... and in the other direction. Admin Profiles will not work with 1.5. Its functions have been taken into Zen Cart's core code and extended as part of upgrade for PCI compliance.
Information on how to move from an Admin Profiles-enabled 1.3.9 to 1.5 will appear shortly. Most likely in the Admin Profiles support thread.
Gift Wrap at Checkout required some updates and merges; the 1.5.0 version is now available in the Free Software Add Ons.

If you're doing a change to admin and wondering where admin/includes/boxes went, you can see how to do this in Zen Cart 1.5 by looking at the .sql file in Email Archive Manager.

Can I suggest, as each module gets reviewed (confirmed) that the ZC team move/copy them into a new "Free Software Add Ons" "1.5 module" section. It will move the confirmed away from the old (over time there has been lots of clutter in there)
I would recommend against this - some modules work like a charm as is, others need changes that are not backwards compatible. Updating your mod's support thread to indicate 1.5 compatibility would be the easiest thing.Quote:

When modules need to be updated for compatibility with the admin access control changes in 1.5, it would be helpful to note in the change description that the new version is not backwards compatible with 1.3 or earlier versions.
If changes are for CSRF protection or to remove destructive GET parameters, then they should be remain compatible with 1.3.9 at least.
If changes are to reflect updates to core files into which they intrude or ovewrite, backwards compatibility will be on a case-by-case basis.

Plus, lots of mods in there may be fine with 1.5 but to remain in the list, they should be checked otherwise they are moved to an UNCHECKED or OLD section IMHO.
When I get chance, will check some more.

User Tracking Confirmed Working we updated and cleaned and rearranged some instruction files, Readme etc.
Has not been updated since Feb 16 2007 thought we go ahead and do it. I know tons of customers currently using and will probably want to convert it over. Problem Solved.

Search Helper works as is in 1.5. I have updated the documentation to provide the line numbers for 1.3.9 changes since this mod hadn't been updated since 1.3.8.
Has anyone tested Image Handler?
I'm working on it to change the naming of the files created (adding product title and whatelse the SEO guru will tell me) and to put them on a third level domain (for cookieless advantages and parallelized download advantages). When I'll finish I'll test it on 1.5.0 too (well just finished, but I've to bring my hacks to a fresh IH pack and add some controls to switch on / off the third-level domain usage and write some documentation too).
Image Handler won't work with 1.5. I have somebody here looking at what's needed, but that's likely to be one of the more complicated to upgrade, so it's not first on his list.
clydejones has IH3 working with some changes. His post is in the support thread for IH3.
Clyde has addressed the page registration requirement, but our analysis of it has shown that it also has destructive GET actions - one of the potential security vulnerabilities addressed extensively in 1.5, and which are a tad more complex to deal with.
Indeed that's going to be one of the challenges going forward in a PCI-certified world: understanding "it works" v "it's secure".

The TaxCloud Sales Tax add on has been updated to work with v1.5. It will be available here once it has been reviewed.

Was chatting with a fellow Zenner and she noted that as this thread gets longer, it will be difficult to know what's been reported to work without going through the entire thread.. So like the v1.39 thread that was similar to this one, I thought that perhaps the occasional summary post might be a good thing.. :smile:
I don't "own" this summary (there were issues with that sort of mentality being displayed in the v1.39 post):laugh::laugh: anyone can feel free to post a "working mods" summary..
If a community member reported that an add-on is v1.5 ready, I simply took their word for it.. unless OVERWHELMING EVIDENCE proves otherwise, I assumed they were reporting the v1.5 compatibility status accurately...:laugh: (someone not knowing how to install or installing incorrectly is not the same as NOT WORKING or incompatible IMHO..)

I am not the author, but I have installed Cherry Zen, and it works fine in V1.5
Niestudio has updated Zen Lightbox and it now works perfectly in 1.50.
Installed and working in V1.5 but additional images won't show in the lightbox, not that they showed up before eventhough i carefully followed instructions on how to name them and such.
All: Please don't post to this thread if you're not involved in mod upgrading. If you're having trouble with a mod, post to that mod's support thread; this thread is for mod authors and other developers to announce mod readiness.

To your point, if the mod description is inaccurate and there is no support thread or even mods that are not actively being maintained by ANYONE (SSU comes to mind as an example of this kind of mod). I recall a thread where it was discussed as to whether Module Support thread on the Forum should be optional or mandatory. Although I was rooting for mandatory, general census of those posting in the thread (mostly mod developers) preferred optional. I've not yet submitted a module but I understand there is no requirement for a Support thread link. Some developers provide one in the Module description though, which is a nice touch.
To put a link to a support thread in the description, you do need to create the thread before submitting the mod (or update).

I note that this thread is more about what it should be, and how it should be done, than the actual list; thus while keeping this thread alive for developpers to post the verified mods, wouldn't it be nice to have a closed thread reporting just the list of the approved mods, where no one could post, but moderators will be able to update it.
It would be hard to find the right page with the list on this same thread.

Set up like a spreadsheet where a check mark would show what has been completed/tested held in a sandbox area then moved to Addons and Contributed Modules when totally compatable. Also have a area where addon mods can be requested as needed for 1.5.0 update. This should help the developer, no point in spending time on update if no one needs it.
The Zen Cart team is currently working on ways to make it easier to update the descriptions for contributions in the Free Software Add Ons section.
Updated list. So it's clear, not all of these mods required an update to make them v1.5 compatible. So in the free downloads, they may not reflect that they are v1.5 ready. Devs are working on providing the contributor a means to update the mod description if the only change required is the add-on description or version compatibility.
In the meantime if an add-on is listed in this list, it has been reported in this thread as v1.5 ready:
