Default Re: Confirmed working mods in Zen Cart 1.5

Dr. Byte is saying this because it's important that someone be able to say with some certainty that the mod does not break PCI compliance. If all you can do is say "it seems to work," then honestly it would be better to wait for someone with more knowledge to come along and make a stronger statement.

Again, no offense is intended to any enthusiastic member of the community - but this is really a developer thread.

This is not a problem. If you all don't need the help in checking out and verifying that a module will work with v1.5.0. I need not to post since it just for the developer guys only.

Anyone with the knowledge to check and confirm both function and security should be welcome. Different mods have different levels of exposure.

Made some changes to the module, and it works great.
Until it is approved on ZenCart.com Free Module Addons, the link to download this module is in this thread:

Hi Scott---You said " Updating your mod's support thread to indicate 1.5 compatibility would be the easiest thing". My question is Quantity Discounts updated for 1.5? I noticed on your website it appears to be but on ZenCart mod's downloads it does not say so.

    Thanks

There's no easy way to indicate in the Downloads area that a module works fine if no changes were required. But if you check the Quantity Discounts support thread, you'll see ...

Sure there is, all you have to do is update your description to reflect it on the module download page. Not hard at all.

... then you have to resubmit it with no changes except the description. This clutters the download area and wastes moderator time. That's why I asked people to update their own support threads.

As many Modules do not have a Support thread but they do have a Description on the Module download page, it is better to update the Module Description. Almost mandatory actually.

IMHO it would not be a waste of Moderator time as the Add Ons section is there for people using Zen Cart. And they are the people to be more concerned about. Chicken and the Egg situation.
