Image Handler 2 (for ZC v1.3.8 ONLY) Support

Like some others here, I'm not able to get a watermark to show on my images. In configuration->images, I have "IH watermark large images" set to "yes" (I only want the watermark on my large images). And, I have a file images/large/watermark_LRG.png.

Any idea what I might be doing wrong? Thanks.

The images do display on the front end and back end, but I still get the error. Any ideas how to fix that?

before going further on your new installation try upgrading to 1.3.9 while you have not much installed...will be easier now than later

your additional images are they the same suffix as the original one...jpg or gif or png

all of them?

it doesn't look like it is uploading totally when you resave your image in photoshop?? try doing a "save for web" then choose either the gif, jpg or png and upload it after you save it.

After a bit more experimenting, I'm still not getting watermarks *except* when I roll over a small image (to produce a medium image). I've put watermark files in the large and medium directories as well as in the main images directory.

Any suggestions?

have you tried admin/tools/IH2/admin/clear cache

to see if that helps. I know my watermark did not show immediately either...neither did my medium image when hovering until i set the sizes different then cleared the cache and did a hard refresh of the browser (held down shift key while hitting reload of page). Sometimes it just takes a bit to catch up with itself...i guess.

Thanks for the suggestion, Angel. I just tried it (it was a good idea); no change in behavior, though.

Debugging this would be a lot easier if I understood how/when the watermark is supposed to be applied. I get the impression that it's applied dynamically, so I shouldn't be surprised that I don't see it in the image files in bmz_cache.

What do you mean when you say you "set the sizes different?"

hope you can see the images....they are a bit small when viewed but those are my settings for images at my store

Well, that was interesting. I fooled with the sizes a bit (just made the heights correct for the widths even though it's not supposed to matter). Cleared the cache and now...still no watermarks, but now my rollover doesn't work, either.

is it a live store?

if not consider uninstalling it thru admin/tools/ih2/admin/uninstall

then clear the browser cache---then try reinstalling it from the admin section again.

I know i had to do that in my test store but it behaved beautifully in the live one, go figure

I really don't understand how IH2 works, I guess. I tried uninstalling and deleting the cache. I then re-installed, and attempted to add a picture from my uploads directory. I got an error message saying the file already exists. Of course it exists; how else would IH2 be able to process it?

So, I uploaded the pic from my local system. I've got the images back, but...no watermarks and no rollover.
