That looks like a language file either missing or in the wrong folder.
This should be define in the /includes/extra_datafiles/tracker.php file
Make sure that the file exist and it is not blank.
This is a great mod, thanks! I hear your mod works nicely with Super Orders but I just installed "Edit Orders" and I don't get the option to edit orders. I think I need to edit the tracker.php but I don't know what needs to be modified.
Any help to get this mod work with Edit Orders would be greatly appreciated. cheers!
Enable the super orders module from the admin->Configuration section.
Then edit the file admin/includes/extra_datafiles/tracker.php

After installing 1.3.8 latest version - i no longer can see the USPS Auto-fill button anywhere in the admin. i can see the USPS Auto-fill edit in configurations, just not the button.
any ideas?

You only need to find that little bit of code in the USPS orders.php that makes the button show up and place it in your new orders.php file. I had the same problem when installing the super orders mod. It's just a small piece and should have comments around it to identify it from the core.Quote:

I had posted a thread re the following, not realizing this thread was here because it doesn't show up when doing a "Search" for Package Tracker. Anyway, I'm a graphic designer who has been doing quite well learning PHP on the fly while building a store for someone, but I am totally at a loss when it comes to the instructions for adding to the database per the following README.txt instructions:
I know how to find the TABLE "orders_status_history" and attempted to add 5 fields to the end, but when I tried to execute it, I receive an error message because the fields were empty. 2. Upload the Fresh_install.sql file
After you click the upload button, you should get a successful message in the top of the page. If you get any errors or warning, copy and paste the message on this thread.

This is a limit of Zen, not this add-on. However, if your adding a tracking number it makes sense to change the status to 'shipped'. That's how we do it. Otherwise, just enter something into the comments box...even a period will do the job.Quote:

This add-on works perfectly for me except 1 thing.
Sometimes I ship more then 1 package.
Like for example yesterday i shipped a package via UPS, and today I shipped another via USPS, but it wont let me add the tracking number. it just says "nothing changed"
I also had orders that may ship in more than one shipment. The simplest way to get around this is to add something in the comments box. I'll usually add '1 of 2' and '2 of 2' into the comment box for each shipment.Quote:

Right now you either have to:
Add comments or change the status.
I usually add a comment for multiple tracking id. Use something similar to:
Box 2 of 3.
Box 1 of 4. Contents: Gold rings.
If you get lazy. Just use a "period" as the comment.

I have had this installed for a few days.
Just noticed that the orders screen doesn't properly show my taxes! Had a few hour of panic wondering how my tax setting could have been messed up after months of working perfectly, when I compared the hard copy invoices I have on hand (pre-Ty Package Tracker) and the invoices as displayed by the Ty Package Tracker.
An example:
Proper output:

:frusty:I installed Ty Package Tracker and it seems to work great, but today after getting my first order with it installed, I noticed something different. I'm sure it's something I did, but I can't see what.
I should add that I did use his optional change of define('FILENAME_ORDERS', 'tracker');
When I log into my Admin Home page, I usually click on "John Doe" under new orders and hit the green "E" button to view the order and get the Credit Card Expiration and CV/CV2 code.
However, when clicking on "John Doe", I now get the Ty Tracker Page with no way to view Credit Card Details. It appears that there SHOULD be a green "E" button, but this is all I get:

Trying to think logically, here's what I'm wondering...
a) The Ty Tracker Page shows that green letter "E" for edit in the legend at the top of the page, implying I should be able to do what I'm used to. But since the name of my Admin folder has been changed for recent security, I'm wondering if there's a pathname issue preventing the "E" button from showing up which would normally give me access.
b) There actually is no way to access that info from the Ty Tracker page. If that's true, where do I go to get the CC expiration and CV details?
c) If I'm forced to revert back to usiing: define('FILENAME_ORDERS', 'orders'); can I access Ty Tracker another way? I'm sure I can. I just haven't found it yet!

That's interesting. I have been using Ty Tracker for a couple of years now and never had ocassion to click the green E button before. I just checked and all of the buttons ("t", "e", "i", "p" and "x" on that row are dead on all four of my sites. I have always used the buttons in the "Action" column which do work. However, the "e" button does not show there. For my purposes I always clicked on the "t" button in the Action column.Quote:

I installed on my two sites and on the one working without SEU everything works just fine.
On the site with SEU installed for some reason when the customer checks on their account history it displays a blank page.

I have tried turning off SEU but get no results...still displays a blank page.
Could it be something else other than SEU? It sends out notifications just fine.

I installed Ty Package Tracker some time ago but the link generated in my emails does not work. The "Click here" and the URL to copy and paste does not work. I have entered a ficticious tracking number in the example but the link does to UPS and you still have to enter the tracking number manually. I am using version 1.3.7.1 and I cannot find where to edit the URL so that it works correcty. Any ideas?

The tracking number is included when you send the email when you update the order with the tracking #. As long as you don't uncheck the "notify customer" they will get the email with tracking.Quote:

Are you shipping your own products or is another company shipping them for you, ie drop shipping? If another company is shipping them for you, you'll need to get the tracking number from them when they ship the order.Quote:

Dear friends, I installed this module and everything works perfectly but I have a problem, when a user wants to see the status of your order goes out the page that is blank with no information.
• Version 1.3.8
• Been using this module on other client sites without a problem.
• I am on a GoDaddy server this time if that means anything.
Maybe I did something wrong, but I've checked and re-checked and all files are where they're supposed to be.
I can see Ty Tracker in my Admin>Config dropdown.
I can click on "Add Tracking ID" under customers.
The next window opens with orders.
I can click the "T" icon to add the customer tracking info.
BUT - the next page returns the customer order, but down below where I should be able to add the tracking info, I get a PHP error message:
1054 Unknown column 'track_id1' in 'field list'
in:
[select orders_status_id, date_added, customer_notified, track_id1, track_id2, track_id3, track_id4, track_id5, comments from orders_status_history where orders_id = '2355' order by date_added]
If you were entering information, press the BACK button in your browser and re-check the information you had entered to be sure you left no blank fields.
I'm at wits end. I have no idea what to do here. I read somewhere that "maybe" strict mode in mysql has to be disabled, but I can't help but think this is something else.

MY PROBLEM IS SOLVED.
I'm not sure why or how, but obviously something went wrong in my installation. So, I uploaded the Fresh_install.sql and it seemed to fix it.
Perhaps the original upload didn't write all the fields. Who knows.
My advice for those in a similar situation to uninstall with the Uninstall_mod.sql and then upload the Fresh_install.sql.
I can't verify if this next part is dangerous, but I can't imagine why. I left all my php files on the server and simply resolved my problem by running the mysql files included with Ty Tracker.

Because I've installed Ty Package Tracker, I think this is related to my problem. Order confirmation emails to the customers have a link that reads "Click here for a Detailed Invoice." However, when I click on the link, it returns an error 404 page not found. The link itself reads:

Problem solved. My error.
I have been testing this addon on my comps localhost before going live with it. I have 1 question - added to the zen cart files is 1 image (/admin/includes/languages/english/images/buttons/button_track.gif) but I can't see this image displayed anywhere after installing the addon... where is this button normally displayed?

Surely this should simply say the name of the shipping company used lol... in my case Royal Mail - which I added manually via admin>configuration>Ty Package Tracker
The mod version is listed as April 2008, so I'm pretty sure that's the version I have installed.
My admin looks much like yours, see attached. The 'Customer Name' and 'Shipping Name' are referring to the customer order data, billing and shipping, respectively. The customer name and shipping name for the order. The '(Company)' field is also customer order data, if a customer entered a company name when placing their order. There is no connection to the shipping company used, as you thought.
The only place the shipping company shows up is in the customer view of order history. Again, in the comments field, the shipping company precedes the tracking number. For me, it's usually UPS, so: UPS:1Z4887867678898 with the tracking number being the link.
Looking back at your original question, the path to the image leads me to believe it's in the admin side of the site, but i have no idea where. I've been using this mod for a LONG time and never saw the image or a missing image anywhere. I'd have to conclude it's an 'extra' but couldn't say why.
Well then it will have to remain a mystery lol!!

I guess I'll chime in here. I helped beta test this add-on a couple of years back and use it today on 4 websites. The latest version is v2.3 which you apparently have.
jeking is correct in all he has said here.
This image is not part of this add-on. Check the original downloaded files and you will not find it. Perhaps you had tried a different tracking add-on before installing Ty Package Tracker? It may be left over from that add-on.

I stand corrected. You are right, the button_track.gif image file is there as you stated. I apologize for the misinformation.
I don't recall ever seeing that image displayed. I did a quick search using the Developer's Tool Kit and didn't find any reference to that image. My guess is that it is an artifact from an earlier version of Ty Tracker.
Since it is in the admin area, I suppose Ty had intended it for use by Admins, however I have never needed anything other than is already provided. Likewise customers don't need such a button as they can track by clicking the tracking links displayed in their order history area or in the shipping confirmation emails.

Im actually having this same problem. Mine was a fresh install though not an update. I went back and double checked all files were installed. Shows up in admin panel.
My box is doing the same thing and as a result has shifted my page around. Does anyone have any thoughts how to get the message to go away?

Hi, Thanks for the reply. I went into the php file and just added the word "Tracking" where the original problem was and it changed the heading of the box for me. And the page also shifted back. The only weird thing is I lost the box in "ez pages" I am not sure how that happened.
