populate your store look through the forum for a tool called "easy populate"
I'm not...it is just a best-guess solution.
I don't think any of the easy populate plugins would interact with SBA tables.
RoboPhung
Now that I have completely finished all my installations, you are right:
In the old store, you could NOT check out with insufficient stock. Now you can with only the warning to give the customer a heads up....no available stock quantity is showing. Now that I'm done with my installations that feature does not work, even with it selected in Admin >Conf > Stock.Quote:
I think you can hit the "search" button again when the textbox is empty and it will show all your items.
Yes when you delete an order it should sync back all attribute quantities. It never worked in prior versions of SBA, but I addressed that issue in this version.

I am still hesitant to go live with my nice shiny new 1.5.1 shop for this reason but I just have to risk it and try a fix later as we've been down too long.
I believe it has something to do with the order in which I imported the old db as this was working during my test install. I could not run the db upgrade on my old server so I ran it on the new and I've been round and round uninstalling, re-installing the SBA sql and reimporting my db tables trying to get that to work.
I'm tempted to go back to my old SBA version. You are a new zenner? so you don't know if the old ones are compatible. The code looks very similar. Really hate going back to the drawing board. So tired of this mod but it so essential to running a modern cart.
Well..i guess some of these changes need time to propagate somehow...someway....
Because it is working on the store side after testing and retesting....things just started kicking in ????
ANY WHO....WE CAN GO LIVE WITH 1.5.1 YEAH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
No I've been running zen-cart since it's 1.3.9h days so I'm not that new. But I think the issues you're experiencing are more likely due to other configurations that may or may not have been carried over properly since it sounds like you're having some issues with the database upgrading.
But it also sounds like you've got it all sorted out now
Our second day live and I'm seeing something new.
Weird how things take time to propagate... :(
So finally, last night, the low stock warnings were showing and the chosen attribute was showing in the shopping cart.
Today, with a real order, the customer chose an attribute and it did not show in the cart. He had the foresight to tell us in the comments what he wanted.
Also, we just had show up that cool drop down indicated of the attributes that are out of stock right on the product page!
NOW..only if it would carry over the the shopping cart!
Could this have to do with my settings under Admin > Configuration > Stock? I swear this was working yesterday.
Here is what I have:
Check stock level true
Product Info Single Attribute Display Plugin single_dropdown
Product Info Multiple Attribute Display Plugin sequenced_dropdowns
Subtract stock true
Allow Checkout false
Mark product out of stock *Low Stock*
Stock Re-order level 0
Show available stock level in cart when less than order true
Display Images in Admin false
Disable drop down menu when stock equals zero true
Products status in Catalog when out of stock should be set to 1
Show Out of Stock Attributes True
Show Sold Out Image in place of Add to Cart 1
Product Quantity Decimals 0
Show Shopping Cart - Delete Checkboxes or Delete Button 3
Mark Out of Stock Attributes Left
Show Shopping Cart - Update Cart Button Location 3
Show New Products on empty Shopping Cart Page 1
Display Out of Stock Message Line True
Show Featured Products on empty Shopping Cart Page 2
Show Special Products on empty Shopping Cart Page 3
Show Upcoming Products on empty Shopping Cart Page 4
Show Notice of Combining Shopping Cart on Login 1
Prevent Adding Out of Stock to Cart True
changed this to the default:
Product Info Single Attribute Display Plugin ...........single_dropdown CHANGED TO multiple_dropdowns and it shows the attribute in the shopping cart but it will let me put out of stock attributes in the cart.
I guess if I have to turn off:
Show Out of Stock Attributes True CHANGE TO False
Single dropdown is broken. It's a problem with dynamic dropdowns, which for both better and for worse, is integrated with this version of SBA. Multi dropdowns will work, and so will sequenced dropdowns. You might have missed it, but it's been mentioned several times by me and others in this thread.
I've only tested as far as adding OOS products to the shopping cart, but then the customer is not allowed to initiate the checkout process so long as there are OOS products in the shopping cart (which are indicated as OOS when viewing the shopping cart).
Sorry, I have not tested disabling the ability to add OOS items from the product listing itself, so I can't offer much input into that.
Yes....I did read that but I didn't get it I guess.....thanks for all your work on this.....
This was asked awhile back, but my attribute images disappeared when I finished my install of RoboPhungs wonderful effort on this mod for 1.5.1.
Still haven't got mine working again but one place to check is Configuration > Attribute Settings > Enable Attribute Images: true.
Also, in the Zen manual: "Attributes of option type Read Only cannot have images associated with them. Even if you have defined an image for this type of attribute, it will not be displayed."
I'd be interested to know if anyone else noticed their attribute images disappearing with this latest version.
This addon allows products which are out of stock to be placed on a cart. Then when you try to purchase the cart the screen just refreshes with out any error message. If you have multiple products on the cart you cannot tell which product is causing the refresh.
Has anyone been able to get this addon to work properly?
Not 100 per cent.
Robophung's posts have the best information as they are striving to perfect this mod.
We are still playing with the settings under Config > stock and this issue. Most of the time, if the customer is patiently moving back and forth between the product details page and the shopping cart, the page refreshes to show the out of stock count...but not always. Most of the time, they can't check out...but not always and we've got to settle down and figure out exactly what conditions bring this on.
Just to make sure...are you downloading the version I linked from my webserver in a post on this thread? Or are you using the one "officially" updated on the plugins section? The one in the plugins section is no good.
Also, did you make sure you don't have any other plugins that modify the same files as SBA? And if you do, are you quite certain that you merged the codes properly and successfully?
I'm puzzled as to why Athena is having issues with the shopping cart indicating OUT OF STOCK when there really is not enough stock. But perhaps I'll contact you directly this weekend and you can provide me with a link to your zencart store and I'll look at the broken behavior that you're describing.
I will also work on getting this release cleaned up, I'm going to take out the single dynamic dropdown option, because I've looked at the code in detail and I can see why it doesn't work...and to get it working requires quite a bit of additional code, probably more than I have time to contribute toward.
Additionally, I'm going to integrate a tweaked version of product attribute grids to this release, and then formally submit the plugin into the plugin section so that everyone can see it, and hopefully, this version will have all major bugs ironed out.
We plan to be in all day Saturday and will put the cart through its paces to try and isolate the conditions that bring on our issues. Thanks so much for working on this mod...it is so valuable a part of zencart's plugin offerings. Looking forward, also, to the grid application. Like the way that looks on your site.
Stevesh and Country Charm Thank you... Thank you.... Thank you!!!!
Stevesh you were right! When I installed zen cart somehow it created an admin folder named adminurrhtcqq, I also had an admin folder. I moved all the files from the admin folder to the adminurrhtcqq folder and wala I now have menu items!!! I am sooo happy I don't know how to thank you guys! You are the best!! Now I just need to test it. I will keep my finger crossed! I need to try to figure out why I wasn't given the option to rename my own admin folder so this wouldn't have happened.
I am forever grateful to you both, and you are greatly appreciated!
Sorry stupid question from a newbie here. I have this plugin installed, so far, but since I'm using the stupid CEON URI mapper, my .htaccess file is all funky. Translation: when I go to http://my_store_url/stock_by_attr_install.php, I get a 404 error (page not found). I know there are multiple targets here, but any clue how to help me here? Thanks you guys!
I have never used this but....
Shouldn't there be an "admin" fiolder in there somewhere?
http://my_store_url/MyAdminFolder/stock_by_attr_install.php
and to add to this.. If the "stupid" (really??) Ceon URI Mapping is installed the .htaccess file it uses is for the store ROOT not the admin folder.. Sounds to me like the OP is having installation issues all the way around..
As an aside.. the OP should refrain from calling modules "stupid".. Makes folks NOT want to help..
Thanks for the help. I'm not the OP, but you've been so kind and helpful. Thank you.
So what were you doing then if you weren't replying to my post? A lecture is helping me fix a .htaccess file? Again, thank you for helping me fix it. Well done. And creinold was the OP. But you're right - we should take this thread down the path of arguing about what OP means. Well done.
Hi everyone,
I would like to thank all the developers who are working on the SBA module. All previous releases where full of bugs, but this module is really getting mature. I installed it on a test ZC 1.5.1 shop and it's already doing what it's supposed to be. I really like the sequenced dropdown, since it isn't displaying any combination of attributes that are out of stock! One minor point: when there isn't any combination in stock, it would be great if the dropdown boxes where saying something like "nothing in stock". Now they only saying "first choose color" "next choose size". When there isn't any stock customers can't click on anything and will be in doubt.
I found some other bug too:
When using multiple attributes and choosing single dropdown as option on Product Info Multiple Attribute Display Plugin (configuration-->stock) there's indeed only a single drop down with the two attributes, e.g. color, size = red, small - Out of stock.
When you put something in your cart (doesn't matter if it's out of stock or not), the attributes (and attributes stock) isn't shown and the cart is thinking that there's an product without any attribute in there.
Again: thank you so much for all the efforts in making zen cart better. In my opinion it's a real pity that there still isn't a good stock by attributes solution.
This is a must have add on , however I am having one relatively minor problem with it,a problem which I hope someone can help me with.I am using zen cart 1.5.1 with FEC,and I am using the latest stock with attributes from Robophung.
I am looking for the code that governs admin behaviour after a product has had a quantity edited. On one of my sites , after a quantity is edited in Admin, and the Submit button pressed, the page returns to the Stock with Attribute listing for that particular product.
This is time saving when you have about 1000 products, one of which has about 30 variations.
But I cannot duplicate this on another site. When I alter a quantity, the page returns to give the complete listing of all the products with attributes, and I have to perform a search to get back to the product whose stock quantities I want to edit.
Any ideas anyone?
When I don't get an answer,I know I've asked a dumb question. So , better check my install. What I'd done was to fail to overwrite admin/includes/classes/ pwas.php from the OTHER pwas addon. In case it helps anyone, this,Robophungs updated Creinold add-on ,does work in 1.5.1. If you install it properly.
Hello,
I am a new user to the Zen-Cart software and SBA. I am having some difficulties setting up my SBA Alpha on a ZenCart 1.51 and having it display some needed information.
What I have is a store that I am trying to sell vacations and other items on. I have the SBA setup correctly (it seems) but what I am trying to do is have it display the quantity available for each attribute next to the option.

Thank you in advance for any assistance.
Hi everyone,
I'm not sure if this is a "feature" or I have something wrong somewhere :-S
My SBA is working a treat for products with attributes (eg. it warns people if they add more than the available items to their cart).
However, I notice that products without attributes behave differently:
1) It will allow the customer to add in excess of the available quantity of a product to the cart without warnings.
2) Customers can not progress from shopping cart to checkout if they have any products with quantities that exceed the available (as above). Clicking on Checkout returns them to the shopping cart without any message.
Note: Of course if I set Allow Checkout = True it allows the customer to Checkout.
Am I doing something wrong? Does SBA on work correct when _all_ products have attributes?
Regards,
Troy.
We have mostly non-attribute items up to about 1200 total. About thirty of those have attributes. We have RoboPhungs version installed and are still working on a sync quantities issue; However, everything else seems to be working very well in 1.5.1.Quote:

The sync issue for us is currently being solved by just pushing the "sync all quantities" link every day on the Config > SBA page, other wise, customers can check out without the help of a warning, only if the number of product with the chosen attribute is less than the total quantity of the product. Some weirdness that RoboPhung is working on and may just be some install issue on our end.
Check your install, (as if you haven't...but check it again anyways). Also, because single drop down does not work, check that under Config > Stock you are using:
Quote:
Check stock level true
Product Info Single Attribute - multiple_dropdowns
Product Info Multiple Attribute - sequenced_dropdowns
Hi Athena,
Thanks for the advice, I've just uninstalled "stock by attributes" and installed RoboPhungs version which seems to be working perfectly.
Troy.
Actually...I forgot to mention, when I uninstall "stock by attributes" and installed creinold_SBA5.1_alpha_version1.5_for_zencart_V1.5.0 I got an error with this SQL statement:
INSERT INTO `configuration` VALUES (1295, 'Disable drop down menu when stock equals zero', 'sba_zero_disable ', 'true', 'Set drop down menu to automatically disable when the attribute quantity equals zero:', 9, 6, '2010-07-25 15:29:27', '2010-07-25 14:44:56', NULL, 'zen_cfg_select_option(array(''true'', ''false''),');
The error:
#1062 - Duplicate entry '1295' for key 'PRIMARY'
Looking at my database I can see this entry:
(1295, '<hr>Icons type', 'MODULE_SHIPPING_OZPOST_ICONS', 'jpg', 'Different icon types for different needs. What''s yours?', 6, 35, NULL, '2013-03-03 15:01:17', NULL, 'ozpost::ozp_cfg_select_option(array(''none'', ''jpg'', ''png'', ''gif''), ');
Does the key 1295 matter? Is it directly referenced?
Troy.
JS Web has apparently taken over the care and feeding of all of Ceon's (by the late Conor Kerr) modules including the much anticipated commercial Ceon module called Product Variants module Conor was working on up until his untimely passing. Keep an eye on the JS Web website for the official release. In the meantime to learn more about the Ceon Product Variants module you can check this link out: http://ceon.net/software/business/ze...oduct-variants
Hi,
is there already a fix to show stock amount on items with variables?
ie.
Item 1:
In stock 16
Select:
White (4 in stock)
Red (5 in stock)
Green (7 in stock)
I have a newly upgraded 1.5.1 Zen Cart with this module installed. It is not letting me have more than one attribute per product. If I set up two - say one for color and the other for size - neither works. The drop downs are there, but there are no options in them.
Example: http://sandyslace.com/index.php?main...roducts_id=655
I hope this is something simple and someone can enlighten me quickly on what my (hopefully minor) error is!

Forgive the possible off the cuff response, so with the new 1.5.1 upgrade, did you incorporate the changes that had to be made to get the mod to workin the first place? Just prior to upgrading, they worked, but now they don't? Are you able to tell if there are quantities of items that have that mixture when in the admin panel? Before adding the second attribute to the list, what series of quantities existed for the attribute(s)? Did you remove quantities of only having the single attribute when assigning a second attribute? With your upgrade, is all that you changed the code in the background, or have you reentered all of your items? If you have reentered your items, then if I remember correctly thereis basically a sequence that should be followed about adding the various attributes, unless I'm thinking about a different/equivalent mod.
A little more info may help, but hope that you're able to resolve the issue.
I uploaded the module files and the SQL patch. The old 1.3.8 version of this site was using the old version SBA. And the options with the products are the ones that were on the old site. They were imported with the database, which was then upgraded (with ZC_install). Yes - just prior to upgrading they worked. Yes, the attribute combinations are in the admin. We tried deleting attributes on certain products and then re-entering them. The result is the same as before. The moment one of a second attribute is added, all options disappear on the public side of the site. They are all visible in the admin. Yes, we removed quantities of only having the single attribute when assigning a second attribute - and then it all disappeared again when we added them back.
If I read correctly, the process of upgrading from version 1.3.8 to 1.5.1 was by simply using the zc_install. Please forgive me for asking, was there any modifications made to the files (potentially core files) before going "live"? It sounds like the data is there to be displayed, but the logic is not correctly there to present the results.
The database was imported into a new 1.5.1 Zen Cart. There are other modules, but I checked for a conflict before uploading the SBA files. I also tried re-uploading *all* the SBA files today - just to see if the problem went away (thereby revealing that I missed a file merge). It didn't. So no other mods are interfering with the SBA mod's functions, logically, based on that test today.
The other modules on this site are:
Customer Tax Exempt
Multi-Cross Sell
Image Handler 4
Zen Lightbox
Dual Pricing - Wholesale Pricing
Monthly Sales and Tax Summary Report
ZX Slideshow
Column Layout Grid
FedEx
So, have you tried going back to create new attributes that were not in the database and assign them to a "new" product(one that didn't previously have an attribute) to see if there is anything in the process/odd leftover data from the existing attributes? I keep thinking back to a problem that I had with the attribute module that I've installed (version 1.5 of zencart) to be honest, I believe it was this mod, but at the time I was trying multiple mods to do the same thing asi was just starting to use Zen Cart. Anyways, I seem to remember that the sequence of adding the option names and values can have an effect on what is displayed. Ohh, also trying to remember if there was some bugs found in the "early" code that are updated in this forum, but not in the download. Hmm, maybe can find if there are any code repairs in this lengthy forum. I'll let you know if I find anything.
Yes, I tried adding two kinds of attributes to a test product: http://sandyslace.com/index.php?main...oducts_id=1557 and I added two options to each attribute. They are not working - just like the imported products.
But did you go back even further and create two (or four) new options to be added to an attribute? I'm still looking through the forum to find something about this issue. I know I have seen something similar either in this mod or a similar. I had initially installed 1.3.9 then upgraded to 1.5.0, but hadn't installed a stock by attributes add-on until after having 1.5.0 installed. I know I had some early growing pains and even now have to occasionally enter the mysql database to resequence atttributes associated with an item. Depending on what I had done to mess it up.
So I didn't find the instruction I was thinking about as far as the sequence of adding the things that make up the attribute, but as I seemed to remember around page 20 of this forum, there is some discussion about improvements that were made to get this mod to work in 1.5.1. Check out http://www.zen-cart.com/showthread.p...v1-5-0)/page20 and on. Also might consider adding in a mod that let's you look at global variables when loading a page. It may be that a sql lookup is not feeding the data to the page to be displayed. Around page 22 I think it was is a discussion of downloading files that were "known" to work with 1.5.1. Or hopefully someone else can chime in with a solution or something I have overlooked in asking.
I just did. Deleted the existing attributes from the test product, and created wo new ones (Test 1 and Test 2). Added two brand new options to each. But again, they are not there: http://sandyslace.com/index.php?main...oducts_id=1557
One of those pages talked about running an upgrade sql from version 1.3.9(some sub rev), I don't know what that sql update does to be able to say if it should or should not be run.
I did remember the app to look at all of your variables supplied to the page is called super globals. It would allow you to see the values of variables being supplied.
Those initial values that default in your selection, where do those come from? Are they some form of default text? I usually create an option that is default but display only which is pulled from one of my option values. I thought I remembered someone commenting about implementing multiple items that way.
Btw, I went ahead and tied some attributes to one of our products. (Doesn't make sense per se, but...). You can see it at http://www.pugsugottasave.org/shop/I...Soap-Stone-Red
I did not tie the second option of the first attribute to the second option of the second attribute. Also, I'm not sure if I had changed the code to display the number available only for the first attribute or if that is something automatically done. I do know that I coded so that if I have an insane quantity available then not to display the number available. (We don't run in the red on quantities, so had to have a way to have an "unlimited" quantity. )
So I was able to add two attributes with the mod I have installed, but may need to back track to tell exactly which mod I installed to do this. I also don't think that there are enough differences between 1.5.0 and 1.5.1 to break yours.
Seattleannie go back to page 17. I didn't dig into the link, but supposedly there is a mod that is needed to get dropdowns to work in zencart 1.5.1. Also there and around are some other discussions about upgrading from legacy software and others trials and tribulations with this mod. (Fyi, if you didn't already know, this is a tricky mod to program/work with.) Also the reason I'm not sure which mod I used in my cart is that at the time I had downloaded like three different mods, expanded them in my workimg directory, but only installed one of them. I believe it is this mod though, because of the dropdown listing of "products with attributes stock" that is in my admin panel.
Yeah, that was the post I was referring to. So, I decided to try to download the 1.5.0 version of this mod that is in post 1 of this thread, and try to compare the files provided with the files I have installed on my cart. When I got into the includes/classes directory, the downloaded version has five pad_ files that my cart does not. So, unless there is some instruction later on then unfortunately I do not have this exact version installed. There are a lot of other similar files, but I have stopped my download/comparison at this point because of the extreme difference between the two. Now, that said it does seem like several versions of stock by attributes are based off of a single version of the old version of the mod. That may mean that the data sets could be easily transferred/upgraded, but I am not sure, as I started off with a relatively new cart when I finally got around to installing an attributes mod.
Makes me wonder why I went ahead and flagged this forum to follow. I hadn't posted any questions so there must have been some reason, but I don't remember why I did that a year ago. I'm totally not sure why I did. Now I need to figure out what mod I actually do have installed so if something were to go wrong... Well don't want to think about that.
Wondering if perhaps including dynamic dropdowns might fix your issue. Only thing, is that they say that first should have stock by attributes working first. (It seems that it does for your single attribute, but not for multiple. So is that an indication that it works? Well.... Sort of?) It may be that there is a limitation on the software of having multiple attributes? I'm still puzzled about what I have installed. At one point I started taking good notes, but I've had a number of computer issues for one reason or another and have not worked from a single location, but many so my information from the early days is spread throughout... I do hope that the functionality that you had can be restored. If you find a solution, please be sure to post it here to help any (and it seems that there are many) that are upgrading from such an old version of Zen-Cart.
Okay, so I looked through the early posts again to see what other links were included. I thought I had remembered specifically installing a creinold version of stock by attributes. Low and behold there were two links to two different posts about it, and the dates line up with when I was considering installing a version of stock by attributes. (Early to mid part of 2012 in preparation for a golf event that we were hosting.) So, I followed the path a little and though there may be more past this link, the "next" link about stock by attributes was: http://www.zen-cart.com/showthread.p...81#post1109281
I hope that this works with your existing/backed up database, so that you do not need to reenter your stock. DivaLocals a few posts before that one sums up the issue. There are at least 4 different versions of stock by attributes that people have posted, each with a slightly different capability; however, unfortunately not "triggered" by admin settings.
Maybe it is difficult to include admin settings (I know there is a mod that I would like to do to user tracking that would incorporate at least one admin setting), but being able to turn on or off functionality on the fly is much better than having to go and mod a file everytime something is to be tested. (Ie difference of using ones cell phone versus having to be at a dedicated desktop computer.). Again hopefully because it seems that the versions presented in the above link are supposedly based on the same original code, then hopefully the existing database structure will work with only potential additional fields necessary.
Upon further review, it seems that the pad_ files are associated with dynamic dropdowns. So... I am somewhat surprised at myself (considering how little php and ZenCart work I had done when I implemented this option), but I think I may have removed reference to dynamic dropdowns at the time, or perhaps I hadn't fully implemented it. I'll continue with my comparison to see what is different between what I have installed and what is provided in this forum. If I may ask, (perhaps again) could you provide a link to the version you downloaded? From what I have found Creinold has discontinued development of this mod because the location he was supporting has moved on to something else. He has however provided a link in his signature (click on his name and then look in the signature portion of his profile) to his most recent merge of stock by attributes and dynamic dropdown.
I am still wondering though why in the link you provided several messages back, there was an entry in each of the two drop downs, but it was indicated that the dropdown did not work?! So was there something that was supposed to be in addition to some sort of default text? And how was the default text created if it is default text? (I.e., as I said before, I will typically incorporate a text value as an option value. Then in the attributes controller the text value is assigned as default and for display only. This will prevent the item from being added to the cart unless an alternate option from the dropdown is selected.) I remember someone saying somewhere else that you might run into this type of problem (selections not showing) if the correct "data type" for the selectable attribute is not picked.
Thanks for all your help, mc12345678. At this time, since my client needs option attributes more than tracking stock quantities with SBA, I will uninstall SBA from her site.
Just throwing this out there...don't have time to read through all this latest dialogue, but I've had just about every version of this mod installed and upgraded to 1.5.1 with the modified version of creinolds SBA as currently being worked on by zen member Robophung. (Search all his posts - Most problem free in my opinion)
The dropdowns in the link provided - which has changed sine this post - seem to indicate to me that a setting in Admin>Configuration>Stock > show out of stock attributes is set to false and perhaps you don't have any in stock? That's how my drop downs behave under those conditions.
I've found the Robophung version problem free-until now.Stock by Attributes is a must have I think, especially in competitive market sectors. But I do have a problem now.I have installed Dynamic Filter for 1.5 on a 1.5.1 site that already has Robophungs Stock by Attributes.Filtering can be a very effective navigation tool. The problem is that Dynamic Filter depends on options and option values. These can be added to suit. For instance,if I want to be able to filter a category by gender I add an option name Gender, and option values, men, women, and then assign one value or the other to the product.Works great, except of course every one of a 1000 plus products has to be assigned one value or the other. The attribute can be hidden on the product page with css,so far so good. But Stock by Attributes won't allow the product to show up in the filter results unless the new option is assigned stock.Thats going to get messy. This happens even if I make the option read only, and however I adjust stock settings.Could I add something somewhere to make Stock by Attributes ignore read only options?
So, my answer may not be liked as it is not code, but if I understand the question you are wondering about a process that may actually assign the desired attributes to the desired product(s).
I would think that this would be an almost serious undertaking as a result of the following:
1. Would need to address adding defined/existing attributes to an existing product without an attributes.
2. Would need to address adding new attributes to an existing product without an attributes.
3. Would need to address adding defined/existing attributes to a new product without an attributes.
4. Would need to address adding new attributes to a new product without an attributes.
5. - 8. Repeat the above 4 with consideration that each has one or more existing attributes.
Each of these may have some equivalency to the other (Ie., overall process of adding a new product and a new attribute); however, consideration would need to be given to each of the tables that make up the characteristic being added/modified.
Perhaps someone else may correct me, this question is along the lines of using an alternate plugin such as mass populate, but could also inspire a brand new plugin/modification to this one.
It would seem that once each of the above four/eight routines were addressed, that any combination of those routines could be run based on a query of the database when acting on the data. The next thing to consider is what would feed this mass populate utility, is it a file or a series of onscreen selection? Would one want to add one attribute to multiple products, combinations of attributes to multiple products, etc...
It may be that other mods closely approach (or perform) this action and can be expanded upon to incorporate feeding into stock by attributes (keeping in mind any differences between the various stock by attributes addins that are out there), or at least they may provide a template to do so.
Wow!
Product: Picture Frames
Sizes defined as attributes: 2"x3", 5"x7", 6"x9", 8"x10" and 10"x12", with different prices, and inventory levels for each size.
Multiply that by 125 different varieties of picture frames with the same size attributes. How long do you think it would take to manually input and or update, for new arrivals, discontinued items and etc?
I think it is a must have as a function for product that use attributes as such.
So, to answer the last question first, longer than I personally would want to take if by manually adding you mean through the use of the admin panel.
Now, it's interesting that today I happened to be looking at adding the mass populate plugin to our site. There is an option within that program to import "basic attributes" as it says in the first post (Version 4) (http://www.zen-cart.com/showthread.p...Support-Thread). So, could recommend using that to first import all of the attributes to all of the new products, then (and assuming that you have a version of stock by attributes that doesn't display attributes that are out-of-stock) could use applicable SQL statements within your database admin program or (worst case) from within the admin panel running the SQL statements in the admin area to populate the quantities for each of the attributes and or prices. (Also depends on how the prices vary).
I would agree that there is a benefit to having some similar store population utility. I also understand that it would/could be complex to do. One might ask how often such a utility would be used to the extent described. For some frequently (monthly, quarterly, annually etc.), for others maybe once on initial store setup.
Also would need to consider the method of input to the source that does the populating. (Ie is it faster to just enter that information as described above/before or to populate some file that would be uploaded?)
I have been using EP4 for months now, and it is a dream come true!
It works perfectly for general product population, and adding and attaching attributes prices, size, color and etc to the products. But EP4 does and cannot handle, import and export attribute inventory levels; as Zen Cart core does not address and keep track of attribute inventory.
So really, you're in the position that you just need to address the inventory part of the attributes. That solution I think is easier than what I originally perceived. I would think that with even the combination of that program and stock by attributes, could quickly formulate the sql statements that would do the work (for the in the bind situation). Basically would need to identify what tables and data to incorporate the needed keys to make it work.
So basic concept, if easypopulate can provide or takes the productid and the attribute information (whether a number or description), then using something like excel (because that is what I know can create strings of text in a spreadsheet) can make generic sql functions that would populate the database with the desired stock. I understand that excel is possibly not the preferred application to do such spreadsheet work, but the company has gotten their hooks in me. :P
Any rate, that would be a solution to get you where you need to based on current demand, but still some work that "may" be better/easier with a populating application.
I would have to look at the inputs and outputs of that application and compare to the data to what is needed for stock by attributes to give a more detailed answer as this is pseudocode at the moment
EP4's Attrib-Basic-EP exports and can re-import the following fields:
v_products_model
v_products_options_type
v_products_options_name_1
v_products_options_values_name_1
I thought it might help!
Okay, so I don't know which version you have installed, but Version 4.0.22 - Beta 6-10-2012 includes Detailed Products Attributes (detailed multi-line) option which downloads the data I was referring to: v_products_attributes_id, v_products_id, v_options_id, v_options_values_price
The version of Stock by Attributes that I ended up installing (still not sure if it was a Creinold version or more recent, has a data table called:
products_with_attributes_stock (of course need to consider any prefix when addressing table names).
This table has 5 columns to include data:
stock_id
products_id
stock_attributes
quantity , and
sort
stock_id is autogenerated and is the key for the data table. That means that if an item is not already tracked by products_with_attributes_stock then adding a new item to the list will give it a new stock_id. If the item and its intended attributes is already tracked than the stock_id would be needed to be able to revise the stock for that set of attributes. (I would suggest for your situation that the new stock of items not have any existing stock quantities assigned through products_with_attributes to simplify the following process.)
Now regarding the import of all of your items, here is how I would suggest the quickest (also dirtiest) method of populating it.
I believe you could use easy populate to add all possible/anticipated attributes to the items you are adding. (ie color and size if those are the two attributes in question), it also may be easiest when adding those attributes to incorporate the price associated with the different sizes, and if "color" (aluminum, wood, painted, etc...) have different prices, then when adding those attributes to include those costs as part of populating them.
Then, use easypopulate to export the Detailed Products Attributes. Take this data and place it into your preferred spreadsheet (essentially removing the delimiters throughout). Then to populate the products_with_attributes, you will need to pull out the attributes numbers (v_products_attributes_id) that when grouped together identify the attributes applicable to a single item and concatenate them with a comma. Place that information into a single row of data such that you have product_id and stock_attributes adjacent to each other, then the next column would be your stock (quantity), and if desired a sort order. (I'm not entirely sure that the sort order is respected, but I have made efforts to assign one as desired.
Then you can create a generic SQL statement that concatenates with the data to the left of it. This sql statement would be to populate the products_with_attributes_stock data table.
Next would be to either export just that column or copy the column to a new sheet and export it so that the delimiter is a return/carriage return/enter.
Then import/paste that file into either your mySQL admin panel or Zen-Cart's admin panel->Tools->Install SQL Patches and voila, your data table is populated.
A similar process could likely be used to plus up any quantity, with the appropriate SQL statement to add to instead of replace or create a new value. The only thing there, is that I think the stock_id would need to be known/obtained so that there is only one line item of stock by attributes for each set of attributes for the stock.
So, regarding the concatenation of the applicable attributes: if there were two products having two attribute types, each with two attributes:
(X,Y), (A, B) and (1, 2) respectively, then it would make sense to have stock in X-A1B1, X-A2B1, X-A1B2, X-A2B2, Y-A1B1, Y-A2B1, Y-A1B2, and Y-A2B2; however, not X-A1A2, X-B1B2, Y-A1A2, Y-B1B2, etc...
The attributes data dump shows each attribute type that is assigned to each product. So the data dump would contain something similar to:
X A 1
X A 2
X B 1
X B 2
Y A 1
Y A 2
Y B 1
Y B 2
By creating a new column that would associate the line to attribute 1, and attribute 2, it may be easier to identify the rows that contain attributes to be concatenated and then iterate through all products and combinations of ids that would identify a line item that would support import into the products_with_attributes table.
That's essentially what I was referring to before about building on other data.
In converse, if the products with attributes table is populated with all of the combinations of attributes after the attributes have been added to all of the products, then the products_with_attributes table could be exported, populated with the quantities, then reimported either by sql statement or straight table update with the new data (stock_id would be exported and therefore the quantities could be replaced.) That would address modification of quantities of items "in bulk".
Several ways to approach, depends on where you are at, how much work is involved to get you where you want to go, experience, etc...
Some things discussed above may be different depending on the implementation of stock by attributes that is used. For example, I seem to recall that the sequence of numbers associated with stock_attributes can be important in that the first attribute(s) are such that they are the ones that offer choices, while the remaining attributes may be just input blocks.
FYI - I do use Detailed Products Attributes (detailed multi-line)from EasyPopulate 4.0, downloadable from Github https://github.com/chaddro/EasyPopulate-4.0. Support thread is http://www.zen-cart.com/showthread.p...Support-Thread. (BB LINK function does not work here)
My problem is that, I do not know any thing about SQL statements!
98% of time any given product have 2-6 size attribute values with different prices and quantities.
I can get around code (an old programmer) with no knowledge SQL and SQL statements!
What you have stated makes sense, but I need a little more clear direction. Thank you.
So, was thinking about this some more... Based on having only a single attribute (size) for the product that has multiple selections within, the first question is, if you assigned three sizes to a product, and then populated the stock such that there was one that indicated a zero quantity, would the customer see the third option on your site, or would they only see two options available? If the answer is yes they only see two options, then the following will probably be the quickest easiest way to accomplish your add in.
Look at your total number of sizes available, regardless of to what product they are to be assigned.
Use EP to add that sized attribute to every product. (ultimately this should not be difficult/time consuming as if there are 7 sizes in the entire grouping, then every item will have 7 records to be created and through a spreadsheet program you can use relational equations to produce the results repetatively.)
Ideally all items that are of size 1 are the same price, all items of size 2 are the same price (but different than size 1), etc... If not, then would recommend populating that field in some methodic manner. Perhaps 80% of them are the same, so populate 100% with that price and then go fix the 20% that are different.
Download the attribute information as performed before focusing on just the items that are to be populated. Again, because you only have a single attribute to address, the remaining portion of this will be simpler than previously described.
Create a new column to populate the quantity for that item's attribute. (This part may take a while depending on what you have to do to populate it.) Again assuming that if an attribute has a zero quantity that the attribute will not be shown to the customer, then assign 0 for values you do not have, and assign positive numbers for those you do have.
Access your SQL database, open the products_with_attributes table, identify the exact name of that table (remembering there may be a prefix to that table name and all table names in your database) this will be needed for your SQL statement that is to be generated next. Also identify the fields that makeup your table, noting the entire name including any underscores etc...
If I am correct the general structure of the table has remained the same, it has been all about how it is populated and operated on that has changed throughout the various versions of stock by attribute. If they are different than I previously posted, may need to modify the following approach.
Assuming that no data exists in your products_with_attributes table that include the product numbers (product_id) for the items/attributes just added, then the following SQL statement can be generated concatenating the data that is in the sheet produced from the dump before.
Your SQL statement will be to Insert a new row of data to the (prefix_)products_with_attributes table assigning the row's column data equal to a value in the row of your spreadsheet. Future SQL statements using essentially this process would be Update or Replace statements to increase the quantities of the items in the (prefix_)products_with_attributes table.
INSERT INTO (prefix_)products_with_attributes (products_id, stock_attributes, quantity, sort) VALUES (`column1`, `column2`, `column3`, `column4`);
Note: (prefix_) would be replaced by whatever the prefix for the table is. column1 would be the value associated with products_id (v_products_id) which would be in your table, column2 would be the stock_attributes (v_products_attributes_id), column3 the quantity in the column created above, and column4 would be the sort order that possibly also should be added, but could be set as 10 for the first attribute, 20 for the second, etc..)
In Excel, if I had v_products_id in column A, v_products_attributes_id in column B, the quantity in column C, and a sort order in Column D, with the first row of data in row 2 (Titles in row 1), then in E2 I would put the following:
="INSERT INTO products_with_attributes (products_id, stock_attributes, quantity, sort) VALUES (`"&A2&"`, `"&B2&"`, `"&C2&"`, `"&D2&"`);"
Then I would copy this down to the end of the list of items/attributes to be added.
I would then copy and paste column E to a new worksheet and export the data to a CSV file (to support text capturing the data to feed back into the database). with the delimiter being an enter or carriage return or similar.
Then as said before either copy all of that into the applicable space to populate the tables (admin panel or mySQL admin area).
As a side note and depending on how you get your data together, it is possible to have a single SQL statement that adds multiple rows at once, the SQL statement could be:
="INSERT INTO products_with_attributes (products_id, stock_attributes, quantity, sort) VALUES (`"&A2&"`, `"&B2&"`, `"&C2&"`, `"&D2&"`), (`"&A3&"`, `"&B3&"`, `"&C3&"`, `"&D3&"`);"
This statement would add two rows, each additional entry has to be separated by a comma and have the same sized groupings throughout.
There are alternate ways to formulate the statement as well if that doesn't work on your server. (Ie. do the above work for a row or two, try it out and then get into a groove of updating... :) )
Unfortunately the time had elapsed for me to modify the message again; however, the above statement was incorrect when performed by the majority of people using Excel. More correctly:
I would then copy column E and paste (paste special->values) in a new worksheet and then export the worksheet to a CSV file (to support text capturing the data to feed back into the database). (At least with Excel (again there is a more preferred/consistent application recommended for CSV export) this will place each row (SQL Statement) on its own line and the contents of the file can then be copied/imported into the SQL processor of choice.)
Lastly, if the above is successful, the next issue would be managing the quantities of stock available. I do not recall where in this thread or perhaps it is in a similar thread related to stocking by attributes, but there have been ways posted about how to obtain stock data for existing quantities. If that data can be obtained with the stock_id, then a similar process could be used to populate the additional stock through a SQL statement.
UPDATE `(prefix_)products_with_attributes` SET `quantity` = `quantity` + `(new quantity obtained from spreadsheet or other source)` WHERE `stock_id` = `(the stock_id value for the row in question)`;
Note: Above, the use of parantheses () is to indicate that the value is calculated/obtained from somewhere such as a spreadsheet. The parentheses are not to be included in the actual statement. Also the use of single quotes around a number is not mandatory, but seems to be recommended.
I would recommend also that if the above is successful that questions related to development of an export option of the products_with_attributes table be addressed on the easypopulate thread. A response may be to self develop which may be possible using the existing code/instruction to handle this situation, but that aspect is more about EP than it is about stock by attributes... It just happens that in this case EP became a tool to support stock by attributes.
Good luck!
Is it just me? I haven't seen anything about making the actual input page collapsible for each product?
There just seems to behind having all the product open to one huge scrolling page.
Seems to make more sense if each product would be collapsible so that you click it to open it?
And why doesn't it sort by input?
This seems to be more trouble than it is worth!
Very difficult to enter all 24 attributes for one product when it doesn't display them in the input page with any semblance of order?
Right now it comes up (For example)
Stock ID Variant Quantity in Stock Edit Delete
20 Color: Black 30 Edit Quantity Delete Variant
Size:: Small
32 Color: Red 30 Edit Quantity Delete Variant
Size:: X- Small
21 Color: Black 30 Edit Quantity Delete Variant
Size:: Medium
36 Color: Red 30 Edit Quantity Delete Variant
Size:: X-Large
26 Color: Black 30 Edit Quantity Delete Variant
Size:: 2X-Large
I enter them in order - per size color etc.
What am I doing wrong? ...if I am that is.
Thanks
Honestly, those are a few questions I've had myself, but if I had spent the time to investigate have forgotten the answers.
Knowing that there are a few versions of software that accomplish the same basic task, could you possibly identify which you have installed? Ie creinold's, the one developed/revamped/overhauled by robophung?
It seems the majority of the work on this project has been on the store front side of the house and the underlying data storage/manipulation. Good idea though to address collapsing the group of stock for an item. My guess is that just need to encompass that list with appropriate html and voila. As for the order of attributes when identifying quantities, I think (though not sure) that this is based on the order of option names being added to the database (not necessarily the sort order or the like). This also depends on which version of the software is used. It may be that the SQL statements that pull the data need to have a sort order applied to them. Again, I think most of the programmers here are trying to get something that produces cart results and will come back to make it better for the admins. Goal is to sell right?
Where can I downloaded this plugin from?
Has anyone found a solution as to why the attributes are not inputted in any particular order? Also, I am having a few other problems myself.
1) I noticed that when you go to 'Add Quantity For Product Variant' on the 'Products with Attributes' page, the drop downs on that page (/products_with_attributes_stock.php?action=add&products_id=...) are what is reflected on the individual product listing in the store front, where customers view the product. I have changed the SQL (in file pad_base) to sort by products_options_values_sort_order and this is successful for single drop downs, but it does not seem to affect sequenced drop downs at all. Does anyone know where/how to change the SQL to sort the drop downs on the 'Add Quantity For Product Variant' page? I believe these are somehow connected and this may solve my issue in the store front. Here is an example of what I am attempting to describe: http://workingmans.com.previewdns.co...roducts_id=201
You can see that the attributes are loaded into the array and in the correct sort order (denoted by [order]), but when viewing the second sequenced drop down, the values are not by sort order (they are, instead, in the same order as on the 'Add Quantity For Product Variant' page).
2) I also am having trouble loading the 2nd attribute box for sequenced drop downs, but for only some of my products. After some observation, I believe this is due to the Stock ID (seen on the Products with Attributes Stock page) being too large, possibly out of rage. It seems the values that are too large end up being somewhere around ID 10000 or greater. Does anyone else have this problem, or know how to fix it? Here is the issue that I am referring to: http://workingmans.com.previewdns.co...roducts_id=198
The 2nd sequenced array does not display, despite the attributes being loaded into the array. This product worked before (albeit the 2nd array values were out of order, as described in my previous issue), but when I deleted the attributes and re-added them (thus giving them a new stock ID in the 12000 range), the 2nd drop down no longer displayed.
Sorry for the long post, I hope this is in the correct place. I am using both Stock by Attributes and Dynamic Drop Downs.
