Our QuickBooks system uses invoices, and our site does not have payment processing. Currently, most of our orders are placed by fax and phone.
If the quickbooks sequential invoice number cannot be used with my setup, when the orders are imported do I have to manually enter the invoice number in quickbooks? I do not want to have random invoice numbers with web codes attached to them, but if that is my only option I can deal with it.
In the QBI configuration page, leave the Invoice number field blank and leave the QBI default for PO Number. In the QB templates, you can rename the PO Number field and include it on screen and in your printed invoices. This system works well, and you do not have to enter anything manually. You can not share the same Invoice Number field for on and off-line orders, as there is no way to turn off QB's auto-numbering system and you'll end up with duplicate Invoice Numbers. This is a problem caused by QB, not QBI, and the solution above is the best way to work around it. Only in the case that you never have off-line orders should you put %I in the Invoice Number field in the QBI configuration.
Thanks,
Adam

Quan: 336
No.: 6 to 703
However, there are 697 orders. It just skips some. And the issue shows up in the iif file as well. At one point it skips from order 420 to 506, and many other similar examples. Any idea on why it would do this?
Thanks,
John
In the New Orders download, QBI only includes orders that a) have never been downloaded before, and b) meet the criteria of the "Import Orders with Status" setting in the QBI configuration. The "Import Orders with Status" is usually set to "pending" but can be set to "any" if you don't want to select orders based on their status. The reason that some orders are excluded is because they do not meet both of these criteria.
Thanks,
Adam

Adam,
Thanks Adam. I had to run a SQL command to reset the download status, but now it works.

I sort my items in Quick Book before exporting it to OBI, after I run the configuration / upload then I run the set up / product, in there it all look alphabetic A to Z , when I go thru the process of Match / product the list on the right side ( drop down menu ) are not sorted , it look like all the last few update I made are kind of all over , it start with Tools then I have another batch of tools some where in the middle, while all the other Categories mix up ( I hope you understand me)

QBI does not affect the operation of Zen Cart, so it doesn't need to be removed. But to do so, please follow the removal instructions provided in the documentation. If you would like personal help setting up QBI, please contact me. Also, make sure that your book-keeper has read the user manual. QBI is extremely easy to use, but will not work unless it is properly configured for your Quickbooks accounts.
Thanks,
Adam
Re: Quickbooks Import QBI
Does QBI work with QB Point of Sale?
Re: Quickbooks Import QBI
There are two different possibilities in Quickbooks to be the model number in Zen Cart, either the item name/no or the manufacturer's part number. Which one should be the model number in Zen Cart? Thanks.
Re: Quickbooks Import QBI
With QBI, can I upload inventory quantities from Quickbooks Point of Sale to ZenCart?
