Track Package from FedEx, UPS, Postal, DHL, etc..

I have 2 simple questions:

1. Does the Zen Cart includes in the email (sending to customer & seller) the tracking # when an order is placed (providing The Ty Tracker mod is installed)?

The tracking number is included when you send the email when you update the order with the tracking #. As long as you don't uncheck the "notify customer" they will get the email with tracking.

When you update the order, Zen sends an email to the customer saying the order was updated and does include the tracking number.

Yeah, but WHERE I can find the tracking number for a particular order ? IF Zen Cart does not include in email purchase confirmation, how can I find out what's the tracknig number ?

Are you shipping your own products or is another company shipping them for you, ie drop shipping? If another company is shipping them for you, you'll need to get the tracking number from them when they ship the order.

No. The tracking number is only send on Order Status Updates.

You enter the tracking number manually. Once you add the tracking number to the order details, it will be displayed in the admin order detail page and the customers order history page.

Alternatively, if you use a shiping software that integrates with Zen Cart, it will automatically post the tracking to Zen Cart when the shipping label is printed and automatically send an email to the customer negating any need for manual intervention. If you go with such a solution, you will no longer need this mod (but usually the shipping software are not free).

We are currently using Shipworks which is listed on Zen Cart Recommended Services. We have also tested Webgility and T-Hub as they both provide the same functionality but in addition integrates with QuickBooks as well. You can PM if you need more information so we don't hijack this thread with unrelated posts.

I am shipping my own products, but so far I could not test the content of an confirmation email from FEDEX and CanadaPost as I cannot make any "live" transaction...

Maybe someone can help me - I'm looking for the file that echo's in the comments box the information that the customers sees about their order and the status/comments.

I am working with a client that wants to restrict some of the credit card information that the customer sees.

I have looked tbl_tracker_default.php and set up a test echo to see if that is correct file and have done the same with includes/modules/pages/tracker.php but don't seem to be the files I am looking for.

Can someone point me in the right direction I would be most appreciative!
