I believe the first release of Edit Orders 4.x should be yours to release. The 4.0 version happened because of you (and the community's) hard work. I'm just working on making some additional changes I need (and hopefully others will find useful).
When and If my changes are stable, if you want me to do a 4.1 or 4.2 etc release... I can, but I do not mind you handling the releases. Having another look over my code before a final release of a large module such as Edit Orders is very valuable and I value input from you and the community. I'm not perfect, and thus my code is often not perfect.

Fair enough.. I finally had a few free moments to work towards finalizing the readme docs.. I'll grab the updates that have been posted here by you and lankeeyankee and plan on trying to get this all updated and submitted by the next weekend (the 15th)..
When you version is ready I would LOVE to test it, and I have no particular preference about how your version is released.. I am just happy you are sharing your work with the community and making Edit Order's better..:smile:

Re: Edit Orders v4.0 for Zen Cart v1.5 attribute handling
I can't really help much more than what I have chopped out to make my day easier with the fix to the current code. I work 100+ hours/week with the regular day to day and have extremely limited time for coding much to my chagrin since I enjoy it.
Hopefully, hopefully the devs will decide to incorporate this feature into the core and will fix it properly. This *should* be part of the core, IMHO. I bet the great majority of store owners need to edit an order one way or another, it makes logical sense to have this ability in the core since it's so useful by the broadest spectrum of users. Hopefully Dr.Byte, Ajeh, Kim or Wilt will look at this and decide that it's a critical feature to add...
I will certainly help debug and check out the code to help with some bug squashing, just let me know when you are ready to alpha test. I just don't have the time to participate in the recoding effort, but thanks for offering to take it on!

I am trying to increase the size of the Input Box on the Admin Side for Edit Orders and can not figure out where to change the size. I need some help fairly quickly.

Figured it out...Tif Increase Size change the "Edit Orders.php file Directly under the Admin Folder. Change all the Input Box sizes to whatever size you wish...but they all have to be the same size or it will not pull in the data.

Thanks , but why isn't specified that is compatible with 1.5.0 version ? -- Zen Cart® Versions v1.3.9

Re: Edit Orders v3.0 for Zen Cart 1.3.9 Support Thread
@Solo_400, the feature of the plugins area which shows compatibility is new - it didn't exist in Jan 2011 back when Edit Orders 3 was last updated. So for old mods, this can sometimes be misleading.

Re: Edit Orders v3.0 for Zen Cart 1.3.9 Support Thread
There is a version 4 which can be downloaded here http://overthehillweb.com/free-downloads and it is 1.5 compatible

I am still running Zen Cart 1.3.8a. I have not yet figured out how to upgrade to the latest version. I need to be able to edit my orders and Edit Orders looks like a good solution. Will it work with my version or am I asking for trouble?
Thanks,

Neither the 1.3.9 or v1.5 versions were tested with older versions.. So no clue if they would.. Suggest that you think about upgrading Zen Cart 1.3.8 versus worrying about trying to make a version of Edit Orders written for newer versions of Zen Cart work with an outdated and unsafe version of Zen Cart. Zen Cart v1.3.8 is vulnerable to hackers..

Just so it's clear the above file is a sample of one of the files you attached here that I am not quite understanding. I have the same issue understanding what to do exactly with all the patches you have submitted.. I was surprised because I was expecting to find revised PHP files so that I could simply use my file comparison program to see the changes you made.. the text files and this format are a bit confusing to me... Hoping you can help me crack the code :smile:

Remove the line with - and add the lines with +. It looks like there were some extra spaces in front of the first define which is why it's repeated without spaces as the new line.
Leave out the rest ( with @@ and the lines above), this is notes about changes and do not need to be included.

Yes that solves this one file.. the other files are not as clear cut as there seem to be pluses where no actual change occurred.. I really dunno what to do here.. In the name of expediency I may have to skip all of these patches and come back at them later.. It's taken me long enough to update the readme, and I simply do not have time to figure out these files to get down to the actual changes..:no:

Post them, I'll help you, shouldn't take long. Or, PM for my email and send them to me, I'll do it, should be a quick edit since I am familiar with this.

Found one additional change that needs to be made.
In YOUR_ADMIN_FOLDER/edit_orders.php:
Find:
Code:
$result = $db -> Execute("SELECT * FROM " . TABLE_PRODUCTS_ATTRIBUTES . " pa LEFT JOIN " . TABLE_PRODUCTS_OPTIONS . " po ON po.products_options_id=pa.options_id LEFT JOIN " . TABLE_PRODUCTS_OPTIONS_VALUES . " pov ON pov.products_options_values_id=pa.options_values_id WHERE products_id='$regular_product_id' ");
Replace it with:

Re: Edit Orders v3.0 for Zen Cart 1.3.9 [Support Thread]
I have stock enabled on my store.
When adding a product, is it possible to only be able to select products from the dropdown that are:
a) Enabled Status
b) QYT > 0
That would be great.

You need to UNZIP the files to view the readme. The instructions are there..

Re: Edit Orders v3.0 for Zen Cart 1.3.9 Support Thread
Thanks for the speedy reply.
I have unzipped the file and opened the readme.html file/page. Somehow the link that says " installation" doesn't take me anywhere when clicked. I know it's supposed to. But it doesn't.
Are the instructions somewhere else that I can have other than from there?
Also, I have Ty Tracker V2.3a installed on Zencart 1.39h, with Edit Orders 1.5.3 installed as well. Edit ORders 1.5.3 does not work with adding products.
So How do I go about solving this problem?
Do I have to upgrade Ty Tracker from V2.3a to which version before upgrading to Edit Orders v3.03?
Or can I just upgrade to Edit Orders v3.03?
Any help and direction is greatly appreciated.
p.s.
I am able to get the instructions now. But still need some guidance in upgrading to Edit order v3.03

I assume you realized that you have to unzip the WHOLE Edit Orders fileset file and not just the one readme HTML file in order to properly read the readme that is included.
That said, since the installation instructions were written with a fair amount of detail in them, I am not entirely sure how to answer your questions.
Have you attempted to to the upgrade following the instructions provided?? If so what issues are you having?? Is Edit Orders not working after you upgrade it?? Are you getting errors after the upgrade??
Honestly your questions are a tad too broad at this point.
The readme is quite detailed and if you are not clear on the instructions I need to know what you are getting hung up on to help.. Based on your posts so far, my answers will only consist of posting what was already written in the readme file (which I will not do). So it will help a lot if you can let me know what part of the installation instructions are not clear for you and then we might be able to move forward. I want to help, but the readme does answer the questions you've posted thus far.

Yes. I have done that and able to read the instructions according to info you previously offered in your reply.

I have not attempted to upgrade yet. Since my site is live and doing business now, I can't afford to have it go down if something goes wrong. I had edit orders 1.53 installed for some time ago and found out "add products" doesn't work with Zencart 1.39h. But never had the time to upgrade it.
My real questions are:
Is edit orders 3.03 for zencart 1.39h competible with Ty Tracker V2.3a (already installed on ZC 1.3.9h)?
If edit orders v 30.3 is not competible with Ty Tracker V2.3a, do I have to upgrade Ty Tracker 2.3a to a version that is competible with ZC 1.39h before upgrading to Edit orders 3.03?

Seriously these EXACT QUESTIONS really are covered (in a fair bit of detail) in the readme.. I am not going to simply re-post the contents of the readme file here. It's easy enough for you to review the readme file and then let me know what you are having issues with.
or
you can help me understand how your question is not addressed in the Edit Orders readme.. What part of the readme file on this particular topic is not clear??
Finally best practices are that you should NOT be upgrading a live store.. You SHOULD attempt this upgrade on a test version of your store. Meaning you need to create an identical version (clone) of your store so that you can test the upgrade first before doing it on your live store.

thanks again for your patience and speedy reply. after carfully reading the instructions. my questions are actually answered there.
But more questions come up.
Should i upgrade to Ty tracker 3.11 first (if i decide to upgrade ty tracker too) before proceeding to upgrade Edit order 3.03?
Or can Ty tracker be upgraded after upgrading edit orders 3.03?

The order you install these doesn't matter.. You do need to do some file merging so they work together correctly, and again the README file for Ty Package Tracker covers all of this in pretty good detail so you will need to review it. Any specific Ty Package Track questions need to be posted on the support thread for Ty Package Tracker..

I am running Zencart 1.3.9h
Edit orders v1.5.3 & Ty Tracker v2.3a was inbstalled. (edit orders 1.53 did not work)
Thanks for the previous reply. As suggested, I have (installed a non live linux lampserver for the purpose) migrated my website to it to upgrade edit order v1.5.3 to edit orders 3.03.
I followed all the steps in the instructions from step 1 to 5, then step 2 of the upgrade section. (step 6 was skip to do step 2 of upgrade section is because I was not able to access the control panel without deleting the files mentioned in step two of upgrade instructions)
Then, I went back to step 6 of basic instructions to run the "edit_orders_install.sql" in the control panel.
("edit_orders_install.sql" file was dragged and dump in the control panel SQL Query Executor box; "send" was Clicked)
The reply I get is a pink bar on the top of the page that said "Failed".
What do I do to get this working> Please help.

copy the contents of the SQL file into the admin SQL executor in the Admin (Tools > Install SQL Patches) and then click "Send" to run it..

No.. (which is why the readme doesn't tell you to use PHPMyAdmin)

Re: Edit Orders v3.0 for Zen Cart 1.3.9 Support Thread
One more question before i attempt to upgrade my live site.
This question has to do with using winmerge. I have never used it before and don't know what i am supposed to do in this step.
In the process for upgrading to Edit Orders 3.0.3, I skipped the process using Winmerge to compare the Required_Core_edits files (namely: compairing orders.php file in my site to the one in the require_core_edits forlder in v3.0.3)
The offline website in my lamp server appears to be working properly after the upgrade.
The only modifications I made to the origial zencart v1.3.9h setup was added:
1. Easy Populate 3.0.3 (this does not change any core files to the v1.3.9h)
2. Ty Tracker 2.3a (this does not overwrite any core files to v1.3.9h)
3. edit orders 1.5.3 (this required some modifications to the core file order.php file)
The question is:
I used Winmerge to compare the order.php file in my current website, with the orders.php file in the "2_Required_Core_Edits"
Winmerge indicates some differences.
So in Winmerge, do I just use the "Merge>Copy to Right" function to create this merged file for upload? (File on the left is current order.php file in my live site. The file on the right is orders.php file in edit orders 3.0.3)
What exactly happens to the file on the left when I do this?
(I did it, and then, compare the original orders.php file in my live website with the resulting merged order.php file. The two files are identical)
Is this the result that I am looking for in the comparison? (are the two files are supposed to be different?) (or, is using the orders.php file in the Require_core_edits to replace the order.php file in my live website the same thing as the merged fiel?)
I am Really lost. Please help.

Sorry but this support thread is not the right place to provide intructions on how to use Winmerge or any other file comparison program.. that said I do not use Winmerge (I prefer Beyond Compare) and couldn't help. I suggest searching on the forum or web for help using Winmerge..

I meant what happens to the file on the RIGHT , not the left.

Re: Edit Orders v3.0 for Zen Cart 1.3.9 Support Thread
Zencart v1.3.9h
ty tracker v2.3a
upgraded to edit orders v3.0.3 from V1.5.3
I took a gamble and merged the order.php files with winmerge and it worked.
There's One thing I am still confused.
Currently there are 4 "Action Flags" (round or icon buttons) at the Ty Tracker v2.3a page that are clickable. They are:
1. Add Tracking ID
2. Display Invoice
3. Display Picking Slip
4. Delete order
The Question is:
Is there supposed to be a 5th Action Flag (Button) for Edit Order along with the other 4 mentioned above?
Reason I ask this is because I see The "Edit Order" icon at the top along with the other 4 icons mentioned before. But there is no Action button for edit orders.

Glad you got this all worked out, but as I previously posted:

I have NO IDEA what you mean by "Ty Tracker v2.3a page"

I mean the page that comes up in zencart admin when I go: Customer>Add Tracking ID
(The Ty Tracker 2.3a version)

First that is NOT an Edit Orders question.. but to answer your question (and this is covered in the readme) Ty Package Tracker v2.3a is an older version and the files in it were not updated to integrate with Edit Orders..

Re: Edit Orders v3.0 for Zen Cart 1.3.9 Support Thread
Thanks for the patience. I got confused which forum i am on due the the back and fourth integrating the two together. either way, it would not pose a big problem if that one specific flag is there or not.
You have been a great help thruoght out the entire process while i tried to correct a problem i made long time ago and had to suffer without the edit orders functions.

Re: Edit Orders v3.0 for Zen Cart 1.3.9 Support Thread
I just installed Edit orders v3.0. but when I click at the edit-button, then I see a blank page.
What did I do wrong?
-
Re: Edit Orders v3.0 for Zen Cart 1.3.9 Support Thread
In the installation was written that I had to delete the edit_orders_functions.php-file. When I put it back I did not see a blank page anymore..

PROBLEM WITH VAT: Edit Orders v3.0 for Zen Cart 1.3.9 Support Thread
I have a problem with VAT,
if I change something in an order with the Edit orders v3.0 module, then the subtotal shows afterwards the price ex VAT instead of including VAT. What can I do about this?

Using the thread tools, search this thread for the two posts which include the the subject "KNOWN ISSUES". It covers the known issues with Edit Orders and taxes..

Not off the top of my head.. I'd have to search for the thread myself.. But I included the words "known issues" in the subject to make it easy for folks to find later..

Re: PROBLEM WITH VAT: Edit Orders v3.0 for Zen Cart 1.3.9 Support Thread
Hi Diva,
I have found the right topic: KNOWN ISSUES: Edit Orders and taxes
I have read all the linked topics, but only one seemed the one that I was looking for.
I followed his instructions in the edit_orders.php file,
................................................................................ ........
89c89
< $AddShippingTax = "0.0"; // e.g. shipping tax of 17.5% is "17.5"
---
> $AddShippingTax = "17.5"; // e.g. shipping tax of 17.5% is "17.5"
593c593,596
< $RunningTaxTotalChanges += (($_POST[shippingtaxrate] / 100) * $ot_value);
---
> $ot_value = $ot_value / (1 + ($_POST[shippingtaxrate]/100));
> $RunningTotalShippingTax = (($_POST[shippingtaxrate] / 100) * $ot_value);
> $RunningTaxTotalChanges += $RunningTotalShippingTax;
> $RunningTaxTotalShipping = $ot_value;
636c639
< $ot_value = $RunningSubTotal;
---
> $ot_value = (($RunningSubTotal + $RunningTax) - $RunningTotalShippingTax);
644a648,653

< $ot_value = $RunningTotal; }
---
> $ot_value = $RunningTotal - $RunningTax;
> //$ot_value = $ot_value + $RunningTotalShippingTax;
> }
................................................................................ ....
but... nothing happened after changing this file. The subtotal is still excluding vat. How can I add VAT to the subtotal just like original orders?

The known issues post was a place to document all the known issues with Edit Orders not a place to catalogue fixes for these issues. To date these are still known issues that have not been resolved.

Hi Diva,
Do you mean that there is no solution for the mod messing up the subtotal and total after changing something in an order?

I'm sure there is a solution.. It's just not part of the current version of Edit Orders and not something I've ever been able to address..
Again..

Re: Edit Orders v3.0 for Zen Cart 1.3.9 Support Thread
I keep forgetting to come and ask this question about an error I get when editing an order:
[10-Feb-2014 17:48:11] PHP Warning: Invalid argument supplied for foreach() in /market/admin/edit_orders.php on
line 1881
the line in the file is:
$OptionOption = '';
foreach($ProductOptionValues as $OptionID => $OptionValues)
{
How do I fix this?

EO version 3.03

I doubt anyone is going to spend anytime troubleshooting and fixing an outdated version of this add-on..
