no probelm, trust me I have bigger fish to fry lol, one site out of 19 sites with htis that I have installed and it doesnt work at all :lamo:
I just installed image handler 2 on my site. After following the installation steps, I browsed to my store (shop.thebricktongroup.com) where I encountered this:
Warning: require(includes/templates/template_default/common/html_header.php) [function.require]: failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /home/.frowsy/bgroup01/shop.thebricktongroup.com/index.php on line 43

I know this is bad and it means I changed a file I shouldn't have, a change which I need to undo. However, I have no idea how to do this. Any help is welcome, thanks!

That should fix your problem
or download the file from my attachment
Turns out I'd somehow managed to delete my entire template_default folder. I reuploaded the folder and now everything seems to be working. Thanks for your help!
no problem thats why most of us use override folders, comes in handy incase of accidents like this.
you can visit the wiki docs for information on how to set this up.
Yeah, am I correct in thinking that as long as you have your custom template backed up all your formating changes are safe? I'm just beginning to discover the uses of the override system.
Thanks again.
in some points yes, but if you add mods etc, its best to use the override so those changes arent lost.
Can i use the images in the bmz-folder for images in the admin. For example the images in the specials are the default images and i want to use the small image created with imagehandler to prevent overload of large sizes.
I can't get additional images to actually appear in the site. They are showing up fine in the Image Handler2 admin area (screen capture: http://agerdes.com/ih.jpg )
But not in the shop: http://bella-beads-jewelry.com/shop/...products_id=37
The shop is ZC version 1.3.0.2. I installed Image Handler2. Twice, actually.
Am I missing some setting in the admin panel that makes additional images visible?

make sure you have the files in the correct place
\includes\templates\template_default folder in the side image handler folder make sure the contents of those three files are in the template file your using for ex. Classic, dump the folders themselves into the Classic folder and they will go directly to thier rightful places.
See if that makes it work
Hi knuckle-101,
I am not sure what you are saying. Do you mean the IM2 install files? To make sure they are all going into the correct folders on the server? They are... If you mean that because I am using a custom template (which I am, named "bella", and for which I adapted the Classic css files), I need to make sure that the IH2 includes\templates\classic\css\style_imagehover.css file is uploaded to includes/templates/bella/css... it was.
getyourgameshere: I tried adding a different image to the same bracelet product I linked to in my orignal post here, and it didn't work.
Can anyone help me?
~anne
if you have the css folder contents in there out the contents of the other 2 folders in there as well in thier correct places. see if that works, it most likly work in the override system.
Do you mean that the contents of the other two template folders in IH2 need to be in my bella template folder as well? Or in their respective (template_default and template_custom) folders? They already are... And in Classic too.
When I install IH, I upload ALL the files to all the corresponding folders. This is not my first site I have running with IH or IH2. Haven't had this problem before, though.
~anne
I used classic as an example. there is a ex: there, however yes load those other files in there as well and see if that works, in the template folder you have, believe you said it was bella?
OK, I uploaded the other IH2 template files to my bella template folder, and then tried to add an additional image to a fresh product. No change. The image shows up in IH in the admin area, but not on the site for ths customer to see.
I think we need to pursue a different angle on this.... but I thank you for trying to help!
~anne
i believe so, some people have the bad luck, but however I got all 7 sites working just fine, maybe IE? trying downloading the lastest addon IE Bug fix?
Or do you have the images as small zoom under admin/configuration/images , I bet a nickle to a donut it something very simple :smartass:
I worked on mine for 7 hours with same problems and those little things I mentioned fix it.
could you check your images folder and see if they are being uploaded to the correct directory? There needs to be an image in the same directory as the original one you uploaded (for example, images/necklaces/pink.jpg) and then one in the large folder with the following structure: images/large/necklaces/pink_LRG.jpg
OMG...I just went through 43 pages and still no solution. Ok...enuff bitching. I have IH2 installed and all seems to work just fine in the admin section. My problem is for the life of me I can't get the images to zoom on rollover. I have played with the admin settings for hours. I have installed, and reinstalled IH2. This morning I even set up a fresh shopping cart with brand new settings and still nothing. My host has the appropriate version of GD installed. For the love of God can someone please tell me how to fix this issue?....It's probably some setting that I haven't tweaked yet. My website is:
www.brooksestore.com
Thanks in advance!
Will
I am using Firefox, so I don't think an IE Bug was the issue. Also, Safari, Mac IE, Netscape, Opera and AOL could not see them either.
I solved the problem of no additional images appearing in the customer view of the site! Huge thanks to Voltage, who had the answer, and knuckle-101 and getyourgameshere for trying!
Here's what actually worked for me (and Voltage): I downloaded the includes/templates/template_default/templates/tpl_modules_additional_images.php file to my customized template directory (named "bella"): includes\templates\bella\templates and edited as follows:
I removed:
<?php
if ($flag_show_product_info_additional_images != 0 && $num_images > 0) {
?>
and from at the bottom of the file I removed:
<?php
}
?>
-being careful to remove all extra spaces on those lines of codev as well.
Uploaded the edited file to includes/templates/MY_TEMPLATE_DIRECTORY/templates
and like magic, the additional images are now visible! Hope this helps someone else.

Hey all.
ok. Have IH2 installed, it wrks 99% of the way it should work.
My client, in her wisdom has added several images to a product withut realising that these images are meant to be images of the same product, so what she has in additional images for an item are pictures of different products.
1st issue, which may not be an issue, when I goto the product where she has additional images and click on one of the extra images, the box appears with nothing in it, yet the main product image works just fine, is this because the images she added are actually linked to another product?
2. When I go into image handler to remove these wrng images, I can see the 3 images appear below, and the i to the right of them, click the i and I get the following error
Error!
Unable to determine the page link!
Function used:
zen_href_link('', '', 'NONSSL')
The link to the page in question is as follows.
http://www.spottedhaggis.com/zen135/...products_id=33
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
seattleannie,
I am just curious, do me a favor
go to admin/catalog/product types/product general/edit layout look for Show Product Additional Images what is this set to.

lol,
Its set to True, but thats not the issue, I expect she will at some point want additional images fr a product but for the moment she has put incorrect ones.

In regards to the two "update" versions of Image Handler 2 for 1.3x in the Zen Cart public downloads area (updates since Tim's final distribution on May 01, 2006):Quote:

/admin/image_handler.php
/includes/classes/bmz_image_handler.class.php

1. Your updated IH2 package upload dated 09-04-06 (image_handler__for_vx_2.0135.zip) shows one new additional file from Tim's final version:
/admin/includes/modules/category_product_listing.php.patch
After reading this thread, and the included readme-1.3.5.txt file, I do not see any reference to to this "patch" file or what to do with it. That is, does the patch need to be manually integrated into orginal IH2 category_product_listing.php file, not just uploaded? I do not observe any instructions on this.
In the patch file I observe:

And also:

Is this PHP method to merge the patch code into the called file at runtime (category_product_listing.php)?
2. I understand html_output.php has been removed (use the ZC 1.35 core version instead).
3. Although DrByte tried to enlighten us I still don't understand the comment as to removal of "duplicate images".
Thanks for the updates.
Thanks for the input. I double checked the permissions on all the relevant directories and even pic files and they are all appropriate. Also, I saw what you meant by different browsers. I use both Linux and Windows so I double checked your site with Firefox and Opera in Linux and the rollover was there in Firefox but not Opera. However, for me, the following site properly displays rollover images in Opera, and Firefox using Linux or Windows:Quote:

Don't know if this info is relavent to anyone having similar issues.

I made the changes found in the first post of this page: http://forums.breakmyzencart.com/t68-couple-hints.html
A lot of users were having trouble with it since the original author of those fixes posted an incorrect line number (specifically this:)
It should be on line 124 instead, so I made that change on there, along with the following changes:Quote:
Change to file: jscript_imagehover.js
Line 126 should be:
ycoord += event.clientY - Math.max(0,(0 + zoomimg_h + (5 * padding) + event.clientY - docheight - truebody().scrollTop));
I made the change to prevent a javascript error in IE 6.x when using the IH Zoom small images feature...
Like I posted in the Readme1-3-5 file, I take no credit for finding the fixes (all credit goes to MM for that)Quote:
Change to file: bmz_image_handler.class.php
Line 643:
Insert $quality = (int)$quality/100;
This prevents crash on png images since the third parameter of imagepng function only accepts a value betwen 0-9.
Change to file: image_handler.php (under admin)
Search for this text: if ($page == 'preview')
Changes:
$pngimage = new ih_image($ihConf['dir']['admin']) . "/" . 'images/ih-test.png', intval($ihConf['small']['width']), intval($ihConf['small']['height'])
to
$pngimage = new ih_image(basename($ihConf['dir']['admin']) . "/" . 'images/ih-test.png', intval($ihConf['small']['width']), intval($ihConf['small']['height']));
--------------------------------------
$jpgimage = new ih_image($ihConf['dir']['admin']) . "/" . 'images/ih-test.jpg', intval($ihConf['small']['width']), intval($ihConf['small']['height']);
to
$jpgimage = new ih_image(basename($ihConf['dir']['admin']) . "/" . 'images/ih-test.jpg', intval($ihConf['small']['width']), intval($ihConf['small']['height']));
----------------------------------------
$gifimage = new ih_image($ihConf['dir']['admin']) . "/" . 'images/ih-test.gif', intval($ihConf['small']['width']), intval($ihConf['small']['height']);
to
$gifimage = new ih_image(basename($ihConf['dir']['admin']) . "/" . 'images/ih-test.gif', intval($ihConf['small']['width']), intval($ihConf['small']['height']));
These changes prevent a directory misalignment where the preview images were not being looked up in the correct location.
Hope the suggestions help.

Thanks for re-posting that info. I made the changes and it definately fixed the preview pics in admin. Im gonna play with the pic sizes and see if I can't get it to work now.

Update on that previous post: all the changes should be there.. just by checking the downloaded version :)
Also another update: the change to bmz_image_handler.class.php should be on line 645/646, not 643. It relates to the PNG files, not GIF. 643 has GIF stuff, while two lines below it are PNG

Hi, I made a search and didn't find anything about this, so excuse me if I'm repeating.
Using IH with 1.2.6 when a customer uploads an image, shows in the shopping cart that image. I remember you telling me how to do it because you didn't think people were using it a lot.
In 1.3+ we have the option from admin to choose "Show uploaded images in cart", but even I've set this parameter to true, the images won't show (it shows the uploaded image name though). Why?
knuckle-101 - You nailed it! Show additional images was off! I did ask if there was a setting I needed to change, when I started this discussion, but I guess everyone missed that.... THANK YOU! Restoring the file I had edited. ~anne

bmz_cache is where your resized pictures are. the large version of pictures do not appear in here because there is no resizing needed for themQuote:

Configuration > Images > IH zoom small/medium images
It creates them for you.. if you already have them it uses them :). I personally only have Large images on my site so it created them for me. I *believe* if you already have _MED images it will use that and resize to small, but I'm not 100% sure on this. I know for a fact that if you have _LRG images, it will resize themQuote:

Hi, hope I'm posting in the right thread...
Just installed ImageHandler 2. Everything seems OK except this:
When I go to IH2's Admin page, and select the Preview tab, the images don't load. Checking the links, they are being searched for at an incorrect URL:
http://ediehats.com/zencart/zencart/...es/ih-test.png
I've actually got slightly diff. names for the zencart and admin directories, but this is the structure of the (incorrectly formed) URL.
Any ideas why this is happening? The images are definitely in the right place, but it's adding an extra "zencart/" to the URL.
Thanks!
adam

Just to pick your brains a little more...

Did you include all the files that were in the templatecustom folder in the other template folder? exampleQuote:

I believe that was the issue. I instead just went and started from scratch. It really was no big deal! By the way, this module is AWESOME! I can't wait to see more updates come from this!
GetYourGamesHere, is there a way to show the product price within the image hover? I am trying to make a product display to where it only shows the images of the jewelry, but when you run the mouse over it, it brings up a larger image with the price/description of the product along with that image. I guess my other alternative would to just photoshop the price with the image, but if there is a way it can run off the database that would be awesome! Again, thanks for the help!
-Jeremy
Honestly I'm not sure how to go about implementing that, but I'm sure theres someone here that would be able to help you :)
Hopefully! Ill see what I can research myself. If you have the correct javascript would it be fairly easy?

Once I did this I lost the picture on the items page. When I click on the catogory the pictures show up, but when I click on a specific item the picture is not there anymore. Also if I click 'Vie Larger Image' it does not show the picture just a box this the the item name in it.

Well I have been looking into each file that I uploaded when I installed IH2. I have found one that gets me the picture back on the product page.
it is: includes/modules/main_product_image.php
I noticed that the old file has lines to look for the other size images that are not in the new file. I am trying to figure out the variables work to build the path at this point.
Any help will be appreciated.
I also still do not have alarger image come up when I click on it. But that will be next...one step at a time
After I uncommented the echo lines to see the path names it is looking in
images/medium/<Filename>
but IH does not seem to be creating these resizes. As I posted before all directories are 777.
Please any help is appretiated
Weird. Could you please check to make sure the jscript_imagehover.js file didn't get corrupted during the upload? Its located in includes/templates/template_default/jscript .. shouldbe 5.92kb. If you could please PM me a URL I'd be able to look into it a bit more in depthQuote:

I would like to have my additional image shown next to the primary image or in the same neighborhood. I'm setting-up a greeting card site so I would like to have the front (primary image) and inside (secondary image) side-by-side. Right now the secondary image is all the way on the bottom of the product listing while the primary is on the top.
I've looked eveywhere (I think) and can't come up with a solution.
Any ideas?
I am not sure how to due this with IH2 but I you place links in the text body that are to pictures and they should show. This is not a pretty way to due it but it might solve your problem... But I am sure there has got to be a better way to do it then that.

anyone else having this issue?
i have the latest ih2 and the latest zencart w/ all updates
are you adding the images in the admin panel? give that a shot.. Tools > Image Handler2.. and click "new file" for the product you're adding it for. Maybe that will work instead.. not sure
If you're adding your images via the admin like the previous post instructed, you will have no problem. To directly upload the images to the server make sure you use the format:Quote:

You will obviously need to substitute image1, image2, image3 with the actually name of the image files.
This instruction only applied if you want to upload additional image directly to the server and have IH2 automatically load them.
thanks for your reply.Quote:

the images are uploaded as you stated (they wouldnt show up when ih2 isnt installed other wise) i just can NOT get them to show up when ih2 is in the data base.
ill try deleting the extra images for one of the products and seei f uploading them through ih2 works that way. i was hoping not to have to do it that way since sooo many of the products have more than one image :(
I have coople smally tiny problems. I have installed the Image Handler 2 to my zencart 1.3
I have my zencart in a folder called /store folder.
1. test images showings as http://www.arthq.com.au/store/store/...es/ih-test.png. How and where can I fix this
2. Need a clarification -
When I add a new product and its image, there is an option to add an image of the product 'Products Image:' 'Upload to directory: ' etc . SO do I add the product image there OR after the product details are added I go to the Image Handler 2 to add my images?
AND If only one image is needed to be added and Image handler to handle the other two small and medium images, why is there three upload image options with small/med and large?
Which upload option should I take if I want to upload one image but Image handler to handle the small and the medium images?
3. Where do I configure the 'Watermarks' ?
how do i define the image size for the small/medium/large?
Totally newbie to ZenCart and IH2. I have searched this thread and I need step by step instruction for installing IH2 onto a test site so I do not break the primary one. I have tried twice to install IH and I believe I take all the files from IH and copy them into admin then admin/includes and so forth. But every now and then IH has the same file as Zen Cart do I overwrite or do I let ZenCarts file stay in tact. I need help. I want to use IH
Hi Everyone,
I'm pulling my hair out on this one.
I can add images and they show, but they don't enlarge when I hover over them.
They also have 'larger image' underneath the image which I would like to get rid of.

to enlarge them, change these:
Product Info - Image Width 150
Product Info - Image Height 120
to the specified height. note that this will change it on the product info page too.. as the hovered image is the same size as the product image on its page
not sure how to do your other thing though, probably a change in the tpl_product_info.php file
